I just sent an email out to all my past We Be Goblins series players for the upcoming We Be Goblins 4, you guys know who you are - you get first crack at sign ups (aren't you glad I grabbed all those email addresses?)
I have opened four tables, any unclaimed space will be thrown out to general sign ups Monday my time.
Aww... I went to my email all excited and stuff. No mail for me... =/
Shifty wrote:GD 5 - coming soon :)Yes, I've also heard that it was coming! Soon!
What do we want? Gameday V!
When do we want it? Real soon!
Hear, hear! Although I've been hearing "soon" for so long it has lost all meaning. It's now a synonym for "sometime this year... probably".

Sign me up Shifty! It's the return of Reta!

It wont be long I am sure.
Looks like #8.00 is a multi-table, so here's hoping.
Once I know what the timings are around GDV I can plot another multi-table special... no reason we can't just keep things rolling for months.
List of multi's
S3 Blood under Absalom
S4 Race for the Runecarved Key
S5 Legacy of the Stonelords
S6 Siege of Serpents
S7 Sky key solution
It sounds VERY interesting. :)

Fine fine, I forgot that one. My bad.

Not my fault.
I went from "Hey guys...whaddyareckon" to "Recruitment open" in about a week.

To recruitment full (for GMs) in about 6 hours.

Aw. I'll share your wishes for a Happy Fathers Day to all those great dads too. Mine also left the material plane behind, 20 years ago.
I still miss him!

Could the responsible person please remove me from this campaign?
Would be appreciated.
You were already removed from the campaign on my end. If any of the threads are still showing up for you, you will need to hide the thread by hitting the crossed-out circle when you spot the threads listed in the forum. Let me know if you need help with that.

I am going to be running it once the five games I am running currently finish up. :)

![]() |

I was thinking about running it, but it will be after the summer. :)
Where I sign, Sir?

![]() |

Thank you for your trust, my dear Rimble, but signup will only open in August. ;)
No worry, I'm a patient gnome. :D
Until there, I'll take a time to me warm up, after the journey through the icy land of Irrisen.

![]() |

well first, thanks for helping make the pbp world go round, guys!
second, keep me in mind when those games finish up, GMEvil. any idea how soon that will be? got a gunslinger with an itchy trigger finger dying to level into mesmerist.
My game of First Steps is about to wrap up in a week or so, but my Trial by Machine has only just started, and my table of Silverhex Chronicles is about halfway through. Depending on party posting, it looks like maybe a month before they are done. I may just go ahead and start it once Shifty's multi table and the First Steps are done.
Is anyone else interested in playing through all the parts back to back?

![]() |

When I do, it will be in classic. I only have 1 core character, and it's tied up in a complete run through of Emerald Spire.
That being said, I intend on making a few core characters soon, so if demand is high enough, I will start running core tables as well.

Not exactly sure where to ask, but here goes. I'm a veteran PFS player, but with my job I'm finding more of the in-person games are on days I have to work. I've begun looking at PBP, but am unsure what I need to have ready before I join a group here. I have my character sheets and chronicles for all my PCs here in hard copy. Do need to put something together digitally before I can join a game?
Thanks for helping to clear it up for me.

Alton Underbough |

You'll need a "digital" form of your character sheet (NPC-style stat block is fine--see my PFS aliases for examples) and you don't need to scan your chronicles... Until a GM asks to see them. It may be more convenient to scan them ahead of time.
I like keeping all of my chronicle sheets and stat blocks together in a folder in evernote.

"Hello, Athos!" A pretty lady with a tiger comes up and shakes your hand. "My name is Zahra, and this is my baby, 'Pumpkin'. Ve are from Kat-a-pesh!"
___
I'm just posting with Zahra's alias so that you can see that you can click on her avatar. As you see, she's got a digital character sheet in her profile, and a header with the important information GMs need to know: saves, perception, initiative, hit points, AC, spells left...
There's a lot of different ways to configure headers, but it really helps to have one.
Hmm

Hmm evernote might not be bad, I have most of it in either dropbox or gmail drive :)

My friend and I are looking to get started with play-by-post. We are both relatively new with pathfinder in general. I was directed to ask here.
I'm glad you two did! Do you guys play PFS already?
This lodge is a great place to get started because new PbP PFS games start all the time. Many GMs have sign-up sheets for their upcoming games (above), or announce new games in recruitment and gameplay.
___
To everyone else:
We really need a mini-guide for newcomers on how to sign up for games on here. I checked out the campaign description page, but while it described what the different threads do, I think that as a newcomer I would still be confused about how to sign up for games.

I've played some of the Phantom Phenomenon Quests and watched some on YouTube. She has never played before. I've taught the rules to her and we're trying to get a group of our friends to play this summer, but our schedules haven't lined up yet.

Welcome to the community :-). I've never known someone whose first introduction to the game was a PbP format-- it would certainly help with some of the problems new players often face (like feeling like they're slowing everyone down), but might have its own challenges (like not having people with them to explain specific situations). If either of you have ever done any online roleplaying, like in forums or chat rooms, you'll have a leg up.

To get ready for PbP for Pathfinder Society you will first need to do a few things. First register a legal Pathfinder Society Character by:
Account and Character Creation
- From the Homepage click on Pathfinder Society in the top left corner.
- Scroll down about halfway through the page you will find a link called My Pathfinder Society Page. (You will need to create an account)
- Just above the characters you will find your PFS # which you will need. Create a legal character and input all of the required fields. Example (LINK)
This should create a character or Alias that you can use for PFS PbP Play. For the PFS Guide to Organized play please refer to here on guidelines for legal characters:
PFS Guide and Legality Resources
Here are a few additional guides that will help your roleplaying experience within PFS. Painlord's page is the first link and below are a few key ones:
Additional Guides.
Looking for a game
- Make a post or just dot in the Gameplay thread on this forum tab at the top of the page. This will add the forum to your campaign tab.
- Watch for new posts in the Campaign tab by clicking on your name at the top center of the page. (Here you will find all of your PFS Alias and Campaigns.
- Click on the Campaign tab to easily find all of your games.
- Occasionally GM's will post in the Gameplay and Recruitment tab to recruit for games and will link their sign up sheet.
- Sign up on their excel sign up sheet and watch for another post telling you to report for the game. The GM will provide a link to the gameplay thread of the game. (Which will now be found on your Campaign tab once you check in)
I think that about covers everything. If have anymore questions just ask.

GM Hmm |

Very nicely done. Is there any way to get this post linked to from the main campaign tab?
Hmm

I posted this in the Rules forum but only got one response, and I figured some of you experienced players and GMs here would know the answer (as it's for PFS).
I'm thinking of getting a Poet's Cloak for my PFS Skald.
Even after cleaning and mending, this traveler's cloak appears worn and weathered. For wearers with the bardic performance class feature, it grants the use of raging song as a 4th-level skald by spending rounds of bardic performance. For wearers with the raging song class feature, it grants the use of inspire courage and inspire competence as a 4th-level bard by spending rounds of raging song.
In addition, each poet's cloak allows its wearer to grant one specific rage power when using raging song in place of his own rage powers (if any). The specific rage power varies by cloak. It must be usable by a 4th-level skald, and can't have any prerequisites other than level.
A skald can only have one type of totem rage power, and I currently have Lesser Spirit Totem. Could I get a Poet's Cloak that grant's Lesser Celestial Totem? I figure it's allowed because it's the cloak that's granting it, I'm not learning a second one. Secondly, in PFS, if I buy a Poet's Cloak, do I get to choose the rage power that it grants?
Thanks!

Year of the Shadow Lodge is going well from what I can see, and I think I have the hang of it all. I am happy to continue on running Multi's, and I am reliably informed that Blood under Absalom is the S3 Multi, and is apparently ok - I assume that it will thus be the next one up.
I don't have a timeframe at this stage, as the upcoming Game Day will (I would suspect) have its own multi, and aside from that it tends to have a big footprint in the game space. I am away for a few weeks in September (until early Oct) so I'm either going to have to launch no later than 01 Aug, or around 11 Oct. Fun fun.

So.. no clues about when the next PBP gameday is going to be?
I have clues from informal conversations, but other than that I'm in the same happy boat as everyone else.
will be a bunch of folks at a rather significant state-side convention on or around August 1st in Indianapolis called 'Gen Con'. That may or may not have an on-line impact...
Yeah that would suck a little, but I can only play the cards I got :p
Fortunately the rest of the World NOT at Gen Con should be able to pony up enough tables to run an event. Even here in Sydney I have (somehow) managed to cobble up nine tables for a Sunday arvo multi-table, so miracles abound.
My Evil Overlords send me to the outback for a few weeks, then to the Outback I go - and without lifes essentials like 'the internet'... hence I need to either be finished early-mid Sep, or push to October, or do both.

Yeah of the Shadow was a favorite of mine, if you do a multi table please let me know, I have a few characters of various ranges up and ready.
