In your opinion what is the best...
...ancestry
...archetype
...class
...equipment
...feat
...magical item
...spell

...or whatever other classification you'd like to pick from, and why do you happen to think so? (Your reasons are yours, and so can be anything; be it the cool factor, strong mechanics, fun memories using it in play, etc.)

Please start every post with "[Character option] is/are the best [category] because..."

For example: Flails are the best weapon group because they tend to have lots of versatile traits, look absolutely brutal, and have some nasty crit effects.

Humans are the best ancestry due to having all manner of "blank check" ancestry feats that not only are more flexible, but outright more powerful due to "trading up" for more valuable options.

While the extra class feat and dedication feat are obvious mentions, imo the Adapted Cantrip is the best example for this claim of absurd Human privilege.

There are a lot of ancestry feats granting a cantrip, but almost all of them either off a set list of selections, or are locked to a specific spell tradition.

Human has those as well, via Arcane Tattoo & Dragon Spit, but Adapted Cantrip is just a blank check for *any* cantrip from another tradition. It doesn't even say "common cantrip." No issues with using mis-matched innate casting, nothing like that. It's perfectly written to enable poaching that one cantrip you wish you had from another tradition.

.

To be honest, after my first PC took Adopted Ancestry to gain access to Human, it's going to be super hard to justify any future PC leaving that power on the table. It's so damn potent and helpful to a build, even with the feat tax to enable it.

Only real reason I might do something else in the future tbh is if there's another ancestry feat I need more, like an Alchemist who wants to use bows going for Elf's due to it being one of the only ways to get the class proper marital weapon prof scaling (and even crit specialization w/ the same feat!).

Witch is the best class because you always have your familiar with you each morning no matter what.

PF2 is the best system for a mechanically-heavy combat-centric game because it's so hard to find something that is objectively the best at anything.

Dark Archive

Archetype- hard to beat acrobat, at least for the dedication feat. Scaling skill proficiency is worth a level 2 class feat a lot of the time, even without Free Archetype. Maybe even especially without FA.

lightning is the best element because chainlightning.
Because d12s are fun.
Also its better when lightning is blue.
Also better when lighting is generated from one’s hand instead of a cloud.

The best thing for your character to experience is to crush their enemies, see those enemies driven before them, and to hear the lamentations of the enemies' women.

I think objectively, 20 is the best outcome of a d20 roll when you roll, and the worst when they are rolling it against you.

The best background magical item is a Wig of Holding. It let's you keep four different bulk L items in four separate one L 'pockets'. I tend to keep a light weapon, 10 arrows, a healing potion and a misc potion in mine.

Can I interest you in a 4th lvl spells called "Draw the Lightning"? You beckon thunder from the sky AND keep some in your hand for 1 minute.

I just checked it. It is legit. It has d12's.

Truly the most fun of all dice.

As for the main topic... Dandy is clearly the best archetype, though I'm sure the celebrity will disagree.

Yeah ever since I learned of the spell I've had some theory crafting on how to build around the spell. Small race, melee class for the melee hits. Magus seems best, but there are many route. You can get the spell on a jolt coil at lvl 12. If you want to go unarmed you can get the lvl 1 wooden fist spell for 1d6 magical 10ft reach unarmed. Knight Reclaimers got "for love, for lightning" focus spell if you got a nice gm.

There's other ways to stack it all together but you can get a ton of lightning damage if you're clever about it.
