This is harder to say but I am beginning to feel that the players are getting rather overshadowed by the NPC's. I mean how many NPC's are going around with us ar this point anyway? Armitage and Cummings have the occult and scientific knowledges covered and the two new guys seem to be fighter types so what is left for the players? Anyway that is how I am feeling.

You're right this is not a typical Chaosium Cthulhu game, still I think we don't have many real combats (only two by now in 1k posts). The current situation was also surprising for me...I try to get this back into smoother waters, but I think it's pretty close to original Lovecraft tales like Dunwich or Charles Dexter Ward - which were also rather gritty.
Still, I agree when it comes down to the NPCS, but I felt like they had to be inserted after we lost so many players in the beginning and people became rather inactive.
Hope it's not too annoying for you, I guess things will get better :)

Well enough to be still around here ;-). Good to see you, it almost feels as if your and Zyrens frequent absents make the fire go dimmer...
Still, I'm going to sleep now, my days (and especially weekends) are quite busy atm (working t the draft of my paper for the master degree), too and I'm drained right now.
Good night everybody.

We have all the main roles filled in HoJ: psycho über-violent preacher, sneaky gun wielding goblin, polite quiet yet dangerous ogre, pleasant yet slightly disturbing tiefling of uncertain morals, and motherly elf sorceress who we all ignore. What more does a party need.

A hippie druid attempting to cool us all down through generous use of psychotropic mushrooms and "the leaf with seven spears"?
I already have one of those in one of my campaigns. How about a pacifist halfling cavalier specializing in non-lethal combat. That would probably fit in quite well with us.

Indeed, he can bludgeon it to the ground so the goblin can enjoy fresh meat.

I have had a Little Red Riding Hood character floating around in my head for a bit. Halfling based Cavalier with a wolf mount.....I'll read over the last several post to get a feel for the party and such.
Bilbo - Just play Vidor as he was unless you want to change. We have decent muscle - Jez(20 Str Fighter/Oracle/Cross-Blooded Sorc/DD); Ragnvald (19 Str Evangilist wielding a great sword); Attalas (26 Str Fighter/Warrior) [ooc] When was the last time your front 3 at level 2 had a combined 65 Str - especially when only one is actually a Fighter); Mobo (Gunslinger/ranged); and Nymeria(Sorceress/punching bag).
Another true arcanist and/or skill monkey would be best in my opinion. We have lots of muscle, but some buffing/debuffing would not hurt. Or just create a strange character that would not fit into any other campaign and have fun. That is what we do most of the time when we are not singing really bad songs.

He is good - or you could turn him into an Arcane Trickster or Arcane Archer if you feel so inclined just to be different. Either way, I look forward to having your voice in here - as fun as it is, there is only so far one can push Ulfen and Ogre poetry before it devolves into fistfights.

It seems my IP is blocked at home - strange. Will try from work and shoot paizo's techies an inquiry. I may make some off color comments, but am pretty sure that there is nothing I have done which would result in the IP being blocked.

Apparently they screwed something up yesterday when they did a "software" upgrade. I can get on at work using AT&T, and on my phone (also AT&T), but not from home where my provider is ComCast. There is a thread on this with several people posting. Paizo is aware of the issue and trying to correct it, but who know what the source is or when it will be fully fixed. My guess is that a lot of people across the country, and possible the world, are affected by this.

Jez will never really be a caster. Yeh, she will end up at like CL 13 I think, but she will still be a front line fighter with a 36+ strength if all goes as planned. I say take wizard - although we are lacking in a skill monkey which the Bard would give us depending on how you mad him.
As I recall it was 4d6x7 drop the lowest from each 4d6 and drop the lowest overall roll. Just remember, except for the elf, we all suffer for serious cases of dementia. And we just ignore the elf most of the time - I think she is try to keep us from either killing ourselves or killing other people - not certain though.
With this crowd almost anything will work. If we need any blasting spells, we can always cast enlarge on Attalas and let him just cleave the whole enemy army.

I could not find the original post so I am going to just roll up new ones. DMZ,let me know if this correct.
4d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 4) + 7 = 19=17
4d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 2) + 7 = 21=19
4d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 3) + 7 = 25=22
4d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 1) + 7 = 20=19
4d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 6) + 7 = 24=23
4d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 6) + 7 = 18=17

4d6+7=17
4d6+7=19
4d6+7=22
4d6+7=19
4d6+7=23
4d6+7=17
Bilbo, you drop the lowest, thus:
10, 12, 15, 12, 16, 10 --> This would only be a 21 point buy character. What you should have done was:
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6, 2) = 13 --> 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 1) = 15 --> 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 6) = 13 --> 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 3) = 8 --> 7
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 1) = 14 --> 13
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 3) = 15 --> 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 5) = 17 --> 14
I also think that DMZZ lets you reroll if your total is less than 75. Yours is exactly 75, so I would ask him.
Also not a great roll, but would result in a 14, 14, 14, 13, 12, 12 character - or a 22 point buy.
