Removing Fatigue

Advice

Hi Everyone!

About to start a new campaign and I find I may be suffering from fatigue a lot (Flumfire Rage on sorceress/wizard)!

I can't really do much to bump up the chances I won't fail the fort save, so I was looking at less expensive ways to remove fatigue. Sadly, everything I could find with my google-powers and forum searching is all 5+ years old. Surely somewhere there is a spell, or alchemical item, or cheap magic item, that just removes fatigue a couple of times a day rather than forking over 300 gp for a lessor restoration potion every time.

Please note, I can't become immune or I lose the benefit of the feat. I'm fairly certain my GM will also rule anything that avoids fatigue (like the Cords of Stubborn Resolve) is effectively immunity to it.

Thanks!

The Exchange

-Do you not have any divine party members who are willing to learn/memorize the spell for you?

-Although it’s cheesy, you can ask your GM if you can buy potions/wands from a paladin crafter. It’s only a 1st-level spell for her

-At 7th level your wizard can take the Faith Magic discovery and prepare lesser restoration himself.

Fatigue has always been somewhat difficult to remove as it is a major limit on the use of Rage and similar class features.

Generally speaking, you probably should be searching for 'rage cycling' because these are the threads that will discuss what does and doesn't work for preventing or eliminating fatigue.

The tricks I remember offhand include:

  • Invigorate - Very vague on how it works (what is a penalty? What isn't?) and not something everyone has access to (bard 1, medium 1, mesmerist 1, psychic 1, skald 1)
  • Scarlet and Green Cabochon (Flawed) Ioun Stone - The 'drawback' makes you sickened instead of fatigued, which is generally worse but allows you to keep using abilities (like rage) that can't be used when fatigued.
  • Pale Green Prism (Normal) Ioun Stone - When placed in a Wayfinder, this allows you to remove fatigue (as a free action, no less) twice per day, but it certainly ain't cheap...

Thank you both.

For Anyone in a similar position, I found (either from other posts or just looking) a few solutions:

Human Trait: Heart of the Field (Negate the first instance fatigue 1/day)

Feat: Country Born Local (Negate fatigue 1/day)

Feat: Believer's Boon (Select the Restoration Domain for remove fatigue 1/day)

Familiar Archetype: Emissary (Familiar gains 1/day domain ability, once again take restoration domain)

Halfling Only Item (or a human with Racial Heritage): Alchemical Preserves (removes fatigue for 50gp)
> I would like to note that this is a silly item that shouldn't be limited to halflings consider the dozen of races that would be more than capable of eating their stupid jam without issues.

I personally took Country Born Local and then the Emissary Familiar. For extra cheese I swapped out their feat for Believer's Boon too, and now I have a little emotional support lemming familiar.

A wand of Lesser Restoration costs 90gp/chg (4500gp total, if you go the "not stinky cheese route" suggested above), if you have someone to use it.

One level of cleric with the Community domain. Calming touch lets you remove fatigued, shaken, and sickened conditions 3 + Wis mod times per day.

Well, you could just find a way to get the Endurance feat through one way or the other. It offers a hefty +4 to saves to avoid fatigue. If you are playing a sorcerer, I'm fairly sure that feats on a few bloodlines that you can nab as a bonus feat.

Otherwise, potions, scrolls, or a wand of Lesser Restoration and some ranks in UMD will get you far.

Elves have a racial alternative ability that gives them +4 on saves against fatigue, too. It's called Desert Runner, and I've been using it for the Acadamae Graduate feat.
