Game of Thrones:
It was an ok display of how the book wrote it. The fight was longer and took much more time for the prince to actually wear the mountain down, and also the mountain was supposed to crush his head with punches instead of by squeezing, but all in all it got the general point across.

I'm not as much of hard ass with artistic licensing, especially with the time limitations. I actually hope they keep Daenerys Targaryen character strong. I hated how Martin made her weak by locking up her dragons and the courtship. Like a man was needed for her to rule properly. A terrible aspect of that story line.

That's one thing I love about GoT. So many fantasy books have the "magic is dying and that issad" angle. GoT is more "magic is coming back AND IT IS TERRIFYING"

I am also a huge fan of GoT, in fact reading the books again. My favorite part is, that very few people are black and white. Yes goldilocks is a cruel son of a w., and viserys crown is not undeserved, everyone has an agenda and is able to do horrible things. And you never know, when, and if someone will die.

Welcome Felicitas.

Pop on over to the Campaign Info thread and take a look under the spoilers. I try to keep the info or FAQ over there. You will find an Settlements and Establishment spoiler which contains info and maps about Fentonville a town that I created for this game.

Grung is still relatively new to this game, but the others have been pretty long term. Kalim and Karnog are original players. To-date (the last 15 months) the group has explored various wilderness areas surrounding RA. They just concluded exploring an area known as Daarog's Lair, which was group of brutal orcs. They have arrived back in Fentonville to resupply and report back to Walter Featherton, their employer.

Walter Featherton, is a gnome, who is the mayor of the town; he also owns Featherton's Guides - Cartographer shop, guides and merchant. This is where the group first came to be by answering a solicitation for cartographers and to put down some ruffian troubles that has been bad for business.

Fentonville is a small town that lies directly on the northern trade route in Nirmathas, so it has above average wealth when shopping for goods. Several key locations have been labeled on the map.

Currently the group is in Varl's Edge and blacksmith shop selling a few items and shooting the breeze with two former members of the adventuring group. The group is known as the "Short Swords" since they were nearly all haflings or dwarfs when it was first formed.

The three main places the group congregates at is at Varl's, Featherton's Guides, or the Sly Wink Tavern. You can be anywhere you choose and I'm fine roleplaying some introductions and NPC interactions.
