Doubt about the 5-foot step

Rules Questions

Today, the GM, using a full attack, did the following... attacked one character, took a 5-foot step, and then continued the attack on two other characters. The enemy was a monk, and as far as I remember, there’s a special feat that allows for this, but the GM said no... however, they couldn’t find a rule that says so. So the question is… could they do this without a feat? Attack, take a 5-foot step, and then continue their attack?"

This is the PF2 rules forum, you want the PF1 rules forum here

As for your question, it's completely valid to take a five foot step in the middle of a full attack https://www.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=146

The only movement you can take during a full attack is a 5-foot step. You may take the step before, after, or between your attacks.

This is actually the PF1 forum. The link you shared leads to the Pathfinder card game forum.

This is allowed both by the full attack description linked by Red Metal and by the 5' step rules themselves.

You can move 5 feet in any round when you don't perform any other kind of movement. Taking this 5-foot step never provokes an attack of opportunity. You can't take more than one 5-foot step in a round, and you can't take a 5-foot step in the same round that you move any distance. You can take a 5-foot step before, during, or after your other actions in the round.

Emphasis mine. A full attack is a full round action. You can take a 5' step before, during, or after your full round action.

The thread was started in the PF2e Rules forum before being moved to the PF1e Rules forum

Ah. Gotcha. Is there a way I could see that or did you just see it over there and then over here?

i just happened to see it when it was originally posted: I don't think there is any way to tell after it has been moved...

5ft step sucks! How about half movement speed with a full round action? I think it's more cinematic. Just saying.
