Dash pulls the new rifle from his glove and fires a single shot into the robot's prone form. Messalina continues to leak coolant but can't manage to coat the robot as it lies sprawled on the ground.
Zane continues to hack into the healing green framed robot as his sword cleaves off the weakened arm. The metal chuck falls to the ground like the sounded of a dropped empty drum of oil.

Messalina's coolant slows the robot's gears down enough for Draka to launch in and tear the top half free with her hammer. The top half flings against the wall, clattering to the floor as it throws sparks.

”Gotta admit, I thought that swoop hammer was a crazy choice of weapon. But it sure does a good job of fixing malfunctioning robots.”
Dash goes through the racks, inspecting the armor like a fashionista at a secondhand store. Tapping a particularly brazen skull emblem, he says, ”I think these guys are trying too hard. Oh, look! They have one sized for you Vetch! I think with a little work, and an eyepatch, we could make that skull less death cult and more pirate crew.”

@Zane- You don't have any HP damage so the serum wouldn't do anything.
Abe lays his tools out as he looks over the panel. Not finding it trapped Abe finds the look to be amateur hour compared to his natural ability.
Pushing in the panel Abe slides it to the left along a built in rail. Inside is a suit of golemforged plating III with jump jets installed.
Aerav Brack Elijea
Abe hauls out the suit and offers it to Draka or The Zane - at least to carry if not to wear. He looks more closely at the other armor - some of it is quite nice, save for the decoration. Could he possibly remove the skulls, fangs, and other symbols given enough time? Maybe throw some UPCs at it?
He checks around one more time to be thorough, then suggests, "Shall we continue on north?"
He resets his weapon, brings Messalina in the rear to cover their back (still flying along the ceiling), and heads north.
Moved on map, but he's not going ahead of either Draka or The Zane - he knows where it's safe.
The Zane
(Whistling) Wow. Oh Wow, that is one crazy good set of armor. The Zane can name manufacturers and production dates when it comes to weapons and armor. That thing in the hidden panel is the crown jewel of whatever the cultists got their hands on.
Then he sees the jumpjets
Plus Jumpjets! This is like hitting Lottery numbers. The Absalom PowerBall.
If this can fit Draka, she should have it, but if not, The Zane will wear this and be impossible to hit.
After changing some armor (for Zane or Draka and others - see Discussion section) Zane moves to be in front and check out the northern passage that Abe talked about.

This is what must be the Mess Hall. This area is divided into two wings. The western chamber contains several pantry shelves as well as four flat, utilitarian stove units with attached faucets, while the eastern side is filled with round metal tables and chairs.
The pantry shelves mostly hold dry and preserved foods. The nature of the supplies here is odd, with extremely spicy options mixed with bizarre strains of fruit and vegetable preserves.
Aerav Brack Elijea
Abe is uncomfortable wearing armor with such adornment. He'll try to remove the iconography, skulls, etc. (if he can) from the armor before proceeding.
If possible, he'll clear off the Ysoki Refractor Suit first, and offer it to Vetch, but if he doesn't want it, Abe will certainly wear it as it will let him power up their batteries as well as support his night vision. If Vetch does claim it however, he'll put on a suit of Kasatha microcord II - once cleaned off of course.
If he cannot clear the skulls and such off the suits, he'll decline to wear them for now.

The shelves hold:
- D-suits I (2)
- Estex suits II (2)
- Kasatha microcord II (2)
- Ysoki refractor suit.
Vetch takes a moment to examine the armors, looking at everything before setting his eyes on the Ysoki refractor suit.
”Hey Abe? This is pretty sweet, ain’t it? Think it will fit me?” Vetch says, taking a moment to both fix his electrical burns and try on the new armor. -1 resolve. He takes the time to affix the proper cat 5 colored cabling around the new armor, allowing his devotion to Triune to be more pronounced.
"Shall we continue on north?"
Moved on map, but he's not going ahead of either Draka or The Zane - he knows where it's safe.
”Yeah, sure.” Vetch nods, walking awkwardly in his new armor. He’s not sure he’s set it to fit comfortably and might need some time before it stops pinching him in his ratty nutsack.

Dash finds nothing of interest or magical in this room, though you could spend 30 minutes arranging the stores into up to eight R2E meal packets that can be consumed at your leisure.

Abe suits up into a Kasatha microcord II. It tugs a little more than his last armor, but he feels it's worth it for the extra protection.
He nods at Dash's discovery, "Let's collect the food on our way out maybe. Ship's pretty well stocked as it is anyway."
He'll then follow the others to the next opening. Though he's expecting trouble, he's somewhat relaxed as the robots didn't seem too tough - compared to some of the other things they'd faced already.

Aren't there penalties for wearing armor that isn't custom fit? Also, where is the Golemforged III armor from? It's above our character levels.

The Golemforged III is from the Core Rulebook Page 198
Devourer cultists often adorn their armor with magically enhanced trophies representing their most meaningful kills, such as skulls or other bits of bone or exoskeleton taken from slain foes, defiled holy symbols, broken bits of weapons, or bloodied and tattered badges or seals of authority.
While wearing armor with grim trophies, if you successfully cause a foe to be shaken, the foe applies the –2 penalty from that condition to weapon damage rolls in addition to the other rolls it normally applies to.
Though as I mentioned. They can be easily removed.
If you get secondhand armor that wasn’t tailored for you, you can have it adjusted, which requires a successful Engineering check (DC = 10 + 2 × the armor’s level). Alternatively, you can spend 10% of the armor’s purchase price to have it adjusted by a professional—typically an armorsmith or anyone with multiple ranks in Engineering.
Doing some digging, but I am not seeing any penalties. Basically you can either wear it or you can't due to the adjustment. As most everyone here is human like the cultists Vetch and Draka would need their new armor adjusted. You would have had time to fiddle around with it swapping everything around.
The group cuts back down the hallway investigating the doors on the opposite end. Zane opens the door to the South Mess Hall. This kitchen and dining area seem as if they were abandoned in the middle of a meal’s preparation. Pots of meat slurry and festering dairy sit on the stoves to the west, and metal cups full of some sludgy, long turned beverage sit on the tables to the east. Tiny flies buzz about the entire scene, flitting from place to place among the rotten smorgasbord.
An overwhelming rotten stench flows from the open door causing everyone to gag.
Everyone needs a DC 18 Fort save or be sickened.
The open floor plan looks to continue north and east.
The Zane
"Bofo?" Vetch's face squinches into a mask of mis-comprehension. "What does that mean?"
To which Zane replies. Good question.. BoFo..... it's probably slang. Picked it up while playing for a Deathball Team. Incidentally, the same team where The Zane scored F-I-V-E times in a single game. against Yanabe Major. That team was called New Wave and used such slang as, "Totally, RAD, Tubuler, Gnarly, and Bodacous." . Don't know what any of them mean; or if they are all slang or some alien language; but ALL of them were used at one time or another by the fans when The Zane was on the field.
As to the other question,
Does it make my ass look fat?
Zane is average intelligence and is certainly smart enough to know to avoid answering that question -no matter WHO asks it.
When Draka gives Zane a compliment and even mentions watching the footage... he just beams with confidence and pride. He is so happy to hear that.
The Zane fight well. Draka look forward to watching recording of fight."
Yes! Yes! Great idea. The Zane loved the teamwork by everyone and really wants to see Draka's Swoop Hammer knock that droid off it's feet over and over again.
Draka - you make Zane so happy to have you with the team. You are a true MVP. That last statement is very true and even a bit humble, he appreciates the growing friendships amongst the whole group. At the beginning, he only bonded with Messelina - now he seems to have really connected with everyone. In the future, when they do watch the vids- He certainly does enjoy and point out his fellow partners good work- but does timestamp each and every frame that he appears in and makes editors style notes on how to cut a highlight reel.

Please note that Zane has a respiration Compounder. That +2 might allow me to make it by the skin of his teeth.
Item Level: 1
Price: 250
System: Lungs
A respiration compounder consists of a series of modules that attach to your lungs, letting you survive longer without having to breathe. Treat your Constitution score as though it were doubled for the purpose of how long you can hold your breath. You also gain a +4 bonus to Constitution checks to continue holding your breath. This doesn’t protect you from other dangers of an airless environment.
The compounder also filters your air, granting a +2 bonus to saving throws against inhaled poisons or other airborne toxins.

Vetch waits a couple of moments, but with each passing moment the smell seems to linger. The sickness doesn't seem to pass as his guts turn.
The Zane and Draka push on to the east. Minimalist sleeping pallets lie on the severe metal floor of this room, and simple shelves and dressers serve as furniture.

Abe sits on the dirty bed and sets about trying to crack the computer's log-in screen.
Among the mundane data files, electronic messages, gaming applications, and other files on the datapad is a single video file labeled “Do Not Delete.”
In the video, a verthani and a gnome are sitting cross-legged on the floor inside one of the base’s living quarters. Both are dressed in robes and wearing unholy symbols of the Devourer, and the verthani is teaching the gnome to sing a paean to the Devourer. Throughout the song, both cultists repeat the phrase “Nyara knows!” over and over.
*****
The video comes to a close and The Zane pushes on eastward. Three rows of mostly bare shelves stand along the southeastern end of this wide room. Here and there, a dilapidated pistol or longarm sits on a dusty shelf. Three humanoid robots stand near the north wall; each is hunched over and covered in scorch marks, occasionally emitting puffs of sickly gray smoke.
This room once stored the cult’s collection of stolen and looted weapons, though its members took most of the firepower with them when they fled the base. Three doors to the north each lead into a small water closet.
The Zane quickly recognizes the trio of robots as similiar security robots that were found in the armory. The three robots are clearly disabled. You can easily see that gunfire—likely lasers—violently dispatched them sometime within the past week.
The shelves here hold the following battered weapons:
- Pulsecaster pistol
- Red star plasma rifle
- Tactical acid dart rifle
- Thunderstrike sonic pistol
- Utility scattergun.
- Corona Laser Pistol (2)

There's some loot for folks if anyone wants it, nudge, nudge. A couple Frag II grenades and a Ring of Sustenance. Draka, you want any of it? You're a bit behind us in overall loot... so you should help yourself.
The Zane
What the Hell?! There's a whole lot less fighting than The Zane was expecting. These guys de-de'd out of here at a rush. Probably got the info from the cultist lunatic we killed, but also got news that Team Blood and Fury was heading their way.
Now about these droids being pre-killed..... Those Skull Squadron zombie guys must have arrived RIGHT after Cult-Force-Fifteen did their exit stage left. The Skull Squadron came here and found what they wanted- because they didn't clear out the whole place.
So, if all the people in this place left- they needed a space ship and thus they needed a space ship hanger... right? What do the smart guys think? Is there secret doors to find that'd leave to a hanger? Is there a computer that has coordinates?
He says all the above with the pained expression of attempting a mental flow of consciousness and brainstorming. Really, he's just trying to see if any of the braintrust smiles at something he says and comes up with deeper strategy. Zane would like to be the team Muse.

Picking up the strange technological device covered in leathery gore Abe quickly recognizes it as a necrograft—an augmentation using undead organs and necromantic rituals rather than cybernetics or biotech— that was installed in an undead creature. Necrotech is commonly available on Eox and quite popular among members of the Corpse Fleet— though nothing definitively links the augmentation found here to the exiled navy.

Dash hangs back until he’s done spewing lunch. Androids were built to avoid sickness, and it is particularly gross for one to fall victim to such organic reflexes. He reminds himself that he’ll have to get used to more exotic aromas now that Zane and Draka are members of the crew. Gone are the days when the ship only smelled occasionally of wet rat.
”Someone needs to teach these guys some basic f@#%ing life skills.” He chuckles at his own joke.
Claiming the second Corona Laser Pistol, Dash follows Zane to the next unexplored area. This time, he holds his breath and lets the big human be the canary in the coal mine.

oooOOooooh, Draka will take the Ring of Sustenance (along with the armor stated previously.)
Draka doesn't look anywhere except for her own claw. "Draka never been one for bling. Blood gets caught. But Draka like ring." Draka knows nothing about the ring except for what her companions have told her. As a player, I know. The vest continues to admire the jewelry as Abe does all of the hard work. When The Zane specifically addresses his Blood and Fury companion, Draka looks from her hand to the cabinet. She moves over and lifts the furniture. After setting it down, the vesk flexes. "Too easy. Draka stands right behind the other tanky member of the party. "What past that threshold?" The vesk's double set of eyelids blink and her mouth opens slightly like she's tasting the air. Moved on map.

Before moving to final room something happens with the dresser.
Before the group heads back to the unexplored recesses of the cultist's chamber, Draka and the Zane move a locked dresser back out into the hallway. Shutting all of the doors, Vetch's stomach finally begins to calm itself a bit.
Something inside the dresser rattles as if small metal coins rattle about within. Setting it down Abe gives it a good once over for traps before setting about to jimmy the lock. Finding no traps Abe works his tools in the lock until he hears the familiar click.
With the lock broken Abe stands up and opens the drawer. Only moments before Draka had just been speaking of the many traps covering every inch of the Star Eater's Spine. A latticed arc of lasers quickly beam out all over Abe's chest.
Laser Arc Damage (Fire): 4d10 + 5 ⇒ (3, 9, 8, 1) + 5 = 26 DC 15 Reflex for half.
The dresser contains the cultists’ collection of armor upgrades and weapon fusion seals:
- Brown force field
- Mk I electrostatic field
- Bleeding fusion seal (6th)
- Vicious fusion seal (5th)
Vicious weapons have sinister appearances. A vicious weapon gains the boost special weapon property, but when you make an attack with the boosted damage, you take damage equal to the additional boost damage. This damage applies even if your attack misses, and it is not reduced by DR, resistance, or any other ability. The boost is 1d4, plus an additional 1d4 for every 6 item levels the weapon has. If the weapon does not use charges or ammunition, boosting it takes a standard action and does not expend any additional charges or ammunition. You cannot boost an attack made with the automatic, blast, explode, or line weapon special property. Weapons that have the boost special weapon property cannot be vicious.

Abe stands squarely in front of the blast and cooks. He steps back after a moment, swearing loudly, "Damn, I looked for traps, damn thing was well hidden. I agree Draka, waaaay to many traps."
He'll take 10 minutes to recover his lost mojo while the others sort through the contents.

Sitting with Abe, Vetch continues to try to undo the sickness, waiting for nausea to clear.
He will toggle with the armor upgrades, wondering if either might work for him.
Vetch's new ysoki armor has two upgrade slots and either or both of those would work for him. Does anyone else have open slots?
The Zane
While Zane wishes that his armor had extra slots to accomodate the very cool items that were found at ABE's expense.
When that drawer opened and ABE got a face full of laser beams...
all he could think of was.... DANG!
Zane offers a healing vial, but ABE seems to decline it and looks to be much better after resting for about 10 minutes. Those lasers must have missed or maybe ABE knew they were possibly there in the first place.
The Zane would want those fusion upgrades. One to apply to Bubba and another to the sword. But is cool with anything that works best for Team Blood and Fury. If others need them to survive, no-problem-o.
Also, that Electrostatic field is Cherry- Berry- Bo-Berry good. Someone just has to add that to their defense suit. It's well made by the Piorians and is useful for giving as well as taking.
That Forcefield though -- not so much. While anything helps, that thing is lame just like this empty cult base. Full of potential but one big letdown cake full of LAME.
Always opinionated, but rarely right. Zane makes his thoughts shown.
