Dash chuckles as the ratling looses his sh!t and calls the goblins “vermin.” He wonders if he should point out the irony, but decides to let Vetch take out his wrath elsewhere.

Vetch misses whipping his pet goblin as the cowering wimp shakes against the wall.

Seeing the Akata's coming through the door Kcectic quickly uses his battle glove and lands one lucky blow in on the top of the Akata's skull.

The green goblin looks up at Vetch. "I needs my dogslicer!" He holds a hand out to the Ysoki.

The red goblin looks to try and free itself from it's bonds.

Breaking free the red goblin shifts out of the way to get a better shot without drawing the Akata's wraith.

Dash breaks off for the kitchen and grans a bucket of water and a large industrial size container of salt from the galley.

Abe readies his club as Messalina fires another bullet into the Akata's chest, proving more than effective.

Soryn's mote forms into the familiar dark, swirling stick as the Akata's bound out into the hallway, sticking to the goblin like glue. Each takes a guarded step.

Double move for Dash to return, but the salt water is locked and loaded if anyone wants to give it a spray.

Yes it did hit Abe, sorry. Also the airlock doors were open from earlier. Just not the outside ones. All doors are open on the ship except for 3 of them which you have all encountered.

As the Akata closes Abe bashes in the creature's skull as a resounding crack is heard throughout the hall, like Abe's club cracking in half.

Soryn steps in and finishes it off as he breaks the beasts neck with his mote of dense energy.

Unable to move Kcectic tries punching his way to freedom, though the Akata still stands.

Dash pours the salt into the bucket and rushes back as soon as he can. Meanwhile Abe and Messalina are unable to get a clean shot in the tight quarters.

The goblin looks down at his useless pistol and back up at Dash. "I said I need my Dogslicer!" He points to the android, nearly knocking the bucket from his hands, showing how useless he truely is against this particular foe.

Vetch smacks the wiry goblin with his club. Though he only ends up bruising it a little bit.

The Akata bites at Kcectic through the open door as it attempts to drag him to the ground.

Vetch doesn't notice too much as the easily avoidable mauling of Kcectic continues as he is too focused on the goblin that is too close.

Trick Attack:

You can trick or startle a foe and then attack when she drops her guard. As a full action, you can move up to your speed. Whether or not you moved, you can then make an attack with a melee weapon with the operative special property or with any small arm. Just before making your attack, attempt a Bluff, Intimidate, or Stealth check (or a check associated with your specialization) with a DC equal to 20 + your target’s CR. If you succeed at the check, you deal 1d4 additional damage and the target is flat-footed. This damage increases to 1d8 at 3rd level, to 3d8 at 5th level, and by an additional 1d8 every 2 levels thereafter. The Akata falls to a flurry of blows and is quickly killed as Dash mists it with a spray bottle, melting it's skin.

Meanwhile vetch continues to beat the goblin senseless with his club. The goblin rubs his bruised arm, glaring at Vetch, knowing that it wouldn't go well if he resisted. "Stop it!"

Noqual shards from two more cocoons litter the floor. (2 bulk and are worth 1,000 credits).

In the corner of the room you find a flame pistol lying on the floor.

Abe takes a deep breath after the fight. "Whew, these things are nasty."

"Vetch, the fight's over. Leave that gob' alone."

He gives the room a cursory once over before preparing for the final hold.

"Look here!" he picks up a flame pistol in the corner. "Anyone want it?" he offers before putting it on the pile to load up into the shuttle.

He'll move to the next door when people are ready to proceed. He doesn't pay much attention to the goblins - but he's not giving him the flame pistol that's for sure.

"Were it not for racism perhaps this would have ended sooner." Kcectic says as he takes the time to finally untangle himself and rub the wound on his leg.

He's too preoccupied clearing gunk off his exoskeleton to notice anything in the room.

Fortunately the final room on the ship does not contain any Akatas. The Acreon’s port cargo hold contains much of the ship’s supplies—extra food and water stores, replacement air filters, spare parts, and the like. There is also a shipping container approximately 8 feet square, addressed to the Eoxian Embassy on Absalom Station. This is the “package” that Gevalarsk Nor asked you to recover for him.

The container is sealed and has no manifest detailing its contents.

Dash blows across the top of his turkey baster like a gunslinger after a showdown.

”Sh!i damn I’m good...”

In the hold...

”Well this doesn’t seem at all shady or illegal.” He remarks upon finding Nor’s package. Looking back over his shoulder at Nor’s observer robot he gives an exaggerated wink.

While going through the rest of the Acreon’s hold and taking a full inventory, Dash adds a good amount of salt to a large canister of water, straps it to a rolling handcart, then attaches a frag grenade to the side. ”Just in case the rock has more akatas.” He explains to anyone that looks his way.

He also checks Killface at some point and, despite how hilarious it would be, makes sure the goblin doesn’t come back as a goblin juju zombie.

Finally, once everyone is ready to return to the Hippocampus, he brings up the topic of what’s next.

”So, where do we f@&%ing go next?”

I say Absalom to unload the goblin and Nor’s package, sell loot and buy stuff.


"I agree, the box does look weird, but we're not being paid to act as Absalom's custom's office. If there's a problem, I'm sure they'll sort it out."

"Yes, let's take the goblin back, along with this stuff and the box. Then we can return tomorrow and maybe investigate the rock, search the computer for more data files, and really check the ship for clues."

He scratches his bald scalp, "It feels like we haven't found much to determine who gets what of this find. The crew lost their lives getting it this far, but I'm not convinced one way or another that it was theirs or the companies."

I agree with Dash. Everyone please check over the treasure sheet and make sure there's nothing you want or we're selling it when we get back and divvying the proceeds. What time of day is it?

You aren't completely sure that the crew lost their lives. According to the videos from the bridge they retreated to find sanctuary on the rock.

Vetch watches as Kcectic doesn't seem to care for the red goblin bleeding out on the floor. He speaks out of one attena, acts out of another.

He shrugs, letting the red die a meaningful death. He does not attack the green goblin unless it again gets too close.

Should green get too close, Vetch will beat it about the head again with his cane, wondering why the party hasn't shot it into space yet.

Vetch chooses not to accept the flame pistol, thinking the appropriate use of it would be fire it up the goblin's arse as it is blasted into space.

”Ok, those asteroid miners are probably f@&%ing dead.” Dash states the obvious (to him). ”Don’t lie, you are all thinking it. On the slim chance they aren’t, I’m sure they can hold out for one more night. Plus, we’re rich and it’s happy hour in Absalom yo!!”

Mechanics wise: was this goblin dead after the fight or actually dying, because Kcectic actually would have attempted to help but from the description it sounded like the goblin was beyond help.

Kcectic looks over the loot but makes no claims to anything. Though he does look over the flame pistol just to have something to do. "It is unfortunate that this weapon was useless to the crew. If they did survive this assault, I agree with Dash, it's not likely they lasted much longer. Your salt solution will prove useful when we inspect the rock."

Yeah, but from the RP angle, it seemed that Kcectic cared about the gobbos and might have checked or done something.

Vetch continues to keep an eye on the gobbo, waiting for the next instance where it will damage the party, the ship, or himself.

"We should tie it up. It is not to be trusted. You've already seen what it can do," Vetch says grimly.

Vetch wonders what to do next.

"Yes, we should have salt and water as we continue. Now, what to do with your diseases? We should get you to a sick bay. I might be able to treat you there."


"I don't think we should move the Acreon until we're done with our investigations - and are sure there are none of these things clinging to the hull somehow."

He turns and frowns at Dash, "I too think the crew is dead, and I'm fine with an overnight delay, but I will not join you in celebration. These people lost their lives, and we still don't know if we an help their families. I'll celebrate when there's an actual outcome to all this."

"We also don't know why we were attacked coming here. It seemed pretty specific for just piracy. We should keep that in mind."

He notes at Vetch, "It would be good to visit somewhere we can boost some supplies. I can help with that as well."

He starts to shift things onto the shuttle to haul back to Absalom Station, including the unknown box.

Ah, then I misrepresented Kcectic. He did not want to kill in cold blood but recognized they were dangerous, he's not particularly fond of them.

"Good point Abe, you are right, hopefully they have no issue recovering their ship, they've lost enough for this rock."

Kcectic begins helping move things back toward the Hippocampus and preps the ship to head back to the station when the rest are ready.

Dash claims the frag grenade, azimuth artillery laser, and considers the potential of the fire extinguisher. GM: Could the fire extinguisher be modified to spray salt water?

Seeing 3 medpatches among the items the group has found Dash points out how they could help with all the VD going around. He also suggests buying a dozen more. And some “protection” in case someone gets lucky at happy hour.

Basic medkits are just about useless (treat deadly wounds only at a DC 25 medicine check).
Advanced medkits are too expensive (2700 credits).

Medpatches note that they can be used with the medicine skill for first aid, poison, or disease. Dash already has +8 bonus with the medicine skill which makes success almost automatic for him with the +10 medpatch bonus. At 50 credits each I believe these are the best for us at this time.

Basic Medkit:

The basic medkit has spray antiseptic, bandages, and handheld instruments designed to examine, explore, and treat common ailments. The basic medkit allows you to attempt DC 25 Medicine checks to treat deadly wounds.

Advanced Medkit:

The advanced medkit adds more-advanced and specialized tools to diagnose and treat ailments. The advanced medkit can be used in the same way as a basic medkit, but the DC to treat deadly wounds is only 20, and you gain a +2 insight bonus to Medicine checks to treat drugs, diseases, and poisons. Additionally, you can use an advanced medkit to set up a temporary one-patient medical lab, though this requires 10 minutes. You can then provide long-term care to a single patient using the temporary medical lab, with a DC 30 Medicine check.

Medpatch:

A medpatch is a simple, all-in-one, disposable medical device designed to be slapped onto a wound or area of concern (such as a clearly diseased or poisoned section of the body) with little skill required. A medpatch allows you to attempt a Medicine check untrained with a +10 circumstance bonus, but only for the first aid, long-term stability, treat disease, and treat drugs or poison tasks.

Medicine Skill - Treat Disease:

You can use Medicine to treat a creature suffering from a disease. This takes 10 minutes and requires a medkit, a medical lab, or a medical bay on a Starship. Every time the diseased creature attempts a saving throw against the disease, you can attempt a Medicine check. If your result exceeds the DC of the disease, the creature receives a +4 bonus to its saving throw against the disease.

@Kcectic- the goblin was dead.

@Dash-If you could figure out a way to re-pressurize the fire extinguisher I would think you could.

Abe begins loading everything into lockers on the Hippocampus. Within moments vetch secures the semi-conscious Goblin into his seat, not really buckling him in at all.

The group decides to let the discreet package be and just load it onto the vessel with no further questions.

Kcectic puts fire to the thrusters and arcs off from the Acreon making the two hour journey back to Absalom Station and a good nights rest. In no time at all the Armada comes into view. the constant swirling of ships is mesmerizing as you are directed to an open port by the port authority to unload your cargo.


Dash, sorry, when the form says 'Party Divvy' that usually means the item has already been sold or otherwise used. We don't have the artillery laser or frag grenade any longer. We do have an incendiary grenade, a shock grenade, and a tactical arc emitter or flame pistol. I've noted you're carrying and tracking the med patches.

"Sure these medpatches are useful, but do you really think we need a dozen? The serums do more in some cases I think, and I suspect we'll go through more of those, though we haven't had to so far..." he nods to Vetch and Kcectic for their help.

"'course I dunno what it's going to take to get ride of this itch. Yeah, if we can't get some med-bay time, let's get the patches." Abe convinces himself.

He watches as their little ship is guided to an open port. "Do we need to carry this box to our contact, or can we let the port authority handle it? It is quite bulky."

Unsure what to do about the goblin as well, he waits for the port authority to tell them what's to be done.

The port authority guides the vessel into the bay where Kcectic kills the engines. Opening the bay door the man looks at his computer data pad. ”Anything to declare?”. Looking up with a start he nearly leaps a foot in the air as he sees the Goblin. ”You can’t let that thing in here!” He nervously calls into his comment unit for support for potential infestation. Soon a pair of guards come with bindings to secure the Goblin. As they try to strap him down the nervous Goblin wiggles free and makes a break for it. The guards scream and give chase only to watch a large Vesk pull a stunning baton from his side and give the goblin a good jolt to the neck that drops it to the ground, twitching. The winded guards catch up and are able to freely secure the Goblin to drag him off.

Abe watches the short creature being dragged off, "Well that's the main thing we have to declare." he grins, "But it looks like you handled it."

"Nor wants his package, let him explain it to the port authority." Dash shrugs. "Let's unload this noqual and get some drinks."

Still a little hazy on communication tech. Do we have a comm line number for Nor? Or some way to send him messages on the infosphere? If so, I suggest we report that way and if he wants us to come see him in person, then he'll have to ask.

Abe: regarding party treasure, gotcha. Dash suggests keeping all grenades, as they are fun at parties.

While you do not have Ambassador Nor's direct link to his personal comm device you easily find his office information within the infosphere to call at your leisure.

The Port authority turns to Dash as the group begins to leave the massive package at the port. He gives a sharp whistle and points at it.
"Can't be leaving this out on the docks. Someone is bound to steal it. Either take it with you or lock it in your ship."


"You guys go on, I'll contact Ambassador Nor and arrange for him to pick this up, or lock it back on the ship. Then I'll sell the noqual we found and pick up some medpatches. Shouldn't be long."

"Dash, you seemed to like these, have some more." Abe grins as he gives him one Shock Grenade and one Incendiary Grenade. (Someone should carry them.)

Abe calls the ambassadors office and asks to speak to Nor, indicating who he is, and that he has Nor's package.

While he waits for someone to pick it up (assuming that's the case) he fiddles with the computer he's building. Well, it's mostly random UPBs at this point, but like a good jigsaw puzzle, you've got to think of the big picture.

He'll then sell off the little gear the party has accumulated and buy a dozen medpatches. When he rejoins the party, he gives four to Dash, four to Vetch, and keeps for four himself.

Distribution! Everyone please take 864cr and add it to your character sheet. That's our individual haul after we buy the medpatches.

"Nah, I'll wait," Vetch declines to go on without his roomie, Abe. "Besides, you shouldn't be alone in case you start turning into a zombie. I'll need to take you out before you hurt someone."

When Abe goes shopping, he will purchase a basic Medkit as he is unable to afford the deluxe.

Vetch can spend 10 minutes to do a basic heal (just hp) someone if they need it.

Vetch, once he has his medkit, will attempt to treat Abe's disease.

"Now sit still. You're the only one who saw the wisdom of closing the dang door so I'll assume that you have the basic conception that you'll need to sit still while I fix you."

Abe sends a message out to Ambassabdor Nor. It takes several minutes but the message is received and replied immediately through the infosphere public computer with a hurried response.

Keep the package on your ship for now. I will send a team soon to gather it. After you are complete with your trip to the Free Market come and see me. I would wish to hear your details of the investigation.

While waiting for the reply Vetch mixes together a thick paste from the medkit and has Abe drink it. From what he can tell it should have a positive effect, though it still tasted like liquid chalk.

After a quick trip to the mall Dash returns and treats his VD with a new medkit, then seeks out Abe for some mechanical advice.

”Yo, Abe.” Dash calls as he steps through the hatch of the Hippocampus. ”So I’m working on some special f@$%ing frag grenade surprises in the event we come across more akatas, and I was thinking we could modify that fire extinguisher we found as well. Maybe rig it to blast salt water. What do you think?”


”Thanks again Vetch. I’ll be glad when we’re done with these Akkata creatures.”

Abe tells Nor, ”I’ll let the team know - and I’ll wait with your box until it’s collected. Don’t want anything to happen to it this close to its destination.”

And wait he does, working on his computer and chatting with Vetch.

When the box is finally collected, he sells the goods, and picks up one or two items for himself.

”That’s a great idea Dash, although I do kinda like the idea of being able to put out a fire too - just in case. Still, we need to find a way to re-pressurize the canister once we’ve replaced the contents with salt water. I might be able to rig something up, but surely a shop that makes these things can do that for us as well? Worth a try.”

”Once Nor picks up this box, let’s see what we can find.”

If there’s something on the ship that’ll let Abe re-pressurize the container, Abe will try that first.

Kcectic quietly follows the rest of the group as they make their purchases, he picks up an antitoxin for himself, in case there are things worse than Akata in their future, but otherwise buys nothing while he recoups from the events on the Acreon.

"I am curious to see if your extinguisher trick works." The bug says while looking over Dash and Abe's shoulders.

Things are a lot quieter after the goblin was drug away kicking and screaming. Several hours pass as Abe and crew wait for Ambassador Nor to arrive. Though he never arrives himself a small crew of cloaked undead move from the shadows to retrieve the box. Without saying a word they silently nod their approval and place small jet modifications along the corners. Igniting them the box lifts off of the ground where they push the box down a small deserted alley.

With the box gone the group is free to make a few more last minute purchases. Abe digs along the ship and finds a hydrocarbon propellant in aerosol cans. With a small bit of engineering Abe is able to give the fire extinguisher a small bit of pressure.

Turning a round Ambassador Nor is suddenly standing in the door way of the deck. The lifeless light flickers in his glowing eyes. "What did you find aboard the Acreon?"

"More vermin of space, those akatas. One would think that the civilized peoples of space would band together to eliminate both the threat and the nuisance," Vetch says, packing up his kit after tending to Abe.

"Might be more of them on the rock, so we should be aware. And that new pistol could help a lot."
