Friye is best as Engineer or Science officer, is a competent Pilot, an okay Gunner, and a Captain who is likely to get talked into letting Kitty fly the ship (in case it's not obvious, this would be a Bad Idea). Her bonuses are in a spoiler in her header.

I was able to add an image to my main alias, but can't figure out where to do it for these characters. It's not an option under the profile.

At the top of the screen, there is the "My Account" button. When clicked, it opens a drop down menu. CLick "Account Settings". On the middle left side of the page, there will be a list of all your character. Click edit next to Buscador. On that page, there will an option to edit the "Avatar Image".

I am hoping to get our last player completely set up to play tomorrow, but at the latest Friday and then we will get this going. Thank you all for coming in!

I will bot Dex if he does not post by tomorrow morning. From that point forward (unless he checks in) I will bot him if we are waiting for him to post again.

Generally that will be my rule of thumb for botting. You will have about 2 days (maybe more if it is a weekend) to post before you get botted and you will stay as botted until your next post so if someone disappears for a week for one reason or another, we are not waiting again.

This adventure has two starship combats so I do not want to get tied down too long at any one point. Does this policy seem fair to everyone? If you dislike the policy, let me know what you think will work as a more fair that issue.

Either of you would make a great captain. Absent anyone insisting on it, my vote goes to the higher stats, Vyviane.

Friye is happy to take Science or Engineering, her best skills. I'm happy in any position except Captain myself, so if you have a preference speak up.

Hmm, I'd be willing to say that having a higher rank in a gunner seat than in the captain's chair is more important. If she was to just use her +10 bluff to taunt the enemy ship(s) and then give up the seat to Dex would that work?

In between sections we can make changes to our characters like they were in between scenarios, right? Vyviane needs to sell somethings to get a disguise kit (The halfling all built around disguise doesn't have one? Blah!) While in there she could easily trade out her rank in Computers for piloting (its kind of been bothering me that I didn't take one earlier). It should help with her shooting.

Dex, I really don't mind giving up the chair! I've played through the next combat and it can take forever, especially if you don't have a good gunner! Just as a warning, Vyviane will likely complain about it in character but ooc I think she should probably be shooting.

On a slightly related note, Vyviane is ready to go for the next part; I sold her serum of healing for a disguise tool kit and 20 feet of titanium alloy cable (I misinterpreted the rules on the sword cane as including it in the base price of the cane,) and traded the rank in computers for a rank in piloting. She now shoots with a +4 (3 dex plus 1 rank piloting in place of BAB.)

No worries here. I feel like I'm still new to everything, so I keep double checking stuff.

And speaking of - looks like our Drake info is from the old version, which had some errors. AC and TL should both be 12, and we should get +1 to any two checks per round.

This is a Pegasus not a Drake, but I can look into it and see if there have been revisions. This was the first published adventure, so it is possible.

Also, if anyone has suggestions on running space combat over the way I am, I am all for hearing it. I have only run one before and played in 2.

Space combat seems designed to make PbP difficult. Everyone has to wait on both pilots to complete their actions before deciding which weapons to fire, and PC's often forget to use the Mono/Duo/Trinode ship bonuses (I suggest they go automatically to the gunners unless stated otherwise).
