Makon Grimug |
did we find any loot on the bodies of the last encounter?
Kwan Zinshen |
Weren't we starting up again today?
Kwan Zinshen |
I'll be at a PFS convention today and tomorrow. I'll try to find time to check in, but I'm bad at online stuffs when I'm at those. Please don't wait to bot me if I'm late.
Andy Applebottom |
That is one reason my arcane casters take point-blank and precise shot feats straight off. -4 into melee and up to +4 AC for cover is huge, even with touch attacks.
Drelluandast |
That's fair - he's just not really built to be doing touch attacks as he continues leveling up. It's just something to do to contribute during combat at this point really.
Kwan Zinshen |
It depends what spells you intend to cast. One of my sorcerers took those feats first but the second has no intention of shooting anything at anybody.
Andy Applebottom |
Andy's skills are: bluff(+8); diplomacy(+8); knowledge(history)(+7); knowledge(local)(+8); knowledge(nature)(+8); knowledge(nobility)(+7); linguistics(+7); perception(+8); perform(sing)(+8); sense motive(+8); spellcraft(+7); UMD(+8)
Looks like I have many options. Everyone else choose and I will try and fill in the rest.
NOTE: Andy can use Bardic Knowledge:(+1/2 class level(min.+1) to all knowledge checks and can make untrained)(current total: +3)
GM Dennis |
Hey all,
I'm working on getting a backup in here until your GM returns. Should have someone shortly.
Kwan Zinshen |
I'm still watching.
GM Dennis |
Hold on folks. Once again working on getting you a backup.
GM Khaoz |
Hi! I was asked by the overseer to help out with your table, so I'll be covering for ScorchedOne.
While I'm here, I like to keep things moving but I do keep some weird hours, meaning I'm not available in my (GMT-6 (Mexico based, US Central) mornings. I'll poke my nose around here regularly from 12:30ish PM to 3ish AM, because I sleep from 4 to 10, but then wake up to do errands. (Told you they were weird hours)
GM Khaoz |
It's Boon rolling time!
Can each of you leave me a d20 roll here? =)
EDIT: Just realized I have info missing for your Chronicle Sheets, nothing too hard, but still, apologies for not noticing this sooner.
Can you also give me your PC's:

Are you spending Prestige? If yes, how much?

Womp womp. No GP spending; I'm saving up for a fancy sword. Out of curiosity, what (aside from the GP cost) would be required to get a mithral dueling sword? I thought I remembered there being a fame or level requirement for expensive items.

Like Andy said, it's all on the guide, but to make things easier...
To own an Aldori Dueling Sword you need one of the following books, Adventurer's Guide, Adventurer's Armory, Inner Sea World Guide or Pathfinder Campaign Setting.
All basic armor, gear, items, and weapons from Chapter 6 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook, including items for Small and Large characters. This does not include equipment made from dragonhide, but it does include equipment made from the other special materials, such as alchemical silver and cold iron (see the Special Materials section on page 154 of the Core Rulebook).
Mithral is a special material that's considered Always Available, so there are no fame hoops to jump through.
Caebricalius Melandrus |
Ah, groovy. I knew I needed to own the book (I have ISWG) but wasn't sure about the fame prerequisite. Thanks!
GM Khaoz |
Just double checking with you guys, from what I can see you completed the Faction Missions for the Grand Lodge, Liberty's Edge, Silver Crusade, Sovereign Court and Scarab Sages. Am I missing one?
Now, I know you are asking...
@GM: Why do you need to know which Factions we worked with/for or not? Thanks for asking mate. You see, it's a very simple answer, you get to pick Boons from these factions in your Chronicle Sheet! It's almost as if they owe you a favor =P
@GM: Whoah! Awesome! Can we get a list?
Yes! Yes , you can. I'll leave each of them behind a spoiler.
@GM: Okay... But I liked two of those,GIMME... I mean...
Each player gets to decide which two of those boons they'll get, I know, I know, it's a tough call they're all good. But two is the maximum you can get so...
Drelluandast |
Oh, I thought it was whatever faction missions all tables collectively succeeded at. We never got to the Dark Archives one (for example) because too many other tables succeeded at it first. Could you double-check that with Dennis?
And I've never had a GM fill out this information for me before - just stuff that needed the GM initials (XP, PP, GP, and Day Job). Is this normal?
Caebricalius Melandrus |
Oh my!
Well Lib Edge for sure. I've got a couple character ideas collecting dust so that will be very handy. The Sages one is also super tempting. I was in a game with some friends and one was a 4th level spellslinger. He was scary effective. But I like the Crusade boon as well. Hmmmm.
CHoices, choices!
Okay. I'm gonna go with Liberty's Edge and Scarab Sages.
Andy Applebottom |
Question: is the trait added by the Grand Lodge to a new character considered one of the 2 choices they get at 1L, or does it give the new character 3, one of which must be one of those 3?
GM Dennis |
As the house completed the Dark Archive and Exchange missions as well, you also have those options available to you when selecting your two rewards:

1) Yep, it's been clarified over at the GM Thread, so...
[EDIT: Ninja'd by Dennis] The other two boons are one post up.2) About the GM handing out a fully filled Chronicle Sheet, on p. 16 we have:

Question: is the trait added by the Grand Lodge to a new character considered one of the 2 choices they get at 1L, or does it give the new character 3, one of which must be one of those 3?
By the language of the boon, I'd say it'll make the new PC have a total of 3 traits, one of them needs to be fast-talker, resilient or suspicious.
Makon Grimug |
Boon roll: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Chronicle # 6 (the current mission assault on Absalom should be marked 6)
Starting XP 5
Initial Prestige 8
Initial Fame 10
Are you spending Prestige? If yes, how much? yes 2
Starting GP 1000gp and 8 silver
Are you spending Gold? If yes, how much? Yes; 1000 (cloak of resistance mentioned earlier on discussion page)
Reminder for my day job I rolled '20'
Don't really understand if we get these boons with the chronicle or for winning them via rolling for a boon. If we just choose for our chronicle I would choose the following 2:
Tempest Guardian
Maestro of Manumission
lastly I'll be spending my 2 PP points on a wand of cure lt wounds.
GM Uktar |
***Token #3***
