The folks at the AbadarCorp Entertainment Central Warehouse do not seem to have shipped my order yet, so please anticipate a day or so delay while I take this up with customer support.

Paging Space Admiral J'Shun Kay first son of Clan Summersword, House Davion, line of Atsu, born in fire. Would Space Admiral J'Shun Kay first son of Clan Summersword, House Davion, line of Atsu, born in fire please proceed to the administration office to provide some missing documents?
That's never going to fit on the chronicle with that font size
J'Shun Kay |
"SPACE ADMIRAL J'SHUN KAY FIRST SON OF CLAN SUMMERSWORD, HOUSE DAVION, LINE OF ATSU, BORN IN FIRE! REPORTING FOR DUTY SIR."
Don't forget the exclamation point after fire!

For those of you that want in on 6-11 starting at the end of the month (and which will probably having a slightly slow pace over the festive holidays), please take a moment to sign up on the 'sneak preview' sheet:
Sign-ups for upcoming scenarios
I'll post this on in open recruitment next Thursday!
---
The new scenarios for Feb and Mar have been announced. Plenty of good fun, and a Tier 11-14 scenario for March! I still have to add them to the sneak preview sheet, I'll tell you when sign-ups are added.

It's starting to look like I might need a new PC - running out of available PCs in the 1-4 range.
GM Aerondor |
I made that conclusion about six months ago. But with SFS v2 coming out next year... I was also thinking I might save my character ideas.
Actually, thinking about v2 I was wondering about making characters based on my SFSv1s hirelings... and then when they get hirelings, using my SFSv1 characters as them :-)
DM Kludde |
Ooph, Death of Kortus IV is kind of bleak... o_O
The scenario after this one should be a bit more upbeat
Roquefort Camembert |
Nah I am liking this scenario, it makes a pleasant change of pace to be back to some grittiness.
Fair warning, Roquefort has been pretty damaged by his experiences with creatures from the dark tapestry, is infected with a demonic blood-curse, and ended up training with the assassins of Lao Sho Po on the Executioner's Nest post Shades of Spite - he sees humans the way humans see a lab-rat, mostly cute but prolific and highly expendable. He thinks First Seeker Leszok might have had a few good points.
It's a good thing he's reaching the end of his career.
Scottybobotti |
Great scenario for sure. Feels like one long epic action scene from a Marvel movie. Definitely a perfect scenario for J'Shun. I like the realism in it also.

If Volitare is ready in time I could play them, otherwise I could play a level 1 Raia pregen.
DM Kludde |
Death of Kortus
The poem is There will come soft rains by Sara Teasdale, to which I was introduced through the short Uzbekfilm cartoon of the same name.
With that, we reach the end of this scenario... what a ride! Can you all roll day jobs, please?
DM Kludde |
Gift Ungiven
I know that Volitare is occupied currently, but if they manage to come in before we roll the 'know-before-you-go' and move on, just swap out characters.
DM Kludde |
In the new year I'd have some more capacity for season 5 scenarios. If I go down the list, does any of 5-09, 5-10, or 5-11 interest you guys?
phaeton_nz |
5-11 Yes - The other two have been played or are in progress.
Scottybobotti |
@Dm Kludde how about some classics from season 1. I'd love to replay some of the scenarios I last played in when they were first released. Cries from the Drift, A Night in Nightarch, and The Solar Sortie are some I remember distinctly.

I was already recruiting for the Solar Sortie, because cmlobue asked for it, not sure if you saw that one.
I've been trying to get players for the Season 1 games, but with some mixed results (presumably because a lot of people played them already). I'll put 5-11 on the list and some oldies.
I've created a list to keep track of what people are looking for: here. I'm not looking for everybody to fill out the full thing (it doesn't even have all scenarios yet!), but if you want you can indicate the games you're still looking to play. It should give an idea of where I can find enough players to run a table :-)
Don't worry about the formatting, it's inevitable it gets messed up after a while.

I'm still looking for Skitter Home followed by Skitter Warp

@DM Kluddle. Is there anything that you are specifically looking to play?

Good point, I had forgotten about those. I'll put those in rotation.
Your sheet is not editable...
That was a rookie mistake, and it's fixed now.

I'm currently really enjoying my exploration of Elytrio with the worst pilot in the universe!
When I was running 6-08, I thought it would be the kind of space horror that is great to inflict on Momo. I'm also trying to get a higher level GM blob together so I have something for the 8+ range.

I signed up! The Solar Sortie was the first Starfinder Society I every played and it was also the first time I ever played Starfinder!
DM Kludde |
Thanks Luke for filling out the missing scenarios!
I've added a sign-up for the two Skitter games here. Those pdfs are cursed, though, really slow on my pc.
I still need 1-06, 1-07 and 1-08, 1-10 and 1-11
I took the liberty of putting your name on the sheet and checking these scenarios.

I'll put 6-08 on my 'to GM next' list once I've finished the two tables of PFS2 5-01 or one of my SFS tables.
On the spreadsheet, in my column I've put 'G' for those I intend to GM in the near future.
All the repeatables now have a greenish colour background on their name.

Cool, thanks for that. If you want, I can change the icon on my 6-08 sign-up and add a big 'run by phaeton_nz' banner on it?
Did you get enough players for 6-12 in the end?
phaeton_nz |
I haven't actually started advertising for players yet. I'll put links up for the spreadsheets soon though.
As for 6-12, I'm wanting to finish the other two first so they're assigned in order.

DM Kludde |
Yeah ok I admit it is a pet hate of mine that we're now 6 season in and the scenario designers are still bamboozled by the idea that the average Starfinder has environmental seals. Happens with a range of Pathfinderisms that they keep incorporating which are jarringly out of place in a sci-fi setting (like walking everywhere, dealing with mundane cold environments, and apparent total lack of GPS).
Yeah, well. Zoey would have a hard time singing if she kept that seal up all day, but tend to agree.
There' not much in this scenario that seems to be tuned to hard mode, to say the least, so I'm just going to go with 'the DC is that low because it factors in seals'.
In general, I think the starfinder design of 'all armor protects against everything' is a bit of a missed chance to differentiate light/heavy armor a bit more, and make armor generally more interesting.
DM Kludde |
And yes, you may as well add my link to your signup of 6-08.
Neat, signed up with Momo (I've got nothing legal for 6-04...)!
Shifty |
It's just Pathfinder designers who haven't really thought about Starfinder , and they port over a bunch of concepts and game-isms without really thinking it through. I see it regularly and it just irks me.
What gets me is we will be in SF2 and they will do it again all over ;p
Luke_Parry |
Well, there is at least one scenario out there were they make you get the full 'PF1 experience' by insisting that you have your environmental seals 'turned off' as you are replicating a sacred 'cultural experience'...
...but I accept that one, since they at least realised that environmental seals would trivialise all of hazards that scenario has you deal with :-P
GM Aerondor |
Lets not forget about the shoe on the other foot: Environmental seals continue to work after you have taken damage from a laser, disintegrator pistol or greatsword....
