Gear for a Society Monk

Advice

Grand Lodge

Greetings all, I know the dichotomy of gear has changed from 1e to 2e and Monks are the perpetual underdogs of the martial classes in the game. Still, I have a lvl 4 monk in society play, plenty of achievement points and gold to afford her some new gear. She already has some +1 Striking Handwraps, so my question is- What kind of equipment should I look into investing my achievement points to unlock those "curated lists from [Book X]" categories; or just normally available gear?

Also, would that aeon stone that gives characters the Shield spell be worthwhile, if i also use a Bo staff/Tonfas for the Parry ability?

For Aeon Stones, Pearly White Spindle is always appealing. The shield one doesn't offer much if you're using a parry weapon I feel.

Pick up a Cat's Eye Elixir for dealing with concealment (and maybe some other contingency plans in consumable form), grab some worn items that boost your skill checks. Pendant of the Occult grants Guidance as an innate cantrip, which is always nice. (Can't recall what the arcane hat gives offhand).

Liberty's Edge

If you use maneuvers, an Athletics item is good.

+10 for Cat's eye elixir.

The Shield stone is good for the Shield block reaction. Especially when slotted in a wayfinder.

Healing potions.

Scrolls of Primal spells (Longstrider, Ant Haul, Heal, Air walk ...) after taking Trick Magic Item and Assurance (Nature).

Antidote and Antiplague.

Healer's Gloves.

Greater eye slash if you aren't holding out for goggles of night.

Skill boosting items for whatever your primary skills are

Belt of good health, however you might access that in pfs

Goz mask in case you get anyone that likes fog
