Tian Xia Character guide ancestries

So a while ago they released all the ancestries that will be in howl of the wild, the centaur, Minotaur, etc. Have they released a full list of those ancestries in the Tian Xia Character guide? I know the product page has a few, Samsauran, Tanuki, but are all six revealed yet? I seem to recall Oni was one, but I can't tell if that's just me misremembering.

Oni is not among the new ancestries, but the old oni-blood tiefling is being released as its own heritage because Oni are no longer fiends and so don't fit into the nephilim wheelhouse.

The three ancestries you are looking for are the the Sarangay, the Yaksha, and the Yaoguai. Water buffalo with magic forehead pearls, rakshasa-hating devotees, and uplifted animals/plants/rocks like the monkey king.

So Oni will be a versatile heritage? Does it give you the giant type finally? Can pathfinder finally have a 'giant' race?

Oh, and thanks for all the info!

I don't know if Oni will count as giants. I believe they are described as a type of malevolent spirit (though maybe not "Spirit"?).

On a technical note, the versatile heritage is called Hungerseed--same as the old tiefling name for oni-spawn. They are not fully oni, but the descendents thereof. Perhaps you took this meaning already, but a little clarification never hurts.

We've seen a picture of one of the oni in the Monster Core blog from I think last month.

Hungerseed are half-Oni. In the Pre-Remaster content, they were a type of Tiefling (since Oni were a type of Fiend) and would have been a lineage like the others have been. Since Oni in the Remaster are essentially corrupted Kami and are Unholy Spirits instead of Fiends, Hungerseed now get their own Versatile Heritage to themselves.

Are Oni otherplanar?
if so a person with Oni heritage could fit into the nephilim category even if they are not considered fiends.

In 1e despite being Outsiders, oni were listed as "native" outsiders meaning they were spirits that arose from the matter and energy or the material plane, now called the Universe. In 2e most native outsiders have transitioned to different creature types, including collecting a couple different tags to describe what formerly could only be one.

Ah ok. Then they would be a different thing. Thats cool too. not everything needs to fit in the same box

So I have my pdf of monster core Onis have the humanoid and giant tags. Some of them have other tags. Only one of them has the unholy tag.

Edit: I forget how much people are allowed to say. I don't think any of this is too specific. But if it is I'll take it down.

Second edit: and their is a distinct Oni tag if I am remembering correctly.

People elsewhere on the forums are blasting out spoilers like no tomorrow, so there's no worries. Just don't exactly copy/paste entire statblocks or lore drops, and you'll be fine.

Can anyone find a source for this? Just want to double check that the Oni-Heritage is coming out in the character guide, and I can't find it on the Paizo blog or in the description for the Tien Xia Character guide.

Happy coincidence, I just saw this and happen to remember roughly where I saw it. Unfortunately a quick search isn't revealing a link directly to the stream but the inimitable Magic-Sword has posted screenshots on reddit which show the hungerseed as mentioned in that stream.

Found the stream, it is the lunar new year stream:

Lunar New year stream set to time they talk about the Hunger seed

Thanks Sibelius Eos Owm for setting me on the right path.
