As the team buffs themselves, something totally unexpected happens.
The sound of pulleys can be heard, as the 'hand' of the crane starts moving, 1d3 ⇒ 1, towards Father Burdock. It comes down and tries to grab the stout dwarf.
It's one that has a 'finger' at NESW.
Grapple?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19, Father Burdock is grappled by the metal hand. The hands closing to grip cause him to be lifted 5ft into the air.

Grint moves towards the barrels and tries to climb up on them for a better view.

Double movement to get up the barrel. Can't ready an action to shoot so here is hope to a better view.

They're almost 2 metres high? Those are big barrels, usually those barrels are about 3 feet. How about those crates to the bottom-right of Sivar? Should I roll Climb checks instead?

A medium barrel would be, but these are big (large sized).

Climb: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 6 - 2 = 211d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 6 - 2 = 20 Should be a DC 15 check, pulling myself while dangling by my hands is the closest I get. also in terms of movement it should work, basically every 5 feet is 20 feet while attempting to climb. In this case, pulling myself up is 20 feet.

DC 15 is more appropriate for that GM as one as tall as Grint could easily reach up and pull himself up. Nevertheless you're right about the sheathing of my weapon. Might I keep my rolls for a next round spent in Climbing? I'll sheath my weapon and move behind the barrels for this round.

As Sivar circles around the large barrels, a snap from a mouth lunges at him, before disappearing.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10Dmg+Disease: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
The bite misses him however. Poor accuracy.
No wonder they hide, such a miss is a cause for ridicule ;)

I don't really know whats going on... There doesn't seem to be any enemies visible. So I'll just roll an attack roll and a will save and let the GM decide what happens

While Father Burdock tries to get himself free, the metal crane moves 15 feet up, bringing him close to the ceiling. Moving north, it suddenly stops after 5 ft, right above Thorn.
The hand springs open, causing Father Burdock to fall down.
2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5 Thorn can make a DC 15 Reflex to halve the dmg and remain standing, or he is prone from impact, like Father Burdock from falling onto him.
