Level 2
Beastmaster Dedication

+ Hieghtened Summon Animal

Turn 1 riding my wolf the druid summons a wolf to go with his two wolf animal companions

Turn 2 3 command animal actions to give your wolves a command: "run up and bite that guy!"
each of the three wolves run up. The first one bites for 1d8 +trip
the second and third wolves bite for 1d8+1d4 +trip

Turn 3 command animal action: "bite that guy twice!"

------

Is this allowed by rules and if it is, is it minmaxing or flavorful to build this awesome goblin wolf shaman and his two riding wolves and sometimes also a third wolf of crazy bitey wolfpack who becomes more and more useless after level 4?

is that allowed by rules, and is it fun?

Sorry, but there are a few things wrong with this

First
"As a beastmaster, it's possible for you to have more than one animal companion at one time—up to four companions—but only one of those companions, your “active companion,” follows you during exploration and in encounters; the rest are nearby, usually foraging or hunting for food."

So there's no "two wolf animal companions" in an encounter at once

Second
You don't gain access to 2nd rank spells until 3rd level, so heightening summon animal doesn't become available until then

Third
Animal companion wolves don't have knockdown (now changed to takedown with the remaster) until you gain their advanced maneuver, which comes from their nimble or savage upgrade, available at level 8. They also don't have the +1d4 to damage against foes in range of 2 allies that summoned wolves get. They may attempt the trip action itself but it's not part of their jaws attack

The creature ability Knockdown itself is no longer automatic with the remaster

Knockdown and takedown both cost an action, taken after a successful jaws strike. So they may Stride up and Strike, but not knockdown or takedown on the same turn

Other than those details, unless I'm missing anything, coordinating your minions' attacks like that seems legit

It is possible to get 3 minions out at level 2 but you need to be witch for cackle so you can cast 2 summon spells without 1 fading from not being able to sustain it.

And the end result wouldn't be particularly powerful anyway.

Another option is to have a companion of some sort, such as an animal companion, casting a summoning spell yourself, and having a familiar. If you really need three minions capable of combat, there is the Spirit Guide familiar, or give the familiar the Spellcasting ability and a summoning spell that they can cast and sustain on their own.

I don't think that actually qualifies as combat capable. I may be able to hit enemies better than that, and that is with a rule explicitly preventing me from trying.

I wonder if I can build a Summoner with a Witch dedication to get Cackle, Beastmaster for an Animal Companion and an eidolon with Magical Adept to cast a Summon spell.

I think a Familiar cannot cast a Summon though because it takes 3 actions to cast.

A Witch could technically do it by using Coven spell on the familiar and spending he 1/day quickened casting on that.

Not sure so many resources for a level 0 summon at level 11 is worthwhile though^^

Several problems with a familiar casting a summoning spell:

Minions have at most 2 actions, and all summoning spells take 3 actions.

Minions cannot have their own minions. Last line of the Minion trait: "A minion can't control other creatures."

So you could theoretically have a companion, a familiar and a summoned creature, spend all three of your actions commanding them, and do nothing else yourself. Very few familiars have any relevant combat abilities. Summoned creatures are generally 3-4 levels below the spellcaster that summoned them. Animal companions are nice, but their combat stats are 1-3 levels below their master's level. So it's a moot point what you plan to do with your zoo.

For the mere number of bodies, I believe the Summoner MC Witch with Cackle and Beastmaster Dedication can put on the map :

Themselves
Their eidolon
A Summon from their eidolon that it Sustains
A Familiar
An Animal Companion
A Summon they Sustain normally
A Summon they Sustain with Cackle

That makes a nice crowd of 7 creatures. Though pretty useless in a fight.

Not that close to the topic, but still: PFS would limit even that. They allow 2 tokens not counting temporary (summons). So only one of eidolon, companion and familiar is allowed (familiar can be in the char's square without a token).
