PFS: AP: Carrion Crown (CORE!)

Pathfinders,

I'm looking for a few players to run through the entire Carrion Crown (RotR) Adventure Path (AP) for Pathfinder Core credit. If possible, I'd like to have a "traditional" party that generally follows the [combat, divine, arcane, skills] motif.

If you stick with it, you will get PFS chronicle sheets for playing. Since this is being done as CORE, only the core rulebook, web traits, and the Carrion Crown Player's Guide are allowed for PC creation.

A bit about Carrion Crown: Amid the mists of this land of dark superstition and dread secrets stand both those who would defy the return of evil and those who would seek its terrible favor. Can the heroes discern their allies from their enemies in time to save a tortured realm from a tyrant’s return? Pathfinder’s darkest and most frightening campaign ever sets the heroes against the agents of Golarion’s most notorious villain, the Whispering Tyrant, in a terrifying trek across a land of lurking horror and ancient mysteries.

Who wants to play?

I'm totally in for this. I would like to note, though, that this character was mistakenly reported as a NON-CORE character for her first scenario, so I'm working on trying to get her correctly converted back to core. If necessary, I could re-make her as a new, level 1 CORE character and ignore the current character number.

Grand Lodge

What are the level requirements for this? I would love to join in, if I can play my level one.

I would be very interested in getting in on this. I can have something up probably tomorrow. Are we following PFS rules for character creation?

Shadow Lodge

GM Engleaktig are you running the whole AP in campaign mode or just the legal parts for PFS core?

Liberty's Edge

I'm interested after we finish Perils?

Silver Crusade

Yep, we're following PFS rules for the core campaign. Only the core rulebook, web traits, and the Carrion Crown Player's Guide are allowed for PC creation.

Only certain parts of the AP are valid for PFS credit, but we will play the WHOLE AP. :-) When we get to those parts that get you credit, you will give me the PFS number for a level appropriate CORE character, and I will report the game.

We will start at level 1 and go up to (and possibly beyond) level 15.

Sharien, please feel free to look through the Carrion Crown Players Guide to see if you would like to trade out a trait or two (or whatever) for campaign flavor.

So far we have:

Sharen: Half-elf: Wizard
Zorra: Dwarf: Rogue

Full disclosure: Adventure Paths can take about a year, or more when done via play-by-post!

Mike, you're welcome to start Carrion Crown before we finish Perils of the Pirate Pact--unless that's too much gaming to balance with your real-world responsibilities.

This is Mathpro18. I'm probably going to update this character to use on your game if that is okay with you GM Engleaktig. He is a Paladin I wrote up for another game.

Definitely thinking a Cleric of Pharasma for this one. Will have him fleshed out tonight. :)

Dark Archive

@GM: I think I'll stick with the two traits I have on her, and I'm going to make a new profile for her for use in this campaign so that I can note treasure gained and such. :)

And here is her new profile. Looking forward to this one!

I shall happily weigh in with a combat character. I'll go for a Half-Orc Fighter. Shall have him fleshed out by tonight.

Silver Crusade

OK. Presuming that you all stick with it, I think this is the party!

Sharien Oakfoot: Half-elf: Wizard
Zorra: Dwarf: Rogue
Poshment Galier: Gnome: Paladin
Lufien Loamin: Halfling: Cleric
Qstor: Half-orc: Ranger

Done!

Thank you, everybody for your interest and enthusiasm. :-) We'll give folks a couple of days to flesh out their character concepts.

I want to be clear: You can change your character throughout the AP. If you decide that something isn't working for you, change it up. At low levels, these changes can be frequent. At higher levels, we'll need to defer changes to good break points in the story.

In the meantime, players should feel free to introduce themselves and chat in the discussion thread.

Liberty's Edge

Is there room for one more? I saw this thread, created this character, and came back and it had closed recruitment. It won't be too much of a problem if you say no, I won't trip on my broken heart on the way out...:)
(Also, I think the half-orc is a fighter.)

Liberty's Edge

If you are still taking applications, or if there is an list of alternates, I'd be happy to toss my hat into the ring. I'd probably play a Human bard to round out spellcasting.

Yeah, let's do it. What level do we start at?

Silver Crusade

Thistlebane, since we emailed about this before people started posting, you're already in. I was saving a seat for you, but didn't know which character you'd bring.

Hm... You know what? mcruggiero, thistlebane, and dolgarth, why don't you make up table 2?

I'll create a new one and link to it shortly.

Liberty's Edge

Okay...*sniffle*
Nah, not a problem. I'll keep an eye out for it!
Edit: Hey, thanks! Huzzah!

Silver Crusade

mcruggiero, start at level 1.

Guys, to accommodate interest, I've created a 2nd table. If we have future attrition, we then have the option to merge tables and continue playing.

Table 2: gameplay; discussion; recruitment

I'll be playing a human player...this is my 'main' profile. Glad to have made it!

Silver Crusade

No prob. I prefer to be inclusive. :-) Like Oprah. "You get to play an AP. And you get to play an AP. Everybody gets to play an AP!" ;-P

Do you need another play for the second table then?
