We know War is coming, but who do you think is going to be fighting?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

While yes this can be talking about the War of Immortals, I’m more focusing on the mortal side, as noted during the reveal stream two classes are getting play tested, that are forged in the wars that spread across Golarion.

Therefore, who do you think is getting into an open war?

I mean clearly we’re seeing what might end hii ok being longstanding hostilities with the Verduran forest and its neighbors with Wardens of Wildwood, I’m thinking we’re going to be seeing another Glorious Reclamation or rather Andoran and Cheliax finally cutting loose and commit to the war that’s been building up between them since the start of 2E.

A Brevic Civil War similarly seems primed to finally begin in Ernest particularly with the demise of one of their central deities.

I think there is going to be a serious scramble for mythic power as it rains down from the sky and you are going to see worshipers of gods that have not previously had cause for hostility. As one example, I think Cheliax and Nidal could come to blows, or at least worshipers of Asmodeus and Zon Kuthon making grabs for power that cross existing political lines.

I think the Kelish Empire could be dragged into some stuff too

There's been some daydreaming about what a dragon-focused Book of the Dead-alike might look like in PF2, and that could be a fun release to pair with Choral coming back/a SHTF situation in Brevoy.

3rd edition's Draconomicon was a pretty stellar piece of work that really felt like you were holding a bestiary of dragons replete with anatomical diagrams, ecology notes, and identification. It may have been over a decade ago I first read it, but at the time it had made me fall back in love with dragons.

Golarion is not a world that has quite as much to do with the affairs of dragons overall, but I wouldn't necessarily say no to a Paizo-quality take on dragons, especially with the remaster's big shakeup of dragons leaving a lot of room to reupholster the canon with a fresh canvas.

Or so Szuriel wishes.
