The minotaur is beaten back by the barrage of blinding blasts and bastard swords. The bull-headed tower steps backward, but, still entangled, he falls to the ground and his skull cracks against a rock on the ground. The minotaur's chest stops its ragged heaving and the beast falls silent.
Holy battles, Batman! That was quick.
Lore Defender rips off her mask so she can breath and says, "That was reckless, dangerous, and if you hadn't done it, I would have probably be dead. I owe you my life." She sits on the ground near the stream and drinks a few handfuls of water before speaking again.
"Well, now that you've seen what I've been doing. What did you find inside the cave?"
The party regales Lore Defender with their tales of derring-do. The story of the gillman and the puzzles of the shrine especially pique her interest.
After returning to the caves so that Lore Defender can make her own sketches of the petraglyphs, you encounter the gillman who is extremely thankful of your successful cleansing of the undead within the cave.
After finding a good place to spend the night and camp, the group makes their way back to the great city of Absalom.
Back at the Grand Lodge you encounter Master of Scrolls Kreighton Shaine who inquires about your findings and asks to read any notes or see any sketches you all have made. "Best to write these things down while they're still fresh in your mind. Every little detail matters sometimes. Even what you had for breakfast that day... what did I have for breakfast... Eggs? No... Toast? No... Hrm..." Master Shaine ponders for a moment, completely lost in thought before suddenly exlaiming, "Besides! This cave is a long lost shrine of Aroden. What do you think we should call it? Hmm? You are the first known explorers to traverse its depths and by all rights the honors go to you."
We're done. I'll have chronicles posted tomorrow night. Concluding thoughts and RP?
Make sure that you post your info in the discussion thread! Also, go post over in the Playtest Feedback thread I created with your thoughts.
