Great, they go and nab a spaceship and what do they do? Fly straight to the Sun.

Well I'm just being crabby: two of them are natives.

So I'm wondering: Any APs take place amidst the bubble cities?

Take a look at Dawn of Flame, that's the sun-based AP. Lots of interesting intra-stellar locations.

i assume you mean "intra-solar" locations?

played the first 2 books, and they were both bangers.

If you're looking for something a bit shorter than a full six-volume AP, then Bounty 09: Burning Ambitions just came out! It's written for level 4 characters (although it wouldn't be too hard to adjust skill check DCs and combat stats up or down too much) and only takes 1 - 1.5 hours to play through.

There are also a couple of short Starfinder adventures that take place in low solar orbit: SFS #1-07: The Solar Sortie (levels 1-4) and Bounty #1: The Cantina Job (level 1).
