Former Swordthrust survivors and formally accepted players can conspire and talk out of game things. Strategy is fine here.
Those leveling up remember the +1 to an attribute. Those actually converting the Linnorm King's domains are:
Glory, Strength, War, Chaos, Destruction, Good and his favored weapon is the heavy flail.

GM Tribute, I was wondering, are we getting to keep the boots of climbing?
As far as Terion leveling up, I am unsure as to getting another ranger or fighter level - ranger nets me a combat style, which means I could go for natural combat and get nightvision (which is great) , or even claws (which are really good for a fighter with a reach weapon), and more skills.
Leveling as fighter doesn't really give me that much - Armor Training is actually better than I thought [with it, and since I am planning on putting my level 4 stat bump in Intelligence (I know, its crazy for a warrior, but I love skills) I end up getting a decent amount of skills, even bumping up stealth to an amazing +5 when wearing chainmal. Also, it DOES get me closer to fighter level 4, which means Spring Attack AND Whirlwind Attack - making Terion a really mean machine...
I'm still divided - thoughts?

GM Tribute |

All Morlean's enchantments die with him. The moment his mansion was leveled, the ring and boots cease to work. I do not know if natural combat style is core (I am not a fan of the noncore boon companion and natural combat style poaching on the druid's TURF)--I think core rangers are archers or two weapon styles. I can see looking into adding the sword and shield ranger style, as that seems very old school.
Terion, both options look good. I am a big fan of both rangers and fighters, and it is just a question of how you want to mix your chocolate and vanilla ice cream in your sundae. You could add some strawberry (barbarian!).

GM Tribute |

The module has the boots and ring be limited duration enchantments dismissable by Morlean. But the boots would be almost too handy in the Forgotten City.
So! let us say his sudden death left the boots with at least one charge each after which they become normal boots. They are a one time free action spider climb. You need at least one souvenir besides frostbite from Ferraburg.

Fornitado |

Fornitado is also updated and ready to go. This should be an interesting level for him. He may be having a crisis of fate (According to how things go), but is having a difficult time coming to grips with seeing a god form right before his eyes. Maybe he was meant to be there :-).

Terion Stoutheart |

An extra feat would be VERY nice - Terion is starting to become a quite respectable Fighter, if I do say so myself :D
@Cole: This is the spell I would suggest for you Cole :D
But then again you've got Protection from Evil, Bless, Magic Weapon, Divine Favor...
Edit: Who is the new guy?

Strang |

Checking in after a very tumultuous two days at work/school; I am still undecided about continuing to use Strang or use this opportunity between modules to explore what other classes have to offer. Tribute suggested a druid, but I can't say that appeals to me since the type of Druid I'd like to play (shape-shifter specialist) isn't available with Core rules only. I'm considering either bard or monk; at least a bard comes close to duplicating what my rogue could do.

Arvhil |

Hello all!! Thanks for inviting me into your game!! I hope Arvhil will be a good addition to the party. I am going to spend a bit of time looking over the thread and getting a feel for the background you guys have already played through! Please check him out and any suggestions would be welcome!!

Strang |

With the current roster,
Arvhil - Wizard 4 (Evoker)
Bizzlemont - Wizard 4 (Illusionist)
Cole - Paladin 4
Fornitado - Cleric 4
Terion - Fighter 3/Ranger 1
it seems that continuing as a rogue makes the most "sense" in terms of balancing the abilities of the party. This module may also be his time to shine in terms of finding/disabling traps! Character sheet has been updated accordingly.
Terion, Hero's Defiance is non-Core.

Strang |

Trying to remember if I let you guys have traits or not.
If you were forbidden traits, you get a bonus feat! It cannot be additional traits :-)
You gave us the bonus feat, particularly the best feat of all time: Luck of Heroes!

Terion Stoutheart |

Welcome aboard Arvhil - I guess elven wizard is as old school as can be - good choice. Feel free to peruse our heroic endeavours from before, we are carving a champion's path for us :D
@Strang: Right you are - it is damned good though.
I think we were entitled to chose which feat we wanted as a bonus?

GM Tribute |

Luck of heroes was only selectable on character creation AND first level (as was the intent in Neverwinter Nights). Our dwarven paladin used his extra feat to start a tripping paladin right away instead of taking it (combat expertise and improved trip). Think of it as a one-time option for those that started with the original group and required some deferred gratification.
So--if you were with the original N1 group, you had an option to grab luck of heroes at first level as a one time good deal. New characters and 'switching' characters can't select luck of heroes but still have an additional feat.
Quote from the N1 recruitment so long ago:
Players will select an extra feat at character creation and can include Luck of Heroes (inspired by Neverwinter Nights). Luck of Heroes can only be selected upon creation and grants +1 to all ACs (ff and touch too) and saves. The intent is to select at least one fighter type, one cleric, one magic-user, and one rogue. A fifth slot may be added to select a second fighter or for a bard or monk. Golarion deities will be used instead of Greyhawk dieties.

Terion Stoutheart |

Looking back, I should have taken that feat - would make perfect sense, mainly for a fighter (usually not starved for feats), but then again at the time I was planning on going Sword and Board style, and it is a little more demanding that 2h weapon crunchiness.
But oh well, what is done is done, so lets get this show on the road.
What is this I hear about level 5 feat thing - we have a decision on that yet?

GM Tribute |

The single native tribe was friendly with your sponsors (Lordship of Isles) and agreed to aid you. They are one tribe of many and were discovered leading you after being bribed to the forbidden lands. As your guides arrived and refused to trespass on the forbidden lands and you continued to the cave, an alliance of natives attacked your guides and drove them off.
There is no native that wants you to do anything. The Lordship of the Isles wants you to stop the pilfering of their trade. The Ice Titan also wants his influence expanded here and a friend of Morlean's stopped that operates here. With no one serving the Ice Titan, that hook is somewhat thin.
I think that was in the background. Posting in two threads I may think I posted that info in here and not done it. Plus your new addition has some information--I do not know if he has shared it all.

GM Tribute |

With my homebrews I had songs to play when appropriate--for PbPs I added song links when they were appropriate. A favorite of mine fit right in--so optional music links may occur at times if we continue.
To be upfront--I feel we are at a huge lull. The other group is posting 3x as much. I can force things along, but only so much.
Is there are a waning of interest here? I added background to a new PC and have to cut and paste it in and force it into the story by having it asked and repeated by a NPC.
When this happens, I call a roll call to see who is still in.

Strang |

I am very much interested in playing, especially as this module was rated as one of the best of all time. That said, I am aware that my posting is not as regular as may be desired - but I am making more of an effort since the end of Serpent God when this was trend was worst.
That said part two, all of us players need to be better about playing together to make the GM's job easier by giving him options. Try reading this to see what I mean, especially #1! This is something I'm trying to be better at as well.

GM Tribute |

First, I can push much more than a typical DM. But, when I push, PbP players have complained they were railroaded. I think Cole and Strang were in the 'Hey you put us in a wagon and next thing I know I'm fighting a troll' incident where I moved things along until a relevant encounter occurred. Some of the party wanted to roleplay the two day wagon ride I guess.
Sure, I can force you in canoes and make an arbitrary order, but there should be enough here to work with. I like that you examined the statue, but it is nothing special. I thought of making up a cool, irrelevant god, but I was worried it would further slow us down from moving along.

Fornitado |

I think we're all just a little "gun-shy" after our last debacle, and afraid we're going to miss something or do something wrong. It might take a bit to get our confidence back.
