Stepping in the doorway, Pakuzzo steals a glance at the workers, and his eyes narrow. He looks back at the mercenary at the desk.

"You can tell Asmodeus to make up some extra beds, for starters."

Swift action to switch to Animal Focus Tiger for both Pakuzzo and Vinz (adjustments are marked with an asterisk in their statblocks).

The creature gains a +2 enhancement bonus to Dexterity. This bonus increases to +4 at 8th level and +6 at 15th level.

In an eyeblink, he raises the shortbow and fires a shot point blank at the man's chest.

Firing the +1 composite shortbow at the mercenary at the desk (24 arrows remaining).

Turning to the guard that spoke, Pakuzzo raises his bow and fires a shot. With but a whistle, he alerts Vinz of his desires and the two attacks seem to find their mark simultaneously.

Marillo, hustles over to assist, swing his sword, he misses by mere inches.
Took you a move action to get to the guard, so they ki point wasn't used for second attack. Good news is, all of them are still flat-footed due to horrible initiative roll

Turns out I was using rage wrong. It's a spell like ability so standard action to cast, but doesn't leave him fatigued. As I missed I'll just assume that rage isn't up

Once he's certain that the mercenary at the desk has been dispatched, Pakuzzo moves toward the guard at the back of the room. With no quips this time, he fires the shortbow at the man and then signals Vinz to attack him.

With no time to take his usual treat of eyes, Vinz heeds Pakuzzo's command and flies toward the mercenary in the back with murderous intent.

Cerenity polishes off the guard offering to help, before training her weapon at the next guard. Popping off a shot, she blows off the man's ear.

Pakuzzo turns to the remaining uninjured foe and fires his bow, the guard manages to spin just in time to avoid the major organs. However, he still gets nailed by the well aimed projectile.

Vinz, following his companions request soars across the room and tries to bite the man. The raven finds itself unable to pierce the armor an this attempt.

The strange man rushes into the room, spying his companions occupying their opponents, he makes his way towards the prisoners.

The sage of Kintargo hustles in to stand between Cerenity and her current target, club at the ready for the coming unpleasantries.

Noting her current target had fallen, Marillo rushes to aid the Crady; shoving his sword deep into the mans back. A stifled "Urrp...w-why?" is heard as he drops to the ground.

Seeing the wanton mayhem unfolding before his very eyes, the man finds himself shocked, unable to move for several moments as the events unfold. Finally finding his voice, as the arrow pierces his hide, he shouts "Intruders! We're under attack! They're...they're killing us!"

Proceeding to draw his mace, he takes up a defensive posture and tries to swing at the raven beside him. The guard's desperate maneuver would have hit...if the raven wasn't flying...and swings well below the creature.

Pakuzzo, Vinz, and Marillo quickly find places to hide within the room, preparing for the incoming reinforcements while Cerenity offers to provide cover fire for the others.

Taking Cerenity up on her offer, Luthor and Crady get to work trying to free the prisoners.

Suddenly the double doors burst open and two more guards stroll into the room. The gruesome site of their skewered coworkers seems to startle them as they stop in their tracks.

But a few feet behind them is a heavily armored dwarf. The emblem of Asmodeus stands out on his shield, while he holds some kind of lumpy round bag in his free hand.

Seeing the enemy come in, and with his blood still pumping with exhilaration, he took his bloody blade and tumbled past the first flat footed guard. He fainted at the man ran in, causing the shocked man to raise his blade to parry. By the time that he realized that the blow wasn't meant to land Marillo was already past him, and stabbing at the dwarf's exposed face.

Damn, that felt good. But if only his sneak attack could crit. Or if his base damage was higher. I think that he might have to pick up power attack and switch to two handing. At lvl4 it'd be 1d8+9 damage...much better than the +3 he has now.

Cerenity levels her pistol as the doors burst open and pulls the trigger. 'kRACK' rings out as the projectile sails through the air. Connecting with the guard, he stumbles back but stays upright.

The feathered duo concentrate their focus on the other guard, trying to keep them busy as Luthor and Crady work on freeing the captives. An arrow protruding from his chest and a chunk of his face missing, the man remains on his feet.

Marillo...DAMN!
Faking out the guards busy with his companions, Marillo finds it easy to slip past to the dwarf. With lightning speed, he swipes the dwarven man across his body, shoulder to hip. As a single braid drops to the ground, a sticky read substance begins oozing from under his armor.

Looking the man straight in the eyes, he bellows "Why you little...Kill THEM! KILL THEM ALL!" Swinging his mace for Marillo's head with all his might; he misses by mere inches.

"Aye!" replies his companion. Stepping forward, he brings his mace to bear against the bird. With a mighty swing, he whacks Vinz in the back.

Almost knocked senseless by the force of the guard's blow, Vinz nevertheless sails unsteadily back towards Pakuzzo, landing behind the relative safety of the table.

Fly (50 ft.), withdraw action.

Withdraw:
Withdrawing from melee combat is a full-round action. When you withdraw, you can move up to double your speed. The square you start out in is not considered threatened by any opponent you can see, and therefore visible enemies do not get attacks of opportunity against you when you move from that square. Invisible enemies still get attacks of opportunity against you, and you can't withdraw from combat if you're blinded. You can't take a 5-foot step during the same round in which you withdraw.

If, during the process of withdrawing, you move out of a threatened square (other than the one you started in), enemies get attacks of opportunity as normal.

Cerenity fires another shot across at the closes foe, missing him.
RTA Attack vs Red into melee: 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 4 = 6

Fearing for his feathered friend, Pakuzzo calls Vinz back to his side. He then proceeds to release an arrow at the offending guard. The attack connects between the lashings of his armor with a solid 'Thunk'

Luthor and Crady continue to try releasing the prisoners. Seeing the sage work on the locks, Luthor begins using the debris to try breaking one.

Marillo steps away from the dwarf, pleased with the damage he'd inflicted and drops the guard behind him as Vinz swoops to safety.

With a nod to his subordinate, the dwarf side steps next to Marillo. "Ya gonna pay fer your insubordination! We'll drop you here and now!"

The remaining guard steps in front of Marillo and both men attack the swordsman. The guardsman seems to be holding back though, trying to protect his vital regions.

Turning back to the dwarf Marillo swung out with his blade again. He gritted his teeth in pain as he did so, but it only served to spur him on.

"Over my dead body!" He immediately realized how bad of a retort that was. However, the cut of his blade spoke for him better than his words.

Meanwhile, Luthor and Crady manage to free one of the captives who quickly turns to help them with the next prisoners shackles.

Marillo turns back to the taunting dwarf and manages to poke him with his wicked blade. Though still standing, it's apparent Marillo's attacks are wearing on the armored man.

"Asmodeus will ensure my victory of the likes of you scoundrels!" hollers the bearded man as he swings wildly for Marillo. "HAZZAH! Our victory is guaranteed! Come minion." he adds as Marillo falls, stepping back into the corridor.

Hoping the newly-freed captive will have better luck freeing the other prisoners, Crady pokes his head out of the salt room to find Marillo has fallen. Overcome with concern, the urban druid double-moves toward the fallen tiefling.

With a crunch Marillo hit the ground. His mind shot back to the protest massacre when the Thrune thugs had similaraly bludgeoned him to the ground. He was lucky that the dwarf wasn't tall enough to have reached his head. With blood leaking out of the corner of his mouth, Marillo tried to rise but found that his body just wasn't listening...
