FLOWER POWER!

A hero's work is never done! Especially when strange new plants start appearing in the woods—plants whose presence draws all manner of trespassers eager to take advantage of the sudden, mysterious bounty. But where are these plants coming from, and what sinister development in the heart of the forest does their arrival signify? Could it be the beginning of an invasion from another dimension... or something worse?

In A Few Flowers More, you take on the role of one of four unique leshys—mobile plants who have been granted wills of their own. When word of strange supernatural developments in the depths of the forest comes to light, it falls to you and your friends to take care of things!

A Few Flowers More is a short adventure for 4th-level characters that serves as a sequel to A Fistful of Flowers, yet it can be played on its own. This adventure takes a band of leshy heroes into the very depths of a primeval forest and pits them against a supernatural threat that's literally out of this world. The four pregenerated characters also provide a quick way to jump into this exciting Free RPG Day offering right away! Grab your friends, grab some dice, and play the role of the forest's newest heroes!

A Few Flowers More is sanctioned for use in Pathfinder Society Organized Play. The rules for running this Adventure and Chronicle sheet are available as a free download (842 KB PDF).

A bit scant, but has potential

GM'ed this Adventure a couple of weeks ago. Reading through it I felt that there wasn't too too much to the adventure. Fearing it'd be done soon, I added a bunch of extra little set pieces. I'll put the details in the discussion for those interested.
They PCs get handed a fight, but the fight itself isn't too hard or very interesting. My players did get trapped by the spiked pit, but tbh four 40+ hp creature vs four 40+ hp creatures isn't much of a challenge? It was fun to see them go from lawful Let's-hand-this-evil-candlemaker-over-to-the-police leshies to complete murdermachines splattering the Jinkins all over the place. They did get around to sabotaging the claws, but they never checked out the boots.
Then they make a singular check and it's on to the final fight. It seems a step down from the interactions with the campsite, deer, townfolk, shopclerk, and crystal hazards from the first adventure. The final fight is sort of interesting, as bosses that heal are always a little frustrating, but then the finale, closing the gate, is also, like, a singular check. So yeah, wasn't too impressed, but if you add some stuff to round it out it can be a fun little adventure.

It's a 4.5 page adventure

I don't understand what happened here. most of the pages are taken up by pregens and how to play them.

If you are looking to attract new players, maybe don't give them level 4 PCs that need 2 whole pages to explain each of them. If you are looking into this as a players somewhat familiar with DnD adjacent games, this adventure will probably take you an hour to complete (2 fights)

Will there be a flip mat spoiler list for this, and early access provided to those that might want to run it for free rpg day ?

This is not a PFS scenario and as such very likely uses custom maps, not standard flip-mats.

Linda, can we get the pregens in advance of Free RPG Day? I'm supposed to run it and I'd love to have them for the day! Thanks!

Yes 2 custom maps on the inside cover. But easy to draw or use a flip map close to it.

^ Why posting after midnight is a bad idea. On the other hand, this was time-sensitive. I hope someone gets to use these today.

I like the red cap!

Really enjoy the update to the character sheets - giving new players some basic tactics/interactions is great. The one thing I still really don't like is for things like Rage for Popcorn - for the love of all the gods please put a raging/non-raging damage in the sheet, including damage type. I get not putting what all the feats do (there's a lot of them!), but that omission makes it difficult to play.

We wound up making cheat sheets for all the pregens. Let me see if I can get GM threads started for the Free RPG Day games and post the cheat sheets there.

Hmm

EDIT: Here's the link to the GM Thread for A Few Flowers More.

I think it may be a general problem.

I'd guess whatever setting is preventing it from being purchased until the 30-day limit is up is also preventing preorders. Hopefully it gets resolved before my sub ships!

It's not just this product. We are currently working on fixing a bug that is preventing certain subscribers from checking out with preorder items in their cart.

For those that have run this, how long did it roughly take? Planning to run it at a local con in September

Would moving such items to the "Saved" section help?

It took between two and two and a half hours to run.

Would there be any chance to have the pregens without the watermark? I’m planning to let my players know more about their characters in advance!
Thanks in advance!

Hope it's OK to post this here, but as I felt that the adventure was a bit thin (two nearly back-to-back fights with little to flesh it out), I added a couple of elements. If anyone is interested I'll put them below (contains spoilers).

A - Intro - I opened the adventure with a blurb about a druid, living in the Verduran forest, who finds her pumpkin patch overrun by otherworldly flora, as one of the first witnesses to the effects of the portal. I also had the players write a little blurb about where in the world they were when getting Stella's message (I figured she'd reach them out in the world).

B - Band of botanists - The adventure tells of a campsite abandoned by botanists after the jinkin invasion, never to be heard from again. Of course, if the jinkins are trackable, so are they. I enabled my players to find this band of botanists, interact with them, and get their notes and a device pointing out the direction of the portal. If they hadn't tracked them, they could have emerged, wandering, from the brush if D had proven to difficult. The botanists have to be calmed and persuaded, but eventually just want to get home and ask directions from the Leshies.

C - Druid from the intro - After the first fight, making their way to the portal, they reach the druid from the intro's little shack with its garden patch, bordering on a swamp. Looking out over the swamp, the PCs can see magically dancing fireflies that try to Fascinate them and lure them into the swamp. The druid asks for help fixing her garden (Popcorn can win a HP by finding edibles).

D - Overgrown ruins - The portal is found in the middle of an overgrown settlement. The overgrowth is old, but now also interspersed with otherworldly flora. There's a couple of harmless plants, but there's ferns the react to sound, shooting out spores that confuse, and prickly brambles that grow back two strands when cut (fire solves this). They can find hints on how to deal with this in the notes they get from B.

So, some more play, interaction, checks, and puzzle solving is required. In total this brought the adventure up to about the same playtime as the first part. Feel free to use any of these ideas.
