Okay, Allied Offensive was already boosted guys. Given that Makon has arcana, I will count that as an arcana roll and pass it.

That is one reason my arcane casters take point-blank and precise shot feats straight off. -4 into melee and up to +4 AC for cover is huge, even with touch attacks.

That's fair - he's just not really built to be doing touch attacks as he continues leveling up. It's just something to do to contribute during combat at this point really.

Yeah, my sorc isn't either, and he is basically worthless in certain fights. "Oh, it has hardness? I'll go sit in a corner now." He's a debuffer, and some things (like constructs) are just sort of out of his wheelhouse.

It depends what spells you intend to cast. One of my sorcerers took those feats first but the second has no intention of shooting anything at anybody.

My wizard, on the other hand, has those feats, because he shoots all the rays and uses Hand of the Apprentice.

Hi! I was asked by the overseer to help out with your table, so I'll be covering for ScorchedOne.

While I'm here, I like to keep things moving but I do keep some weird hours, meaning I'm not available in my (GMT-6 (Mexico based, US Central) mornings. I'll poke my nose around here regularly from 12:30ish PM to 3ish AM, because I sleep from 4 to 10, but then wake up to do errands. (Told you they were weird hours)

Sincerest apologies all, I am positively swamped in both work and personal life. I plan to be able to resume proper posting on Monday, November 12th. Your patience is sincerely appreciated.

Also great thanks to GM Khaoz for filling in for me.

Grand Lodge

Don't you worry Scorch, I've got you =) (Hope you don't mind that I'm using my regular Round Timing instead of your method =$)

Grand Lodge

It's Boon rolling time!

Can each of you leave me a d20 roll here? =)

EDIT: Just realized I have info missing for your Chronicle Sheets, nothing too hard, but still, apologies for not noticing this sooner.

Womp womp. No GP spending; I'm saving up for a fancy sword. Out of curiosity, what (aside from the GP cost) would be required to get a mithral dueling sword? I thought I remembered there being a fame or level requirement for expensive items.

Like Andy said, it's all on the guide, but to make things easier...

To own an Aldori Dueling Sword you need one of the following books, Adventurer's Guide, Adventurer's Armory, Inner Sea World Guide or Pathfinder Campaign Setting.

PFS RPG Guide p.21 wrote:
All basic armor, gear, items, and weapons from Chapter 6 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook, including items for Small and Large characters. This does not include equipment made from dragonhide, but it does include equipment made from the other special materials, such as alchemical silver and cold iron (see the Special Materials section on page 154 of the Core Rulebook).

Mithral is a special material that's considered Always Available, so there are no fame hoops to jump through.

Just double checking with you guys, from what I can see you completed the Faction Missions for the Grand Lodge, Liberty's Edge, Silver Crusade, Sovereign Court and Scarab Sages. Am I missing one?

Now, I know you are asking...

Question from the players wrote:
@GM: Why do you need to know which Factions we worked with/for or not?
Thanks for asking mate. You see, it's a very simple answer, you get to pick Boons from these factions in your Chronicle Sheet! It's almost as if they owe you a favor =P
Question from the players wrote:
@GM: Whoah! Awesome! Can we get a list?

Yes! Yes , you can. I'll leave each of them behind a spoiler.

Tempest Guardian (Grand Lodge):
You led the Muckruckers to victory in reclaiming Fort Tempest, which also salvaged some of the fort’s besmirched reputation. The militia makes you an honorary Muckrucker, teaching you or a protégé some of their favorite tricks. You can check the box that precedes this boon when making a new Pathfinder Society character to grant your new character one of the following as a bonus trait: fast-talker, resilient, or suspicious. Alternatively, you can gain the trait.
Maestro of Manumission (Liberty’s Edge):
You oversaw the manumission of hundreds of Absalom’s slaves, which might mark the end of slavery in the city and recruit new talent to the Society. You can check this box when creating a new character to begin that character at 2nd level with 3 XP, 1,500 gp, and 6 Prestige Points.
Anointed Champion (Silver Crusade):
Scion Lady Xerashir of House Shamyyid has marked you a friend of the good-aligned planes, and you gain a +2 bonus on all skill checks while adventuring on such planes or when interacting with a creature with the good subtype. You can check the box that precedes this boon when expending Prestige Points for a spellcasting service to reduce the Prestige Point cost by 25% (rounding the discount up, minimum cost 1, a maximum discount of 35%).
Noble Heir (Sovereign Court):
You rallied several of Absalom’s noble houses, all of which distinguished themselves during the siege. All four are eager to recruit new talent into their hierarchy, and they have each invited you to become a lord or lady bearing their respective family name. Choose the al-Hadir, Arpador, Caperina, or Tullian family. You are a lord or lady of that family whose noble status is recognized in most realms. You also gain a signet ring and one bejeweled bauble for each character level you have. You can pry the gem out of a bauble to use in place of an expensive material component requiring gemstone dust, and each bauble’s gem is worth 100 gp.
Eldritch Artillerist (Scarab Sages):
You revived an ancient guardian construct that was able to channel arcane energy in a previously unseen way—and you parse how to replicate it. You can check the box that precedes this boon when building a new character to grant that character access to the spellslinger archetype from Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Combat as if it appeared on the Additional Resources page.
Question from the players wrote:
@GM: Okay... But I liked two of those, GIMME... I mean...

Each player gets to decide which two of those boons they'll get, I know, I know, it's a tough call they're all good. But two is the maximum you can get so...

Oh, I thought it was whatever faction missions all tables collectively succeeded at. We never got to the Dark Archives one (for example) because too many other tables succeeded at it first. Could you double-check that with Dennis?

GM Eyes Only:
I'm using a replay star for this scenario, and that was how the rules were explained to us when I played it before. It's also how a friend of mine who's running another table currently is interpreting the rules. Please please please double-check that before passing out chronicle sheets!

And I've never had a GM fill out this information for me before - just stuff that needed the GM initials (XP, PP, GP, and Day Job). Is this normal?

Oh my!

Well Lib Edge for sure. I've got a couple character ideas collecting dust so that will be very handy. The Sages one is also super tempting. I was in a game with some friends and one was a 4th level spellslinger. He was scary effective. But I like the Crusade boon as well. Hmmmm.

CHoices, choices!

Okay. I'm gonna go with Liberty's Edge and Scarab Sages.

Question: is the trait added by the Grand Lodge to a new character considered one of the 2 choices they get at 1L, or does it give the new character 3, one of which must be one of those 3?

As the house completed the Dark Archive and Exchange missions as well, you also have those options available to you when selecting your two rewards:

Wise Quarter Warden (Dark Archive):
Several librarians of the Forae Logos owe you their lives, and scholars across Absalom are willing to assist you. You gain a +2 bonus on all skill checks while adventuring in the Arcanamirium, Blakros Museum, and Forae Logos. While in a city of at least 5,000 people, you can check the box that precedes this boon to acquire one single-use magic item or wand worth no more than 100 gp × your level. You may acquire a partially charged wand with this boon. The item has a resale value of 0 gp.

The Coins Custodian (The Exchange):
You ensured that greed would not lay Absalom low in its time of need. While in a city of at least 5,000 people, you can check the box that precedes this boon to borrow any one magic item worth no more than 2,500 gp × your level for the duration of the adventure. The item cannot use charges or be otherwise expendable.

And I've never had a GM fill out this information for me before - just stuff that needed the GM initials (XP, PP, GP, and Day Job). Is this normal?

1) Yep, it's been clarified over at the GM Thread, so...

[EDIT: Ninja'd by Dennis] The other two boons are one post up.

2) About the GM handing out a fully filled Chronicle Sheet, on p. 16 we have:

Step 10:
Review the completed Chronicle sheet and skim over the player’s math. Ensure that the character has access to any items bought and that they paid the right prices. Verifying this information now helps prevent errors on future Chronicle sheets. Once you’re satisfied with the information on the Chronicle sheet, fill in the gray box at the bottom of the sheet and sign (W). For “Event,” write in the name of the event you are playing at—if this is a home game or in-store game, just write “home game” or the name of the store.
This means that all GMs should be handling out completely filled Chronicle Sheets. One way to achieve this is having the GM e-mail you the Chronicle Sheets so you can fill the sections marked A–E, G, J, K, and P (Player Name, Starting XP, Initial Fame, Initial Prestige, Starting GP, etc.; Step 1) and then you send it back when it's filled. I think it's easier on everyone if I ask for that stuff and fill it for you.

By the language of the boon, I'd say it'll make the new PC have a total of 3 traits, one of them needs to be fast-talker, resilient or suspicious.
