About Captain Flint Conners

Cutting a dashing figure in his black leather duster, Captain Flint Conners strides across the bridge of his ship, sharp gray eyes that earned him his name glinting in the light of the massive stellar sails visible on each side of the main viewscreen. Born and bred in the Burning Archipelago, Conners had made the Loop run dozens of times, ferrying visitors and worshippers between each bubble city in sequence on his sunskimmer, the 'Flamedancer'. Okay, so he didn't really own the ship, but he has been assigned as its captain for the last 2 cycles by the Radiant Cathedral.

After washing out of the priesthood due to "an excess of shenanigans", Flint found his true calling in captaining ships of various types, eventually landing this choice gig. Of course, his strong connections to the Sarenite faith and the fact that he spoke the language of the envoys from the plane of fire were two credits in his favor. Still, he has tired of this glorified transport duty and yearns for something of greater significance--but a milk run to Absalom station in the ponderous 'Radiant Fire is unlikely to be his big break....or is it?

Radiant Cathedral Contact: Don Burns is the scheduler and manager of the church's small fleet of shuttle size transport ships used for quick inter-bubble transport, and as such is nominally Flint's boss. He is kind but fair, and wholly devoted to the church of the Burning Mother--and may even hope to bring Flint back into the fold as a priest someday, if he ever settles down long enough.
