I got nothing. The GM will feed us information as we go along and we haven't started yet, one spot open.

Anybody hear anything about the new Star Wars; Edge of the Empire system? I just signed up for testing it over on rpol.

http://rpol.net/game.cgi?gi=55224&date=1367426337

Hey guys. A heads up from me here.

I'll be moving this summer, end of July most probably, so my internet might get hectic during that time but bigger news; I just got accepted into Reykjavik University where I'll be studying for a BSc in Computer Science for the next three years, starting august 19th. I don't know how that will impact my schedule or my ability to play play-by-post, time will have to tell.

"..What!?.."

Confused at the suddenness of the posted bounty on his head Juce brings up his brace computer and looks over the listed bounties for Tattooine. Seeing himself there and the posted amount of credits for his intact form only serves to increase his confusion. He'd been so careful! How the hell had the slug managed to connect him with this!? Unless it wasn't about this? What the hell could the slug want? Or maybe Juce hadn't been so careful as he thought? Had he missed a camera? Did he fail to swipe the mouse droid? What!? Had someone been listening to the squad frequency maybe? Had someone dropped his name? His brother hadn't seen him, there was no way he could connect Juce with this with any certainty so, how?!

Muttering under his breath as his thoughts rage over the possibilities Juce suddenly looks up at Jeriko, the pilot, and stares hard at him.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

"Dust trails are three chasing us. Can you make this thing go any faster?" he says coldly.

"Oh, right! Lest I forget.." Juce mutters and rummages in his utility belt, drawing forth a long range detonator and brandishing it for Jeriko to see. "Wouldn't want the slug to get comfortable." he says, a grin practicly heard through the face plate of his newly-aquired armor as he presses down on the button, detonating the various explosives he placed along the vents he crawled through at the palace.

"Hah!" Juce barks a laugh at Jerikos's remark. "Let's hope it's my brother trying to get his speeder back, would serve 'im right, loose his ride and then get shot down in one go!" Excited by the idea the mandolorian shifts in his seat and takes a peek behind them, settling back down he fidgets a bit with his rifle before deciding it might be prident to strap in.

Juce will be riding shotgun.

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Juce just tilts his head at Jeriko's question but gives no answer, glancing back the way they came. Bringing his rifle swinging back Juce maintains his position for a moment before hesitantly settling back into his seat.

"Could'ave sworn I saw a dark-robed figure back there. Blinked my eye and it was gone." he mutters with a sigh, shaking his head to get the mirage out from under his skin.

Juce meets Jeriko's explanation with silence and gets in, grunts and huffs can be heard coming from behind his full-face helmet, growing louder as he straps in and eventually you realize that the noises coming from the mandolorian are laughter. Deep, loud and heartfelt laughter.

"Aaah.." he sighs. "You just made my day there twi-lek. You just stole my brothers landspeeder! Can this day get any better!? We blow a hole in Motta's castle and his cred score and then you go ahead and steal my BROTHERS SPEEDER!" slapping his knee Juce can't help but laugh and laugh.

Finding it much easier than he remembered to guide the jetpack, Juce is quick and smooth in his retrieval of Jerrn. Dumping him softly to the ground he glides over to the speeder and eyes in critically before getting in. "Where'd you get the speeder Jeriko? I know the design. It's mandolorian."

Grunting as the force grabs him and Jerrn manuvers him over the hole, Juce remains as calm as he can as much as he dislikes the invasion to his person by the jedi, muttering insults at Jedi's in general as he goes.

Reaching the ground Juce sees the farm boy fumbling down the piping and, when he reaches the point where the piping ends, he fires up the jetpack and heads back up to fetch him, relying on intuition and his natural dexterity to see him through.

Pilot (untrained) w. force point: 1d20 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (20) + 6 + (5) = 31

Daddy's ol' armor doesn't happen to have a jetpack does it?

Still around.

Juce is jumping out when the thing's course is set and it's gathered momentum.

Climb: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Seeing Desh bowl over the threatening gamorans Juce turns and makes for the gilded speeder, climbs on top of it, and crawl down it's top hatch.

Camris:
Once inside he makes his way to the divers seat and tries to jury-start it. Plan is to use a primed frag grenade (as I don't have explosives or a thermal detonator) to hold down the accelerator and steer it into the lift to go boom-boom.

Mechanics to start the speeder: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
Mechanics to rig explosion: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23

Ducking the first blow and beating back the second with a two-handed swing of his carbine Juce back-paddles away from the two gamorans as he can. Fishing out a stun grenade as he steps back he primes it and drops it at their feet.

Long time no use, the SWSE rules...
I want to 5' step out of reach and draw a grenade (a move?) and toss it (standard?) at the two guys trying to pommel me. Gotta re-read them rules.

Attack, grenade, + force point +1 more if point-blank shot applies: 1d20 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + (2) = 11, ich.., Stun Damage, +1 more id point blank shot applies: 4d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 2) + 3 = 16

Tonguing his helmet radio he sends a burst to the team; "We need to withdraw. Get these guys off me, I have a plan."

Camris:
PM.

Yup, yup. I'm seeing the updates. Have to admit I'm kinda swamped in pbp's, the lull made me look elsewhere, but I'm game as much as I can.

Juce fires at the two emerging from the mist.

Auto-fire, brace: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14, damage: 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3, 5) + 3 = 16

Juce steps of the podium and brings his carbine to his shoulder, bracing for the auto-fire, and pulls the trigger, spraying the closest-knit group of red, energy globes he can see.

Autofire, brace (+1 if point-blank): 1d20 + 7 - 6 ⇒ (7) + 7 - 6 = 8, Damage (+1 if point-blank): 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3, 4) + 3 = 11

Then he moves off further down the chamber to get a better angle. Heading north and then toward the group.

Nope. Maybe we should just do descriptive combat?

Juce switches his carbine to auto fire as things look to be escalating.

Juce mics to Six, Desh and Jerrn. "Guys, he'll die instantly if you put him there. That's a no go, repeat; No go."

knowledge technology DC 14: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
knowledge technology DC 20: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (15) + 16 = 31

Juce strains to remain still but the sight of Jeerns fate looming in the form of a human popsikle makes it hard for him. Looking 'round the insides of his helmet Juce scans for the built in radio.

'Nonononono... Don't put him in there!'

Do I need to power up or can I transmit via radio to the group?

I was thinking the same. Is that an insta-kill device or do we have a few moments to turn off the power?

Image is a bit small, I can't read the numbers though I can place myself, Motta and the rest of the group I can't read the yellow and red boxes.

I don't think there is a solid plan plan besides getting the armor and a load of credits. But I got a thought...

Let me clear something by the GM first.

Camris:
Would it be safe to assume that the guys would know Juce is in the chamber at this point?

Heads up, I'm going out of town this weekend and I highly doubt I'll have access to the interent from friday evening to sunday afternoon GMT.

Darth Camris:
So, what are the specks for the armor? Is it hiding any goodies, upgrades or hidden weapons? (If you could hear my voice right now you'd hear a very suggestive tone right now ;P)

Darth Camris:
Can I don the armor in that time? Juce is just wearing a blast vest and helmet.

I'm thinking of donning the armor and taking the mannequins place (if there is a mannequin) otherwise scramble and hide in the landspeeder.

Bump to assure myself that I'm still getting updates for this game.

10 climb check up, sorry for the delay. I honestly didn't know you were waiting on me, terribly sorry.

Climb 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Climb 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Climb 3: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Climb 4: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Climb 5: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Climb 6: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Climb 7: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Climb 8: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Climb 9: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Climb 10: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

? What ?

You're waiting for me? Wow, let me check the thread, last I knew I rolled a climb check and have been waiting since...

Keeping his cool Juce stays still for a moment to let the swinging pass and his heart settle down and then slowly and carefully makes his way back up the rope to get into position.

Climb: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

*Jumps up from sofa and runs out of the living room*

*takes a piss, groaning loudly*

*grabs a soda and shuffles ouside for a smoke*

*shudders as he comes back in from the rain, taking his coat of*

*settles back down in front of the screen with a soda and popcorn, waiting impatiently*

Commercials! Crap!

If I can take 10 on all those checks I pass them all, can I?

Oh ROFL! I love it!

Mechanics 1 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
Mechanics 2 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24

Juce stays his hand and moves off to get into postition.

Mordan Koran

"Steal it." Juce replies curtly after a moment of silence.

Didn't ger a dot update since Jerrns speech, sorry guys.

Juce utters the most profane curse he can think of at the sight of the mandolorian. Gazing at the screen for a moment he finally tunes into the group, "Yeah... umm... One of those mondolorians is my brother Kast, if you can call him a mandolorian that is. Don't know the other one, recommend haste."

Finishing his message he turns back to the computer screen, wondering what he should do by way of greeting his ambitious sibling. Making up his mind he starts tapping away at his screen.

Use Computer 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35
Juce will wreak any kind of havoc he possibly can for his brother, turn of the lights, lock doors, stop the lift, turn of it's lights and send it pummeling into the basement, stopping it just short of crashing. Anything.

Right, so no shooting the hutt! *wags finger at group*

;P

I figure Juce is on his way to the vault, Ocean 11 / mission impossible style, placing smoke bombs for creating confusion on the way out and placing some high yield explosives in the vault as a thank you and have a nice day.

Banis is masquerading as a waiter sorta like Lando did in Han's rescue, maybe he's on his way to aid Juce somehow to get the cash?

Maybe we're using farmboy to have the hutt send someone down to get the cash and that's Juce's way in?

Jeriko is lookout/getaway driver.

Desh and Six are the masquerading bounty hunters Leia/Chewbaca style, I guess when the shooting starts they'll have the drop on the goons with Jerrn as the hidden ace?

(Sorry if I'm giving myself the coolest role but that's the way I'm reading the situation so far. Please, throw me a curve ball.)

@Jeriko; I was actually contemplating weather to go dual pistols as well.

The pic I got his concept from.

[whine]But I really wanted to cause havoc in the throne room...[/whine]

Finishing with re-wireing the mouse droid and placing the detonator inside it, a hurried job Juce knows, 'Let's hope this works.' and closes it up again, places it on the vents behind him and sends it wirring off chirping happily. Watching it go Juce checks it's connection to his brace comp, satisfied he actually gives a small grin at the prospect of putting the thing under the hutts hoverchair.

'Back to business.' "Hear you. Checking." he replies to Jeriko's concern and pulls up the security feed, looking for the mandolorians.

Do I need a roll? I assume Juce is already hooked up remotely. 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

I forgot to check last night so depending on the answer I'll make Juce's action with the mouse droid.

Oh right! Destiny points! What does it do again in this situation? Allow a re-roll since I already rolled right? Don't have my books with me atm so I'm not sure, but Juce is definately burning one.
