Welcome all, Pathfinders, to the most important event of the year. The Grand Lodge's yearly Grand Convocation. As with each year, we commemorate new discoveries from recent yearsa and celebrate noteworthy achievements. Field agent from all over Golarion travel here to meet old friends, share information and hob-nob with the Venture Captains.
So many path finders here, so many of them gathered - the Grand Lodge is right now a complete who-is-who of Society Agents. Lady Glorianna Morilla is talking to a young Paladin holding a rose, Zarta Dralneen can be seen talking to a duo of very similar-looking female Half-Orcs. A northerner, still packed in a furry coat, is talking to a glacial beauty, completely infatuated with her (better not disturb them), while a man completely clad in amor walks by claiming to be a God-Emperor, risen from the dead. In another group, a huge taldan pirate is SHOUTING at a somewhat silent, scruffy looking man with a peg-leg. All fell into the dink, the man shouts it was the most pathetic pirate raid ever, but what do you want with those pipsqueaks.
Welcome to the Season 6 Grand Final Special. The official game doesn't start until November fifth, but it does feature an introductory part in which we can mess around a bit.
Please, have a seat and introduce your characters - insofar as they need any intro.

Who has the special boon suited for this game? Grimaldus. Who is in the other game? Yep, so it's Rhanloi who gets the invitation. =)
The pale elven man stands slightly apart from any group of Pathfinders, silently watching the affair with a certain detached air about him. Hailing from the frozen arctic wastes far to the north, he is still not used to such large gatherings of living things, nor is he comfortable with the noise they produce.
Still, he is a Pathfinder and has more of the world than anyone in his clan before. When Rhanloi spots a familiar face, he will walk over and shake their hand in the traditional greeting, and ask about their latest mission...silently thanking them for throwing him a life-line in this turbulent sea of people.

![]() |

The three foot tall halfling dressed in traditional Keleshite robes of the desert dervishes with shiny chainshirt and two small scimitars strapped crosswise peaking over her shoulders, stands on her tip toes trying to get a better view lost in a sea of big folk sized pathfinders.
Spotting a pale northern elf she recognizes, Marra quietly moves behind him before speaking suddenly "Rhanloi! I see their stadards for this shindig is pretty low if they invited you an me. Have you ever seen more pathfinders in one place in your life?" Marra finds some bench or bolder to climb atop to get a sweeping view of the grounds.

![]() |

Another halfling makes his way through the crowd. He looks a bit more martial than some of the others wandering around the grounds; he carries a bow, and has a quiver full of arrows strapped to his back, as well as an assortment of flasks in dual bandoliers across his chest. He mostly keeps to himself, though he does attempt to surround himself with those he knows from prior missions; seeing some comrades he recognizes, he approaches them. "Hello, there. Quite the crowd."
He notes the Taldan's comments, and his countenance darkens slightly, but he does not attempt to respond; all that would accomplish is confirming whatever prejudices the man already held.

![]() |

Scarlet roams through the crowd performing tricks, sleights, the occasional acrobatic flip and acts of minor legerdemaine. Outfitted as usual in a simple catsuit and carrying a crossbow for her more daring stage performances.
Following beside her is an elf in miniature - a small 2' tall fey creature dressed for adventure in a fine leather jerkin, but equally carrying a child sized crossbow, too big for it, but beautifully made.
It has very pleasant little features, and seems to be joining Scarlet in all sorts of mischief. A large black and white spotted dog follows along barking playfully, a miniature trick riding saddle on its back.
"Performances tonight, acrobatic displays, magic, derring-do! Scarlet and Poppy with Rusty the Wonderdog!" the Brownie calls.
Scarlet leads her travelling circus to her previous adventuring companions.
"Looks like a rather curious crowd, should be good for business though!"

![]() |

As the start of this scenario, Scarlet will purchase a Belt of Incredible Dexterity (+2) using her Entrepreneur faction bonus and her Master of Trade vanity - I have to specify now as it precludes me being able to use those at the end during Day-Job phase.
In short, the rusted on Sczarni has learnt from the Qadirans how to cut a nice deal, fencing all the way to a combine 15% bonus. Yep, this merger ain't too bad for a gal on the rise...
Well on the way to being the Boss of her own Thieves Guild. They need a bit more Roguish vanity
Also, on my Faction sheet I am specifically looking for a 'Named NPC merchant, trader, smuggler, or similar figure... we need to get them to 'cooperate with the Exchange'... caipce?"

![]() |

A shock of leaf-green hair bobs through the crowd, atop a brown-skinned gnome wearing a garishly bright red scarf and an expression of wonder as he takes in the sight of so many people of different species, colours, shapes and sizes. Suddenly his attention is drawn to a brownie - a fellow fey being! - trailing behind a gambolling tiefling woman, and, intrigued, tries to follow them, only to run into - almost literally - a pair of halflings that he recognises from one of his earliest missions for the Society. "Marra! Boram! Fancy seeing you here! Isn't this amazing?" he babbles excitedly. "Oh! And hello Rhanloi," he adds, after looking up to notice the taller elf.
Turning to the brownie, he introduces himself with a bow. "Pleased to meet you, I'm Cacumattus, explorer and adventurer, at your service! And you are? Is this your faithful mount? He's adorable! And you have a tiefling companion, very impressive. Where in the Inner Sea did you find her?"

![]() |

"COUSIN!" the Brownie exclaims excitedly in Gnomish at the arrival of Cacumattus.
"I am Poppy, this is Rusty the Wonderdog, and that biggun is Scarlet and we are a travelling troupe! Like all carnivals one has to wonder where we all met really, probably just like minds coming together, we really do have jolly good adventures and we have been roaming here and there, well we met just outside of some strange town with a clock in it when Scarlet was walking Rusty, I think she got Rusty from some rangers who we weren't so sure about, well we were less sure about theother locals but that is a different story, anyhow we met and... I think you call the place Uringen? Yes that could be it, but anyhow wandering ever since... we're a carnival in miniature!" The Brownie smiles broadly.

![]() |

Rhanloi actually laughs at the exuberance displayed by Poppy and Cacumattus. He leans over to pet Rusty, saying, "Hello, Rusty - it's good to see you again. Your brother is doing well, but I wanted to leave him at home tonight."
Turning to Scarlet, he says, "I have not been trained enough to handle Jetta out in a crowd such as this - it's wonderful what you've been able to teach Rusty!"

![]() |

"The joys of growing up in a circus I suppose, you get a good sense of how to work with the animals, train them, and handle them - except for when you are a cat and the patrons confuse you for one of the exhibits..." Scarlet smiles "Besides being a part of our show, Rusty can also act as a trusty mount for Poppy, and carries a few of the supplies - theres some rope and a potion of healing in the saddle bags, as well as some spare food - never know when that dog might save a life"
The dog seems happy enough.
Poppy starts doing handstands on his back.

![]() |

Rasamoro enters a hall, and spends a moment looking around for someone known to him. After he spots some faces he started moving to join Scarlet and others. He was wearing freshly cleaned outfit and polished chain shirt.
Dotted. I don't feel well. Need For Sleep. I will expand it tomorrow

DM Kludde |

What a festive atmosphere! Even though the group is early, there are already more than enough visitors to the grand lodge to give the place nice busy feeling.
All over the grounds, little contests are set up. Near the statue of Dervin Gest a storytelling contest is being set up - a familiar face, Janira Gavix, is already impatiently waiting for it to start. Further up near the training ground, an obstacle course is being set up.
There's some talk of a crime-solving contest in a lecture hall in one of the eastern outbuilding, and there's animal taming, trap mastery, weigh lifting, a lore symposium...

![]() |

Rhanloi, Marra! Rasamoro greet his friends, haven't seen you for ages! Thank you for your help, wizard friend, those spells I copied from your spell book was totally handy. I used them a lot to help me in my mission in Kaava Lands. Marra, I almost understand, how you do your trick with a scimitar, but it's a bit tricky to do it with katana
He turned around and noticed Boram and Scarlet,
Oh, nice to meet you guys as well! Probably, this two are only friends of yours I haven't been introduced he points at Cacumattus and Poppy.
As per single achievement on Faction Journal card, I can buy a scroll with one spell with 20% discount. I will use that to buy scroll of Haste for 300 gp

![]() |

"Oh Scarlet is my biggun companion, she takes me everywhere now, we are best friends and occasionally she leads me into mischief, not that I mind mischief, it's just that what do you do when one hand rubs the other but both are naughty hands? Well at least we have a little circus of our own, which is fun, but sometimes its more fun to be a little bit of a tricsky pixie and get up to hijinks - even if you are a Brownie - but who's judging am I right? anyhow that there is my Cousin Cacummatus - well not a direct cousin of course, unless aunt Carraway had a little moment she might need to explain to the rest of the family involving too much brandywine and a wandering elf, but more like a distant cousin - but us Feylings are all related yeah so it all makes sense. Anyhow thats Rusty the Wonderdog too, good to have a man around at times. It looks like theres some events? Obstacles can be fun, but the longlegs all run too fast, perhaps we can go play with some traps?"

![]() |

Scarlet just lets Poppy finish the introduction patiently with a smirk, clearly the two are well matched. The cat grins her familiar smile "Story telling, Obstacles, and Traps - this looks like a good event. No performance spaces though? Poppy and I might also look at the animal taming, but who would want to try tame us"?" Scarlet snickers to herself.
"A dog, a cat, and an overgrown rat" she points jovially at Poppy.

![]() |

Rhanloi smiles easily at their banter - he was in a good mood and among good friends. Although the elf did not like large crowds, now he had a small group to be in - that made the rest of the crowd seem less daunting.
He follows the others to cheer them on in their contests, but at some point he wanders to the lore symposium, ever in pursuit of more useless bits of information!

![]() |

Marra smiles as well having meetup with so many friends, " Rasamoro, It's been too long since we have adventured! I fancy a few stories of our pathfinder missions would make a excellent tale for the story telling."

DM Kludde |

These are various competitions you can partake in.
Everyone can try multiple competitions, but you do have to do them one at a time.
---
Rhanloi
---
This is not so much a competition as an open discussion on bit of lore and knowledge. Some grey-bearded man in blue robes in currently talking about essence of time, a liquid that holds the very nature of the flow of time. Perhaps Rhanloi has something to contribute?
Linguistics or any Knowledge check
---
Marra
---
Near the temporary structures west of the front gates, a large “talking circle” has been marked out on the grounds. There is limited seating but plenty of comfortable spots on the lawn. Pathfinders compete to tell the best story. Complete accuracy is optional if the tale is funny or entertaining enough. Experienced Pathfinders are expected to have grander tales. Music or dance is just as welcome if incorporated in the narrative. Janira Gavix is just finishing a very convincing story about Selmius Foster and his fabled race against a marid and an efreeti.
To tell your own story, I'll need a Bluff or Any Perform check
---
Options for Scarlet
---
An obstacle course designed to test agility is set up near the
training grounds, where Pathfinders compete in a timed trial to be the quickest one through the course. A large chalkboard lists the best times and participants.
Acrobatics or Dexterity
Staged at the menagerie and training area on the grounds, an adventurer can demonstrate her skill at handling and taming unusual creatures from all over the Inner Sea. The more experienced the agents, the more exotic the beats.
Handle animal, wild empathy or intimidate
The trap spotting competition is staged within a spare room of the Mausoleum. Tables are laden with boxes, chests, cutaway sections of door handles, empty sarcophagi, and other common places where traps are concealed. Pathfinders know a trap is present and must disarm it with a time limit. Alternatively, agents can also create or modify a trap to confound their comrades for credit. All of the traps are nonlethal.
Disable or Craft (traps)

![]() |

Sounds awesome, but if it slike We Be Goblins it can get out of hand :p Can Poppy as a Familiar participate in her own right, or is it 'legit Pathfinder Agents only' :p
Just thinking if we need to spread it out and get some wins for our group or something...and whether more wins = unlocks, like in WBG 1-3

Knowledge (arcane): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
- Oh, let me try. I remember the lesson you taught me in Segang jungle, - Rasamoro enters a wizards circle and after gray-bearded man stops, he try to complete his view on time essence nature, bringing up old Tian mithology. Other people of the circle start waiving at him:
- Boo! This position is not proven! We need to hear the facts. You find your friends at story-telling group! they say.
Ok, I'll better try Acrobatics now

![]() |

Scarlet can't move away from acrobatic and aerial displays - whats a cat burglar...err...circus acrobat to do?
Acrobatics 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
"Such fun, not as tricky as coming off a rooftop and in an open window though - it isn't even raining!" Scarlet seems to be in her element.

Poppy watches on "Hey no fair, who's the referee? Can I play too or are we only letting some people have a go here? I have my own tools and everything!" Poppy eyes off the traps "Scarlet says tiny fingers on little hands are a blessing when it comes to fine and delicate work, what would she know with those great big paws? Oh right she watched me, oh well... makes sense then... so where were we? Oh yes! Can I have a go?"
Her eyes move over the traps, her tools snap away at the ready.
"Otherwise, what animals need playing with?"

Boram makes his way to the trap-spotting area. He downs several extracts and potions - spitting one back into its container - and does his best to impress.

Nonsense! Boo! Rasamoro is unconvincing presenting his argument, and fails to make a lasting impression on his fellow pathfinders...

Scarlet

A marble rolls down a spiral to keep time, as Scarlet moves across the obstacle course almost as if it isn't there, making it to the other before the fifth marble reaches halfway.
A new best time! Incredible! a lanky elven woman, carrying an ungodly amount knives around, exclaims.

Boram notices a nasty magical trap in a cupboard, probably set to play some prank of a hapless pathfinder. He disarm it with ease, not even flinching once as he works his toolset.

After his run, his fellow pathfinder praise Boram for his skill, and in the ensuing conversation he picks that the Decemvirate has spared no expense on this year’s Grand Convocation and has reached out to as many Pathfinders as possible and underwritten some costs when necessary. This is an effort to demonstrate their appreciation to field agents, repair any frayed relationships, and celebrate a successful year.

After spending a few more minutes chatting with his new friends, Cacumattus accompanies Rhanloi and Rasamoro towards the lore symposium, and tries to follow up on some of the latter's ideas with some arcane magical knowledge of his own.
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
His presentation seems better received, and he departs with a bow, and a lightly abashed look towards Rasamoro for showing him up.
Wondering what activity to approach next, he finds himself passing the eastern building where pathfinders are discussing the finer points of criminal investigation, and intrigued by the notion, which he has never before thought about, he saunters over to listen in, and maybe try his luck.

Kn(Arcana): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Rhanloi recounts his experiences in Uringen and the clock tower there. He describes their discussion with Henbane about how time does not pass, but how the world flows under it. Rhanloi tells the group that time flows, and how they found the tap in Uringen and actually collected some temporal essence. Time does not wait, nor can it be captured, anywhere except there.

After Rasamoro's efforts, Cacumattus tries to add to the discussion. With some well-timed questions and a sharp rebuttal following a lazy answer, Cacumattus is soon the focus of the discussion. Rhanloi then joins in with some sharp observations about temporal essence and the nature of time itself.

Cacumattus and Rhanloi pick up some of the latest gossip:
The Society’s success at Nerosyan and more recently at the sky citadel Jormurdun has captured the imaginations of a new crop of Pathfinders, who see the Society as a potential force for good as well as scholarship. The halls of the Quadrangle have not been so full in many years.

Marra has to try her hand at the obstacle course after Scarlets and Rasamoro go. The small halfling limbers up before her run.
The start flag is dropped as the first marble starts to roll down a spiral of the time keep, Marra is off in a flash weaving through the vertical poles, then rolls over and under the high low bars and bends in ways that only a Dawnflower dancer can through as she flies through the contortion course. After the two minutes, the blindfold is put on again, and he is led out of the room. The judges ask him to describe everything he saw, and he does so with meticulous detail: the bloodstains on the floor, the hairs on the desk, the smudges on the mirror - he has spotted them all.

Celebrating a bit, she picks up a rumour from the crowd. A Foreign Quarter councilman, Lord Omrys of House Ahnkamen, has registered some concern about the Grand Convocation with Absalom’s Grand Council. Lord Omrys feels that the Pathfinder Society is a “weirdness magnet” that brings more trouble to the city than good. He fears that a “Pathfinder Convention” is only going to exacerbate and concentrate the mischief that surrounds the Society, so he has requested that the district guard keep close tabs on the Grand Lodge for the next week. The Decemvirate has been in contact with Lord Omrys and assured him that all will be well.

The small bard looks around for a bit before ending up at the lore symposium. Listening to a few of the lectures, before giving it a try adding her points of view on how time could become a liquid and what uses it could be put to. While not a deep as Cacumattus, Rhanloi she does make a few points.

"The principal discovery of the sky citadel of Jormurdun has been moved to a strange chamber with no corners along the exterior walls, floor, and ceiling. This is to help shield it from strange otherworldly entities. This year’s keynote address is allegedly about the artifact discovered in Jormurdun, the Sky Key."
Scarlet tries her hand at retelling the tale she told the Kellid in a frosty cave..
Scarlet creates a good space to perform, clearing a bit of an area where the jongleur acrobat can ply her normal trade. Poppy casts a quick incantation and the grass is replaced by a white frosty mist...
"In our wanderings recently we were drawn to the land of the Kellids, and during that I had the honour of introducing my 'tribe' to theirs; my explanation went something like this"
She pulls out a pile of coins placing them in a small pile "Most people have a tribe, and mine were Varisian Sczarni wandering folk" she points to the coins and then picks one out, a more tarnished one and holds it aloft "though when you are as different from your pack as I was, there is no place for you and you vanish - in my case with my dear Grandmother" the coin disappears in a flourish.
Scarlet continues talking as she wander the circle, picking up a few small objects as she goes - "With no tribe to fit in with, I joined a wandering tribe - a Circus - where many different people come together to entertain and amaze" she begins juggling the items with a bit of a show, occasionally throwing one to a party member and have them throw back whilst she keeps juggling, the objects keep disappearing though.
Poppy begins playing a well timed melody to accentuate the story.
"However for those with talent, who wish to do more, the circus isn't the best tribe to join - instead, we all felt a calling..." she wanders by her fellows, and pickpockets someones Wayfinder "a calling to a new tribe where we can investigate the lost stories, recover the lost heroes, to secure from evil the most powerful artifacts, to do good deeds and save the decent folk from harm" the Wayfinder is tossed back to its owner playfully.
"We call our wise men the Decemvirate, and the tribe is the Pathfinders" she holds aloft the Wayfinder, the symbol of Pathfinders, "and those wise men are very good at collecting the lost of us to their cause as the Huscarl King gathersed them..." Scarlet finishes up recovering the palmed items from behind ears, under hats, and from the pockets of the spectators, handing back EVERYTHING pickpocketed.
"And that is all I have" she finishes with a bow.
Sleight of Hand (as perform skill) 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Take 10 Acrobatics as well for 22 to accent the show.
Poppy Perform (Stringed instrument) 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Rasamoro draws some funny faces as his attempt to lift a heavy weight almost results in a sprained back. A bulky man comes up saying Lemme show you howsit done, pipsqueak, then lifts the heavy weight over his head.
