[IC]Does it help if my sister is a cleric able to cast death ward several times a day?[/IC]
Okay, I just lost a little of my enthusiasm for this thread.
No, wait, death ward is on the paladin spell list... wasn't one of the participants in this a paladin?
Equilibrium restored.

Well it says "The hand can perform any other action appropriate for a hand and an arm, such as pouring a held potion into your mouth or awakening you from a sleep spell."
I don't think you can escape a grapple with just a single hand and arm, but I can envision a number of acts of passion that you could theoretically do with it. I can see some GMs with less imagination though, so pictures may be helpful to illustrate exactly what sorts of things this entails. After all, a picture is worth 1000 words.

I do get the distinct impression that we need to bring this extremely pressing issue to Paizo's attention. We're nearly 1500 posts in, we still haven't managed to explore every nook and cranny of it, and it's not for want of trying.
Serious face
This needs to be FAQd, and FAQd fast.

the ushers are all too busy... grappling. also there seems to be a questionably bear shaped mound in the way
*Looks up "ushers"*
Oh, so *that's* what Psychopomp Ushers are named after!Anyway...
This brings to mind an interesting concept. All the 'official' redeemed Succubi we've seen seem to have celibacy as a defining trait, like the energy drain is an automatic reaction to passionate activities.
There's more than one?
I only know of Arueshalae from Wrath of the Righteous. In her version, it's automatic, but *only* for only partially redeemed succubi. Once she reaches Chaotic Good (through a checklist of stuff which the new Haunted rules replaced with "cast Protection from Evil a few times"), she loses her Level Drain entirely and gains Breath of Life (giving *herself* a negative level) instead. Also, maybe she had some other buff skills linked to it. Either way, "celibacy" was just required in the transitional period.

Succubi who don't want to energy drain just have to shapechange to a humanoid form if they want to get it on. No celibacy required.
"But it's not the same!" she cried into her hands. "No one understands!" she lamented. "When I'm doing that, I'm just not me~!"
Who would have guessed they'd see a demon cry today?
"There, there, Suki, it's okay." said Drunhilda Beryl, walking toward her friend. "I understand only all too well."
"Y-you do?" asked the reformed demon, confused for a moment. Her friend gave her that knowing look, and a quirked half-grin that said, "You know I do." without words. "Oh - of course!" Suki replied to her own question. She buried her face in her hands again. "You would! How could I be so insensitive?! I'm so terrible at this 'good' thing~!" she wailed.
Beryl stepped forward, hand outstretched to pat the reformed demon on the head.
Unfortunately, "Wily" Witikar - ever watchful for opportunities - had just finished his stilled, silent grease spell. Drunhilda tried - she truly did - to stabilize herself, but servants of nature are not known for their high agility, alas. She slid forward and collapsed on top of Suki, slamming into her.
There was the briefest of moments of pain and confusion. Then, "You'd do that for me?!" Suki spoke from under the powerful (if occasionally clumsy) woman - thrilled.
"Uh, w- n-" she started to say, covered in Witikar's grease.
*roll for initiative!*
*grappled... in grease*
While I've long been a proponent of exactly what Plausible Pseudonym is saying, this started out making a point about one reason that might not be satisfying. It, uh... it went somewhere else.

From swarm traits: "Also, they cannot be tripped, grappled, or bull rushed, and they cannot grapple an opponent."
Succubus swarm sounds much less fun due to that, although the thought of thousands of tiny succubi running amok in a little cluster is amusing to think about.

sadly, i was running a game where a druid, as a WildShape Allosaur and a hunter's Rukh animal companion were grappling a Succubus big bad and i forgot about her Level Drain stuff.
Though, to be honest, the scenario
I would consider a Rukh trying to grab, an Allosaur trying to chomp, Hunter ready to Deadly Aim, a Paladin/Bloodrager ready to smite, and a NPC Investigator- with a fancy sword very "overwhelming" and she tried to flee- and failed.
she didn't last long afterwards.

I have to say, yesterday we played a game, where an NPC ally was a succubus.
She was compelled by a failed willsave to return into a small building.
My cleric with improved grapple, bent on preventing an ally to return to the (elf enchantment be damned) structure (which she herself failed several checks against), made a successful check....
It then dawned on us.....heck, we've got a succubus in a grapple on our hands.
Thankfully she didn't try to level drain me, as means to escape and get back into the building.

Rasputin in a grapple. The tactics that never came to life.
We have a summoned Celestial Octopus, a Cauldron of Overwhelming Allies, a Wand of Enervation and a prepared Summon Monster VII. Oh, and Rasputin, Russia's Greatest Love Machine, as the fortunate man who is going to get all that loving!
The strategy never made it to the real game, though. *Sigh*

Forgetting 'bout the druid
Is more than we can bear
And so we necromance this thread
'Tis really only fair
For we would truly like to know
She's happy with her fate
And other things as well, you see
Which simply titilate
There's nothing wrong with trying to learn
But beware forbidden fruit
The things which you discover
You might find that they don't suit
A practical approach, therefore
Is very scientific
Not to mention that the scene
You set is quite terrific
A succubus is simply then
One great forbidden apple
And even wild shaped druids
Should avoid that naughty grapple
But if you're going to do it
Scientifically, and fair
Your best bet probably will be
To shapeshift to a bear
The problem there, though
Not meaning to be rude
Is that bears always find
They wrestle in the nude
A succubus will take advantage
Of such a fine condition
And turn combative action
Into a rude position
And then you're done, her passion is
Most certainly not feigned
And then our druid finds herself
Wantonly quite drained
And not, afraid I am to say
In the pleasant way
The druid will be lucky if
She lives to see next day
So bring your friendly paladin
And hope she doesn't fall
Because she will defend you
Bear, naked, grappled, all
She will make quite certain
That you'll make it through the night
Her hand will rise, and cheeks turn red
When levelling her smite
Succubi don't like that much
And thus peace now may pass
And grateful everyone should be
That the paladin smote her...
Thoroughly.
