Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |
Tanith was hoping to have the shrine in the process of being rebuilt. If you want we can just hand-wave it. How much would it cost?
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |
Tanith was actually going to rebuild Varda's shrine.
Kobold Catgirl |
Oh, right, got it.
Building rules are located here. I'd say it would cost roughly the same as a default shrine, plus 200 gp for living arrangements for a priest, for a total of 470 gp.
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |
Oh we can do a lot better than that. The buildings adjacent were burned up too right? Are they available for sale?
Tanith wants to build a real center for the community. Something that's part YMCA, part hardcore sports gym, and part worship/meeting hall.
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |
That's doable. Can we hand-wave Tanith finding a general contractor and getting that started or did you want to RP it out?
Edit:
Tanith is just one goon with more money than sense. He can't solve all of society's problems. Hopefully whoever ends up running the place can find work/homes for the displaced homeless.
Dungeon Kobold |
Surely you're not saying
We have the resources
To save the poor from their lot?
Tanith has a pretty easy time finding a contractor (Wake's Construction, for instance).
Astraden Limhaare |
How much does it cost to rent a flat in the Muddle?
Astraden Limhaare |
Also, anyone have scroll requests for this adventure? I can scribe a couple this downtime.
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |
Not sure on scrolls. Do we have a bank of troubleshooting consumables like remove blindness, remove paralysis, and restoration?
What kind of timeline does Mr. Wake think we're looking at?
Astraden Limhaare |
I can grab remove blindness/deafness. KC, how does the restoration material component thing work for scrolls? Do the scrolls come in 100 gp and 1000 gp varieties or just 100 gp and you provide diamond dust on your own?
Kobold Catgirl |
Astraden:
If the scroll has a material component cost, it is added to the base price and cost to create.
Tanith: It will take about 3-4 months to fully complete (based on the building time for a complete inn), though basic aspects of the shrine (meeting center, quarters for the priest) will be done much sooner. Regardless, it will probably be too long for Tanith to oversee the whole process personally unless he wants to take an extended break from adventuring.

Look, if we were overly concerned with the homeless population, I imagine we wouldn't have killed the guy (and his pet spider) who was working so hard to reduce it.
Too soon.

That's fine. I was curious if it was something we'd see come to fruition within the course of the campaign.

Oh, by the way, Farrukh, a sidenote—there are bookies other than the Church of Norebo that handle more ordinary bets for the Champion's Games. Norebo's thing is more of a lottery where you get assigned a team at random. Convention bets and odds will be available, and betting on yourself may or may not be allowed. A Knowledge (local) check can get you a quick answer, as can just waiting and seeing.

Yes, so there would be some scrolls made for Ability Score Restoration and some made for Negative Level Restoration.
Carina Viera |
Carina's going to be going to the theatre with Astraden.
Gark the Goblin |
After the play Astraden's going to go buy components for a scroll of remove blindness/deafness and start work on that (taking 10 on Spellcraft). Once she's done scribing it, she'll go back to Eligos' house and take advantage of his books.
CL 5 scroll of remove blindness/deafness components: 187.5 gp.
Carina Viera |
Once Carina is done with the play, she's going to be copying the formulae she found in the drow alchemist's book. Taking 10 on Spellcraft for each one.

Nah, SC handled her poorly as an NPC. She was created to be mysterious and beneficial, but they never actually answered the question of who or what she was and she just kinda dropped out of the narrative. (My money had always been on her being a dragon.)
She also had an aristocratic persona, so I was kinda stumped when you showed us her pic, but the reveal explains a lot.
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |
Tanith would obviously prefer something Kord-themed but with Farrukh involved that's probably a bad idea.

As the god of physical competition Kord seems like the better fit but like Rynjin said, Kord's not going to be too happy when a member of the team gets boos from the crowd for being an honorless heel.
Dungeon Kobold |
I'll get a post up in a couple hours. We'll probably skip to the night of the Free Dinner (after Ekaym gives the rate he'll accept)—anything anyone wants to do before then that I should make a note of?
Kobold Catgirl |
As an aside, the DC listed to convince him to agree to an equal share was 30. Had you guys hit 40, I was going to let Ekaym agree to 10%, but the check was just a single point short.
Ekaym can bring in 1,200 gp in healing magic each day. A stated, he'll also act as your go-between if you want to communicate with anyone outside or purchase additional supplies.
Kobold Catgirl |
Also, in case you guys want some inspiration, here's a list of names chosen in other games.
Legion of Doom
The Mind Slayers
Divine Intervention (group had been calling themselves this prior, as every member had at least one level in cleric)
The Blink Dogs (they devised their own gang sign, too)
The Lords of Diamond Lake (based on a sarcastic taunt from Smenk earlier)
Clayton's Word (in honor of Clayton Redstaff, a paladin who fell fighting a certain owlbear)
The Black Razers (an homage to the half-elf rangers in the party whose father once wielded Blackrazor)
The Green Dragons—in Draconic (green cloaks were made; two PCs were half-dragons and group had a kobold sidekick)
Regulators
The Claw of the Wurm (PCs serve a god called the Devourer Wurm)
Impotent Rage
Crazy Eight (gang of kobold monks)
Tempest Verdigris
Circle of Four (all-spellcaster party)
Ekyam's Surprise
The Wind Dukes (group had through some strange means acquired a mind flayer head, which they had stuffed, animated, and stuck on a standard)
Wormingers
Snaevar's Bloody Mug (reference to fight club created by the party's alchoholic dwarf, Snaevar ReduBron)
The Hexiles (six PCs who had to flee Diamond Lake)
Les Compagnons du Fléau—Fellowship of the Flail/Scourge (all servants of Hextor)
Diamond Lake Brawlers
Stone Lords (several members liked to collect gems)
Bahamut's Children
Also, Diamond Lake references were very popular:
The Diamond Lakers (group started to produce tags, T-Shirts and caps as giveaways to improve their rep)
Diamond Lake Duo
The 7 of Diamonds
The Diamond Band
Diamond Lords
The Diamond Company
The Diamond Blades (twice)
Diamond Dogs
Diamonds in the Rough
Diamond Knights
