Lee will...:
Get within 30 ft of the minotaur and use Antagonize in conundrum with intimidate to get the beast's attention, using an immediate action to get a second round if possible. Once he wakes up.

Just so that you are aware, there's something of a deadline on july 20th for the playtest chronicle. I'm willing to put in an extra post here and there to resolve this battle quickly (but if it we can't make it, so be it). You can help by making rolls for 'next rounds' in spoilers, but the actions should be somewhat straightforward to interpret for me (i.e. nothing too ambiguous). For instance, this fist round the minotaur will be focused on Janira, so feel free to post this rounds' action (probably moving up), and next rounds'.

After getting Lee 'close enough' the foxy zealot bellows in a profound manner!

She will then move up and cast Color Spray (DC 15) on the minotaur in the next round, followed by:

Light Crossbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d8 ⇒ 7 OR Heavenly Fire(vs. Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 181d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

And thennnn...

Heavenly Fire(vs. Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 211d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Heavenly Fire(vs. Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Heavenly Fire(vs. Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 211d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Heading to work, good luck, may all your hits be crits!

Round 1:

Hastur and Darkwing move closer to the minotaur, hoping to get there in time. Medea takes a running jump, and just about makes it to the other side of the stream.

Janira takes a step backward, and lashes out with her whip. She has little luck with her strike, but keeps shouting As Jebediah Heliotrope ripped apart the evil devils of Belzeranga to win the Acadamae tournament, so shall we prevail against you!

Disarm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Unfortunately, the axe remains firmly in the grip of the minotaur. The minotaur steps in and slashes wildly at Janira, in a bloodied frenzy, but misses as the nimble halfling evades all attacks.

Battleaxe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Battleaxe: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Gore: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Scarlet fox starts moving as well, while Ragathiel's hand casts a bless spell.

Round 2

Dakrwing and Hastur move some more, crossing the stream past the slippery log, while Medea moves to strike but misses.

Janira takes out her tanglefoot bag, takes a step back and throws it at the minotaur, covering it in a sticky mass of goo.

RT: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

The Minotaur only becomes more enrages at this, steps up again and hacks at Janira. This time the battle-axe hits, and it hurts Janira badly. She collapses from the wounds, rapidly bleeding out.

Battleaxe: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 - 2 = 212d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1) + 4 = 10
Battleaxe: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 2 = 3
Gore: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 - 2 = 14

Ragathiel's hand moves up with her crossbow, and fire at the minotaur, missing by a wide margin.

| AbadarCorp Entertainment Official GM | How is my flying? | DICEBOT LOVES YOU |Starship combat cheat sheet | STEAL THIS TEMPLATE | Traveling until Jan 3, reduced posting frequency expected

Hastur sprays the minotaur with a bright flash of colours, leaving the lumbering beast stupefied. It drops its axe, and is unable to move.

Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Stunned, 1 round. Note that stunned is not helpless, so coup de grace will not work

Medea attacks again, and with the target immobilised, slashing at the minotaur is a lot easier.

Stabilize for Janira: 1d20 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) - 2 + 1 = 0

Ragathiel's hand moves up and rains down some heavenly fire on the minotaur.

The table below is a mess, I know. I've already resolved the actions of the minotaur and Janira, so everyone who is bold has an action (and you can still roll actions for subsequent rounds). Hastier, do you want to keep spraying the minotaur?

Scarlet, I really didn't want to roll this because my luck has been not good.

Wand CLWW while en route to fight on SF: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Future actions change-up:
Only change-up for RH's action list would be because Janira is down, going to take a turn to double move (and attempt to jump the small creek) to get to her side without provoking because the Minotaur is stunned, and poke her with her wand.

Wand CLWW-Janira: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Well I'll be.

Sneak Attack:
Sneak Attack wrote:

Sneak Attack: If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage.

The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every two rogue levels thereafter. Should the rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.

With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (like a sap, whip, or an unarmed strike), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual –4 penalty.

The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment.

A vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from your hand, causing creatures to become stunned, perhaps also blinded, and possibly knocking them unconscious. Each creature within the cone is affected according to its HD.

2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)

3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.

5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.

Sightless creatures are not affected by color spray.

Stunned:
Stunned wrote:

I think this is what you are looking for, and it sounds RAW as if it turns a target flat-footed, which would then allow Sneak Attack damage to apply?

Hope that's helpful?

| AbadarCorp Entertainment Official GM | How is my flying? | DICEBOT LOVES YOU |Starship combat cheat sheet | STEAL THIS TEMPLATE | Traveling until Jan 3, reduced posting frequency expected

Yes, sneak attack applies because the minotaur is effective flat-footed (no dex bonus to ac). I just wasn't sure whether to apply the 'flank' or the 'unaware' bonus (I'm just familiar with the 'sneak attack' bonus). I'm guessing the distinction comes from some kind of Vigilante ability. Thanks for the rule reference paste, though :)

Scarlet fox's Round 1 action was to double move closer to Janira.
CLW from earlier: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Round 2:
The Scarlet Fox nimbly jumps over the stream Acro: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 and gets close enough to cast a color spray at the beast, hoping to at least blind him.
DC 15 Will save or probably blinded and stunned for rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 2 then stunned for an additional round.

Round 3:

If the beast did not get stunned by his round 2 action:

The Scarlet Fox will try another color spray at the beast. Another DC 15 Will save or as above

If the beast WAS stunned:

The Scarlet Fox tosses an acid flask at him.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
acid: 1d6 ⇒ 2

I'll adjust the timing for SF a bit...

Round 4

Janira is still bleeding as Ragathiel's hand revives her. I... I should best get out of the way, Janira says, scrambling away from the minotaur, that slowly starts moving again.

Only until the Scarlet fox comes in to blind the minotaur with a color spray.

Minotaur is stunned for round 4
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Round 5
Hastur spray another flash of bright colors at the minotaur, stunning it again.
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Scarlet fox makes good use of the situation by tossing a flask of acid at the minotaur, while Janira starts her singing again. Medea finally manages to cut the creature, while Ragathiel's hand rain down heavenly fire.

Round 6
..and again Hasturs's flash of light stuns the minotaur.
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

You mean Drangle Dreng is actually an alter ego of Aram Zey?

In Modesta's case, she will be the one picking up the Wayfinder--after all, she's the one that started on the mission...

Darkwing will pick up the wayfinder after being "inducted" into the society.

Drake Mallard shows up at work the next day and voices his sceptism about there being white-feathered tengus on Golarion. ;)

Winter Feathers is a L1 racial spell for tengu. It's not as far-fetched as one might believe...

Winter Feathers:
Quote:

School abjuration; Level cleric 1, druid 1, inquisitor 1, ranger 1, sorcerer/wizard 1

Casting Time 1 standard action

Components V, S

Range touch

Target feathered creature touched

Duration 24 hours

Saving Throw Will negates (harmless); Spell Resistance yes (harmless)

The target's feathers thicken and fluff up to ward against winter's chill. The target suffers no harm from being in a cold environment, and can exist comfortably in conditions as low as –50 degrees Fahrenheit without having to make Fortitude saves. The creature's equipment is likewise protected. This spell doesn't provide any protection from cold damage, nor does it protect against other environmental hazards associated with cold weather (such as slipping on ice, blindness from snow, and so on).

When you cast this spell, you may have the target's feathers turn white for the duration, granting it a +4 circumstance bonus on Stealth checks to hide in ice and snow.

I know about that spell. In fact, I was specifically using that spell to give Darkwing Duck white feathers! Part of the disguise is that Drake Mallard has black feathers, whilst Darkwing Duck has white. =)

In fact, it was that very spell that made me decide on the Warlock specialisation. ;)

It was none other than Aram Zey who led the ceremony. He had an air of tiredness on him, as if a burden was weighing on him, and he praised the strange group before him in his own special way. Well, don't think that one successful mission makes you invulnerable, there's many more dangers out there.

The hall was nevertheless erupted in a cheer when the six new pathfinder were handed their wayfinder, and soon there were murmurs about the strange name the initiates had given the cave they explored.

What was it again?

And with that, the group learned how to explore, report, cooperate, and skive four minutes off changing costumes.

Fin. I loved this, guys, thank you so much.

Learning how to change identities faster was definitely a worthy reason to do our Confirmation ;-)

Lovecraft should be Dark Archive, not Silver Crusade. Other than that, the sheet looks good :-)
