Reporting RotR after a while?

Liberty's Edge

I ran Return of the Runelords and finished a few months ago. Would I be able report it even if my players are not in PFS?

Liberty's Edge

Wait, I just realized Return is still not sanctioned? I can't find the chronicle sheets.

Interesting. The chronicles should be on the product page for each book. It looks like it was never sanctioned.

RotR was never sanctioned, and will never be sanctioned unfortunately. But if it ever did get sanctioned, you shouldn't report games that occurred before the sanctioning rules came out, in case there's something in there that is required for reporting.

Do you have a link for that?

Last staff statement I can find is from October 2020, where they say in a blog post " The team is also currently working through Tyrant’s Grasp and will begin to look at the still unsanctioned APs in the coming weeks."

I think Cordell is being realistic that anything related to 1e is not likely to get sanctioned now.

There is no official post that I have seen saying that.

In any case, I was reading over the rules about also reporting for Rise of the Runelords, which IS sanctioned. I ran it a couple of years ago and now I'm playing it in Campaign Mode. It seems I can get credit for it both times, but just not on the same character, right?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Yes, you can get credit once for running and once for playing.

The Organized Play folks have consistently said that it will be sanctioned, though they've never provided a clear timeline for doing so (which is partly understandable given the whole pandemic craziness).

FWIW, I would be more than a little disappointed if they go back on these promises (not that my disappointment will have any great effect on anything, anywhere).

Ok I do find, after much looking (Why has Paizo made it so hard to find the 1e Additional Resources!!! Very frustrating.), that Return of the Runelords content has been Sanctioned but I don't see any chronicles.

So without chronicles, I don't see how credit can been taken.

@soulvova, can you link the sanctioning document for Return of the Runelords?

Liberty's Edge

Sorry Gary, I thought it was available but haven't find the sheet either.

I guess I'll be looking at reporting Rise of the Runelords instead. As I have never done it before, I'm not sure how to, especially as none of my players had/have Society IDs. Should I leave the characters numbers in blank?

Sczarni 5/5 5/55/5 ***

You can either use the number 999 as a placeholder for "Player did not want credit", or just leave them blank.

Thank you!

Interesting, Return is sanctioned in Additional Resources https://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/additional, but not on any of the product pages https://paizo.com/products/btq01w1w?Pathfinder-Adventure-Path-138-Rise-of-N ew-Thassilon.

This would seem to be a cause for optimism.

Liberty's Edge

Hopefully, they will address it soon. I'd love to report those.
