Raise the Roof!

5/5

Rooftops is one of those map packs I haven't used nearly as often as I should. It would be perfect for my Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign to represent the Shingles (a sort of "city above the city" made up of rooftops dwellers). In addition, the tiles work great to depict narrow alleyways. There's some great (and suitably subtle) details, like racked rooftop tiles, a makeshift bridge spanning an alleyway, chimneys, and more. I think the main thing I like about the set is that sometimes it's nice to have urban scenes without the visual clutter of the interior of buildings that some other map packs and flip-mats provide. It's an excellent set, and one definitely worth using.

Rooftops + Marketplace + Slums = Triple Threat of GM Map Packs!

5/5

Buy this set in conjunction with the Slums and Marketplace map packs and you will be prepared to lay out any village, town or city that your PC's come across. When I first started planning my map pack purchases, I was disappointed to find that it is difficult to lay out a scenario properly using only one map pack.

Once I added a few different packs to my collection, the true power of the map packs were revealed as they combine in a near infinite variety of layouts. Now with my city triple threat of map packs in tow, I can lay out any town, large or small, from Absolam to Kaer Maga without any trouble!

If your PC's are headed into town, get your triple threat of map packs going today and you'll be prepared for anything they throw at you.

Nice for urban settings

4/5

Especially useful to run Curse of the Crimson Throne !

Great, must buy for urban adventures

5/5

The maps are a great, interesting and very useful collection of 'vanilla' fantasy city alleys and buildings. They look gorgeous and in most urban campyigns will see regular use. If combined with the marketplace map packs, you have almost everything you need for 'urban outdoor encounters'.

Does just what it says, but better!!!

5/5

This is not only rooftops, but adjacent alleyways and city scenes. This is perfect for backstreet alley chases at ground level AND rooftop action as well. 100% customizable and modular.

Sweet!

This is truly awesome. The D&D Tiles City box was awful specifically because it had no rooftops. How strange that you've keyed in on that...

This would work great with Chase Cards as well, methinks...

Cool.

And, hopefully, the footprint of the buildings matches other sets that show interiors.

Because I've got those really cool Combat Tiers things, and those would work out great with matching tiles.

Kind of like the opposite of those paired town flip map/tiles sets.

Liberty's Edge

Interesting! I too missed having more rooftops in the D&D City Masterset of Dungeon Tiles (luckily I had a few from the Streets of Shadow dungeon tiles set). Hopefully this can fill a nice gap.

I've updated the image and description and added sample tiles.

Can we get an image like the Lost Island one, showing us what the 'expanding the urban sprawl' looks like?

Those are really cool, might invest in the PDF

The pack I purchased included a mispackage; I received two of the same tile (the first one, using the back cover as reference) and missed out on one of the others (the sixth one, counting left to right).

Is there any way to get this corrected, or is this just chalked up to rotten luck?

I would just email customer service. They'll probably mail you the one you're missing. Look at the sample pictures above and send them a picture of the one you're missing.
