Hey folks, this is a formatting guide that I've put together for people who are looking into writing class or other guides for PF2e. Things to keep in mind for colors, including templates you can copy and paste and fill in!
I've only written up to the ancestries section at this point, but I think it's valuable to show to other people now, because it's probably going to take me a while to get to the rest, and the templates are going to start looking pretty similar. The document so far already has a lot of the important points I wanted to get across about color, readability, formatting, and general usability. Hopefully y'all find it as useful as I hope, and feel free to comment ideas, and use this for new and existing guides alike!

I've since updated it to include sections on backgrounds and class feats.
Copy-pasting my note to writers of already-existing guides:
If you like a lot of what this document says, but really don't like the idea of going through your entire guide to update it with these changes, let me know! I'd be happy to make a copy of your guide and implement what you want to take away from this, then send that copy back to you.

I do like what you have done. I have already taken some of the ideas on board. I do intend to move to Purple (★★★★★) instead of Sky Blue. Actually I had to be pushed to do a 5th rating anyway. But I'm not in a rush to do a lot of reformating. Maybe I'll do some more tables.
Will take some time...
Thanks.

Gah! After a while I didn't notice this thread had responses! So sorry!
Is there a fast way to change **** to ★★★★ and set/retain the colour? Or do I have to dive into Google Docs scripting?
I think find and replace could do that. "Ctrl + H" to open the find and replace menu. I'd suggest only telling it to find and replace one star character, that way it'll get all of them.
I always use the document outline on the left panel. How do I make that available in the published document to viewers?
I use it all the time, but I noticed it is off by default in the published doucment. So I ended up putting it in the document as a menu.
Sadly I'm not sure how to turn the left TOC column on in a published document. Tried looking for instructions, but couldn't find any that acknowledged that this happens.
To everyone else: Thank you for the compliments!

That doesn't retain colour.

Ah, damn. I imagine it's a mostly manual process then.

Thanks a lot for the guide, I already implemented some of your readability tips on my Bard and Ranger ones. I'm currently trying to remake the index since the one they had originally got deleted for some reason. I have no idea how it works currently with google docs, would appreciate some help figuring that out.
Edit: Nvm, found the issue 2 minutes after posting this
