So how badly are the storms affecting you down there Aubs?

We've been pretty lucky so far, but off to south wales for a week on Monday, so may get a bit battered down there!

It's not too bad here in the Midlands, but my mum and dad live on the Welsh borders (just on the English side by about a mile) near Hereford and their village is pretty badly affected by flooding. We were going to see them this weekend and they told us it wasn't worth it right now. That said, next week is supposed to be a bit better than this week.

Yeah, we've had two of the three incoming. Going to take a while to get back to normal I expect though.

My Skull & Shackles game died, and I have decided to scrap it and start over with Mummy's Mask. As such I have started an invite only recruitment thread, and everyone here is encouraged to apply to the game. I still have a few players from the previous game, so am only looking for 2 players. I may possibly need up to 4, based on whether all my S&S players are staying or not, in order to get a 6 person team.

I know nothing about Pathfinder. I haven't touched 3E since 4E came out... I'm afraid I might be lost.

(Which makes it really difficult on these boards since there are so few 4E games - I understand why... it's just a shame there are so few)

What do I need to do to update her - anything fancy other than making her level 2?

No, not really. Level her up and we'll think of something.

We left her back at Altaruk, are we too far/too many encounters away to either pick her back up when we return or for her to have followed?

On closer inspection, Irivis is already level 2.

The problem is primarily one of continuity as her out with Calla and co was that they went on to Tyr without you guys. But that's a trivial issue we can address when you get back to Altaruk. Any ideas?

Not until I've finished reading the thread. Will think about it. Knowing Irivis, it will have been some trivial reason blown up out of all proportion to its actual importance.

I was thinking about this. From memory, Irivis was involved in the Tyrian underground but welched out bfore the revolution. Calla and her sidekick (whose name escapes me) have headed back to Tyr with Grandma's map. However, while we assumed Irivis headed back with them, perhaps she has had second thoughts about going to Tyr and is currently hanging about in Altaruk waiting for something to turn up.

Seems quite likely to me. Irivis (probably) isn't exactly persona non grata in Tyr, but she's be unlikely to want to go there in any way that might get her noticed. Calla and Gorad weren't a particularly discreet pairing.

By the way, it's worth mentioning that we're all level 3 now (a few hundred shy of level 4)... so Irivis may still need to be bumped up, assuming Aub wants to keep the whole party the same level.

OK, let's assume Irivis is hanging round the flop house the characters used thinking of her next move. She can constructively bump into the other PCs there and the reunion will be complete. It would be nice if this could happen before the party go back to see their mysterious benefactors so she's in the loop on this stuff.

She's ready to go. I'm guessing she hasn't picked up any nifty kit since she's been away so I left her with what she had.

Brutally tough competition (you'd expect no less from the championships, really), but we're hanging in there.

It was a wild weekend. My kids did great. We didn't have the highest record, but the contest really is about what you learn and how you play.

In the end, we finished in the top 30 out of 277 teams... and we were picked to head to the World Championships next weekend: 400 teams, 60 countries... LOTS of robots :)
It's going to be a riot (and I'll be in and out of communication a bit next week, lol)

top 30 of almost 300, that is roughly top 10% depending on your actual place. nothing to scoff at.

that said, going to the WORLD championships probably feels like payoff enough to those kids. i know it would have for me as a kid... or even now. hahaha

So this morning my computer decided to go all screwy on me. I didn't have time to troubleshoot so I'll be looking at it tonight. I'm hoping it's something minor but wanted to give a heads up if I don't post that's why.
