I apologize. My PC would never sit back and watch while he and you are attacked by rats that you are trying to befriend. The extent of the experiment failed when they attacked. I do know that your PC would not have it any other way, though.
Kenna Icemane |
It's quite alright. Though Narnel will have to endure getting nothing but death-stares from Kenna for a week or two to come.
Kenna Icemane |
Do we have a map of the current area as far as we explored it? I want to make as informed a decision about the sleeping rats as I can.
Keaton Larroquette |
No idea about cade.
I do not want to take a short rest here. Keaton does not want to be down here any longer than he has to, and we are only one room in.
Narnel Falerathon |
That does not sound good...about Cade. I recommend just acting on his behalf for a little to give him some time, then writing him out, if he does not surface.
Kenna Icemane |
Hope Cade is okay. He might just have had something come up that is keeping him.
As for short rest, Kenna has almost 80 hit points on back order thanks to wild shape, so I really don't need it. I'd reather save that hour for when I need it to replenish those wild shape uses.
Ember Draymon |
Guys the short rest is a resource I feel we need to use. With Narnel on 7/17 Hp, one hit has a good chance of taking him down.
Now I (or Kenna, or Cade) could use a spell slot to heal him but doesn't it make sense to use this out of combat resource and save spell slots and potions for combat?
We can still short rest later to get spell slots (in Keaton's case), wild shapes and channel divinities back.
Keaton Larroquette |
If we are going to do a short rest can we leave the dungeon. We are two minutes into the underground monster infested labyrinth and we are about to sit down for an hour.
I am not opposed to stopping for a quick rest then restarting; but my character is trying to get people to leave since he does not want to be down here. Maybe we could even get some info from the town above. I am certain that if we went back up and announced to the town that there is a complex down here we could get some rumors. Or one of the priests of the all faith shrine will heal up Narnel quick so we can do some investigation for the town above.
There is a chance that we still have the advantage of surprising whatever is down here. It may find out that it's lair has been breached if we wait an hour to proceed. Or it comes across us during the hour and we lose the rest and advantage of surprise.
Molok Granite Fist |
I just underwent further eye surgery and will not be able to make large posts, or may be slow in posting (I can only use my ipad). So please either bot me, or I will try to post. I am also move to a new job in a few weeks, so that is playing merry havoc with things here as well. Moving far north into the Northwest Territories. Should have internet on arrival. Thanks ans sorry for the delays
Narnel Falerathon |
It appears as if Ember and Narnel are in favor of a short rest. Keaton is not. We need the rest to weigh in before we either move forward without or after the rest.
Keaton Larroquette |
To clarify, indifferent about taking a rest. I just do not want to do it in the dungeon.
DM Asmodeus |
I am now concerned for the health of this game. It seems we are missing Cade and Vaneros, Molok is out with a health issue that I can totally understand.
How does everyone wish to proceed? I mean we have been in the same room for over a week and nothing seems to have gotten accomplished.
Do we need to re-recruit? End it? Continue?
Keaton Larroquette |
I am very much enjoying the game and would like to continue, even if we must recruit.
DM Asmodeus |
Well I do believe we will be fine on player count. We have 5.
Ember, Molok, Narnel, Kenna and Keaton.
Everyone go ahead and post what you are gaining from the short rest in the game thread and we will move forward.
Once you are ready to continue south post here to let me know. Once I have heard from all 5 of you then I will move the game forward.
Vaneros was carrying both the wand of magic missiles and the driftglobe. We will need to assign them to someone else.
Narnel Falerathon |
I agree with Keaton, I too am enjoying the game and am ready to continue. I have already posted my HD recovery from the short rest in the GP thread. I am ready to move south.
Keaton Larroquette |
I will get my spell slot back with the short rest.
May I carry the Wand of Magic Missiles?
Does it require attunement? If so could I of done that instead of Cade last night?
Who wants the drift globe?
Kenna Icemane |
I'm definitely sticking around as well. Which should come as no surprise since I also joined your game on TTW.
DM Asmodeus |
We have continued the game forward thanks to Kenna. Just a reminder that you should be posting no less that once per day Monday through Friday.
So we currently have five players. Which I am fine with, however if you want to recruit extra players then you are free to post a recruitment thread and make a decision on such as a group as a party.
Right now I need for everyone to do their part on making this campaign work. It only works when we participate as a group to move the narrative forward. It is a team effort.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
I have to admit level 2 moon druids are grossly overpowered for their level. I don't think a fighter would have survived this as long as I have, though the wild shape power doesn't scale nearly as well through higher levels, so I think it will be less egregious at higher levels.
