Jules opens her eys and looks at Tywin.
"Thanks, I am so sore. He hit hard!"
she says as she slowly gets up. Jules removes her back pack and searches around for awhile.
"Here it is!" she exclaims as she pulls out a wand.
"Please use this on anyone who needs it. It should help with any healing we need"
Cure light wounds wand
"Liriel, thanks for the timly healing!"
Liriel Mistbourne |
"I saw!" she gasps, hugging her tightly "Thank the winds I could get to you in time! You almost died!"
And the GM! Thanks again =^^=

Ryuchi |
I'm on holidays and will be a bit slow the next week so please bot as needed. Ryuchi is at 7/10. A wand charge would be very appreciated.
Ryuchi still has a bleeding wound where the hobgoblin's arrow struck but tries not to make anything of it.
Jules Stonecutter |
"Have you searched the Hobgoblin room yet?"
Jules will carefully search their room for clues about what happened here.
After Jules has searched the room she begins to head towards the south.
I believe we have opened all the doors in this area but the northern most door and the southern most door. Please correct me if I am wrong.
It seems like we have two choices the north door or the south door. I guess we could also go back into the main room if you wish. This south door seems like a place to start."
Revvy Bitterleaf |
Yes, you had cleared this area (other then the secret room)
Jules is unable to find any clues in the previously hidden room.
You then head south to explore the cathedral further and finds out it leads through a narrow corridor
Either it's a stupid corridor that leads to a staircase going nowhere..or they forgot a door..I'll just assume they forgot a door
Searching the door and finding out it's neither trapped nor locked you enter what turns out to be the east tower.
The lowest level (area 6a) has a thick wooden door leading to the choir loft (area 5).
It is a storage area, containing crates of supplies and equipment for the lodge.
The middle level (area 6b) contains a laboratory, filled with large glass chambers, tubes, benches, and a number of weather experiments.
The tower’s interior has three levels, all connected by a narrow wooden staircase snaking up the tower’s north side (the ground floor is no longer accessible, sealed off when it was incorporated into the library). The uppermost level (area 6c) contains an office, with an enormous oak desk littered with papers and logbooks. A nearby table contains a stack of books detailing magical theories of weather.
A trapdoor leads to the roof, but it's locked.
After searching the place you don't come across anything interesting.
(What do you want to do now?)
Jules Stonecutter |
"hmm a locked door. Locked doors always get me curious. Before I forget, Liriel could you please use the wand on Ryuchi? Thanks'
Jules takes out her lock picks and begins to work on the door. when the door is open she peeks out of the trap door to see if it is hiding anything interesting.
Liriel Mistbourne |
I will do so. Still, I'm so glad you're okay! she gives her a smile then taps the monk over the head

it looks like we have not opened the door in the north
"Liriel, you have no idea how grateful I am to be alive. Thank you!
Jule turns around and head up the corridor in the other direction.
"I think we havent looked behind the door to the north. Shall we see what is behind that?"
Sora Dawntide |
Sora nods, following, until she trips and winces. "Mind if I ask for a little bit of that healing?"
She comes up, and would cast resistance on Jules when she gets ready to open the door.
Liriel Mistbourne |
Liriel smiles she jumps up next to her and taps her on the shoulder
"I dub thee... healed!"

You are in the Southeast tower at the moment, your options are to go out the door to the west -> Area 5, or move back to the quarters you came from and take the door to the north there, which as Jules pointed out you haven't opened yet. the door to your west might be closer. Up to you as to where you want to go though
Jules Stonecutter |
Jules looks around.
"Do you guys want to go through this door here or back north?"
Ryuchi Liriel already healed you. You should be at full now.
Graxus |
Graxus sniffs at the western door. Maybe he hears something from behind the door.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
He doesn't have scent so it's just a normal perception
Revvy Bitterleaf |
After going through the door to the west you find yourselves:
At the southern end of the congregation hall, an ornate choir loft sits twenty feet above the ground, joined to the narrow balcony encircling the nave and dome. The richly decorated wall panels depict scenes of strangely dressed men, while the low marble balustrade shows human figures celebrating. Many of these scenes have suffered recent damage, with stone shards and a broken bannister littering the floor. Several smashed glass cases line the room, numerous swords of widely varying styles and construction poking out of them.
Along the Cathedral’s south wall, a ten-foot-wide rose window glitters with the sun, bathing the loft in light. A number of red figures surround a strange white shape against the window’s blue background.
A spiral staircase leads down and a pair of doors lead east and west.
You suspect that the scene should depict the raising of the Starstone, but the figures’ hands are positioned in such a way that they appear to be lowering the artifact instead of raising it.

Sora looks oddly at the chamber. This place..., this is supposed to show the raising of the StarStone I believe. But..., the hands, the places..., the statues are all wrong. It is like..., some one has changed them to show it going back down."
Graxus |

luckieeeee
"Careful mortals. It looks to be riddled with cracks. Don't let it fall on you and alert our foes to our presence."
Revvy Bitterleaf |
When Sora points out that there's something wrong with the window you all suddenly notice that the window starts to curve inward as certain angles on it's own and forms a roughly humanoid shape
And doesn't get a surprise round

"Here we go again."
since I have my swords out and would only have time to switch them, I will ready an action
Jules readies herself to attack what ever this creature is when it come in reach.
Rapier: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 - 2 = 11
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Sora Dawntide |
Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Only Knowledge she has that might apply. Unless history counts. Planes would be +10, but don't think that it does.
Sora sidles up behind Jules, readying another freezing ray.
Freezing Ray vs Touch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Graxus |
Graxus and Tywin look up and ready their attacks for it when they can reach it.
bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
lance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
dmg: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
both will fail miserably unless they also get an aoo if it has to get within 5 ft of them.
Revvy Bitterleaf |
Knowledge Arcane seems to be the skill you need for constructs. I also just noticed that Sora rolled knowledge nobility when looking at the window instead of history ..but since she has both skill that doesn't matter
Sora remembers something about this sort of thing..it's a construct. It's hard to damage (hardness 5) and it has some slam attacks.
sora then fires a ray of cold at the moving window but misses.
Graxus and Tywin ready to attack the thing if it comes close (roll for AAO as well, there's a pretty decent chance it will provoke from you when it's turn comes up)

(I've moved Liriel next to Ryuchi on the map, because otherwise the guidance can't be cast)
Liriel kisses Ryuchi for good luck right before the animated window steps down from the ledge it's standing on and hurls itself down on top of Tywin, all sharp edges and angles pointing downwards
Waiting for the window Jules is unable to get to it, and Tywin and Graxus are unable to get a hit in with their first try..but are able to take another swing at it as it falls past hitting it. All though Graxus his attack doesn't even seem to scratch the glass the window is composed off. Tywin's lance is able to cause a small shard of glass to break off. Ryuchi how ever isn't able to react quickly enough (Both attacks miss AC, guidance wouldn't have made a difference)
To hit Tywin's touch AC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
to confirm vs Tywin's touch AC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
As the animated window lands it's body is covered with a bit of Tywin's blood as it sliced through him on it's way down. It's legs dent the floor it lands on hard..but no fractures can be seen running through it's body from the impact.

Revvy Bitterleaf |
Liriel goes full defensive trying to protect herself.
Jules just barely manages to tumble past the window without getting an attack from sharp crystal like fist slammed into her back but as she reaches the window's other side is unable to hit it hard enough to deal it any sort of damage (doesn't hit AC)
Sora shoots a ray of frost, way, way over the creatures head.

Revvy Bitterleaf |
Ryuchi is able to kick a small shard of the window while Tywin and Graxus combined hit more..but deal less damage.
The window tries to bring both of it's arms down on top of Tywin almost as if focusing on one target at a time
Slam 1 vs Tywin: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Slam 2 vs Tywin: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
but both attacks are easily deflected by what ever armor Tywin is wearing
Sora went before her turn so I'll just add her in now
Sora then aims another bolt of cold at the window now hitting it and it causes some nice ice flowers to form on the glass..but doesn't seem to do anything else.
As far as I can tell..hardness isn't ignored by cold spells
