Looking closely at the wounds and the victims mouth, you realize the teeth weren't knocked out. The only way wounds like this could be made is if something or someone pulled them out whole.
Luthor Aesernus
Though he would have liked to have poked through the ashes of the estate to see if there were any basement areas that survived the flames, Luthor figured that would have to wait until he could figure out how to significantly extend the amount of time he could spend invisible. For now, there were too many people watching, and he wanted to get out of the Greens before his disguise wore off.
As they pass the rice picking citizens Luthor quickly surmises what had happened in the moments before; that the CCG goons had knocked the rice down in the first place. He was in his normal form now so he couldn't do much, but he did make sure a roof tile "fell" at one of the CCG guys faces.
Arriving at the wharf, Luthor peers down into the water below. "How deep do you suppose the water is Pak?"

Gonna forgo the spoiler tags until we need to change venue again.
Shabbezz gazed into the water and shrugged.
"Probably deeper than it looks, if the whole of the Thrashing Badger sunk into it," he replied to Luthor. "I don't suppose that mind magic of yours lets you breathe water, does it? I'm not that keen on swimming down for a closer look, and the last time I got this near the water I almost lost my head, not that I have to remind you."

Looking down at the body, Cerenity stays silent. These are his people. I should let him handle the discussion she considers.
Though passerby's glance in your direction, none stop or pay you much attention.

Pakuzzo points to an area in the water and calls Luthor and Lurio's attention.
"Hey, see that, by the rubble here?" he says. "Looks like jewelry--a pendant? In the shape of a rose! I wonder if we can reach it?"
Marillo Sullus
Once Marillo and Cerenity leave, he will lay out his plan. Come nightfall when most are inside their homes, the two of them will patrol the Devil's Nursery. Marillo will stealth behind her, waiting for the murderer to strike. With luck and patience it is his hope to catch the monster off guard, and to kill him when he thinks he is going to find another easy victim. She will be the bait, as Marillo looks human enough that even he doesn't readily admit to being a Tiefling. In the dark and from a distance he would look far too human. She, though, has four arms. An unmistakable Tiefling, even though she in actuality isn't.
Luthor Aesernus
Luthor scans the water for the pendent, finally catching sight of it as Pakuzzo points towards it. "I see something shiny down there, but I'm sincerely impressed you can make out any sort of motif on it. I think I can get it. He extends a hand over the waterside wills the pendant up towards it.

The biggest clue that night is falling comes by the tieflings hurrying about, desperate to get in doors. By the time the sun finishes setting, Marillo and Cerenity appear to be the only two left on the street.
Cerenity looks to Marillo, ensuring he's set up before she begins her patrol. Heading out into the dark alleys, she searches around the decrepit buildings; the intermittent stench of stale urine drifting through the air.

Shimmering water drips from the pendant as it floats up into Luthor's outstretched hand. He glances at it only for a moment before quickly tucking it away. "Best we not be seen in public with that particular artifact." He steps away from the water. "I'm afraid that's the best I can do with underwater things; I'm a fox, not a fish. Come on, we've got one more place to visit this afternoon." He turns and starts to walk back up the street.

Pakuzzo nods.
"Agreed. That's something we don't want to be caught out in the open with."

You both gained 150xp from your fight. How do you plan to get back across the river? Marillo, you gathered enough fairy goo that your companions can try the knowledge check upon meeting back up with them.
Pointing to the box Luthor is tossing pebbles at, Lurio hurriedly suggests "Pakuzzo, right there's a box. I think someone is coming. Grab it and lets go."
Dusk falling now, he adds "It's got to be getting close to curfew and we have to get back across the river, I'm thinking Pakuzzo would rather not have to swim."
As the hours pass by, you continue to haul bucket loads of water out of the fetid pool. The creatures you encountered on your first visit are either gone or just hiding. Either way, they haven't bothered you and the corpse's have all disappeared.
Recalling the beauty of Kintargo's past helps the time go more quickly. With a smile on your face, you are able to look forward to the beauty you are going to return this once great city to.

Making an obvious retreat would undermine the overall effectiveness of the night, as he would undoubtedly relate how he had scared of the phantom that had overthrown several of his men.
He crouches down, then runs straight at the lieutenant, 20ft, 15ft, 10ft, and then making as if to leap at the lieutenant, he vanishes as the specter breaks apart around the the dottari.
Luthor had timed his jump to make it look like he would gain more altitude than he did. Instead, he quickly skirts around the lieutenant and dashes to the other side of the bridge and finds a place in the shadows to hide. Running, Luthor can move 240ft while invisible
Standing up, sniffing the air, the fox rears up on its hind legs and grows, but still maintains a somewhat vulpine form. Closing his eyes, he concentrates on the lieutenant, and begins mouthing four words, repeatedly. The lieutenant begins to here a voice that seems to come from nowhere and is barely audible, but he can clearly make out the repeated words.
"The Ravens are returning."
Cast vanish and then message. I think that pretty much concludes Luthor's episode, sorry it kind of took over for a bit guys. But hey! The bridge is nearly clear.

Shocked at the fox's charge at first, a broad smile grows over his face. Raising his massive mace, he prepares for a fight. "Have at me!"
Swinging his weapon down with all his might, the creature vanishes into a mist. "What? Where'd it go?" he asks, as a few more guards arrive onscene. {b]"It was..."[/b]
He breaks off as the wind brings a whisper to his ears. Frowning, he looks around. "Blasted! Thrune will want to hear of this. Greg! Go report the fey are trying to resurrect the Ravens! Rest of you, lets find this one!"
Three men, including the lieutenant begin searching the southeastern section of the bridge. "It's gotta be 'round here somewhere." he mutters.
The south western portion where I imagine Pakuzzo, Vinz and Lurio are camped out is low-light from the lack of lanterns there.
Mumbings of foxes and raven's reach the tiefling's ears as he stays out of sight. Their search pattern seems to favor the east side of the bridge, leaving the west side unlit.
You believe it's possible to sneak across if you stay to the west side and are careful.
All can make it back to the hideout without further incident at this point, unless someone wishes to cause more incidents. :-P Marillo and Cerenity would arrive approximately an hour after the others. I'm assuming Crady heads back to the hideout as well.
The halfling proprietor hussles you in as you return. "Off the street! Off the street! It's passed curfew!" she scorns in a hushed whisper. Offering you a mean of warm bread and stew.

Marillo nods to everyone has he enters. He looks around for Lurio, but seeing him absent just hopes for the best. He hoped that his old friend was stil back at his estate, working his noble ties and not...well, something best not thought of.
"Cerenity needs healing. We found the bastards behind the murders, and they almost got her too. Luthor, Crady. Come, you need to see this..."
Excited and confused, Marillo wastes no time filling in the others once Cerenity has had her wounds tended to.
