The Aegis of Empires Adventure Path launches tomorrow May 6 on Kickstarter!

This killer fantasy-horror AP set in the incredibly detailed Lost Lands Setting (which project lead Greg Vaughan spent nearly a decade perfecting with the classic adventures of Necromancer Games and Frog God Games) takes your heroes across the Kingdoms of Foere, Reme, and beyond to uncover the clues of an ancient mystery, a lost prince, an expedition to the ends of the earth, and a silent apocalypse stealthily creeping to overwhelm the land, from the start of their careers up to 17th level!

This spectacular 600-page saga from the powerful pens of Alistair J. Rigg, Jeff Swank, Matt Goodall, Steve Helt, Tom Knauss, Anthony Pryor, and Greg Vaughan is coming your way for Pathfinder Second Edition, Pathfinder RPG (1st Ed), and DnD 5E! Get it for your favorite system, or for all three! Check it out on launch day and prepare for a truly Legendary campaign!

Oh count me in this sounds great

It's cool that you guys are doing a Lost Lands adventure. Does it involve Bard's Gate or Zelkor's Ferry at all?

Bard's Gate might be mentioned in the Player's Guide, but I'd have to go back and check to make sure. I'm personally not an expert on Lost Lands lore so I'll shoot Greg a note to swing by the thread and talk Lost Lands, as he is literally THE expert on the setting!

I can definitely tell you that there are literally HUNDREDS of references to other Lost Lands adventures and products scattered throughout the adventure path, so there is definitely no shortage of connection to the setting and its history!

I'm glad all the writing for this is done and dusted before the KS even starts.

I gotta say it's a lot less stressful doing it this way!

Pledged for PF2 :)

I think this will be an excellent barometer of the interest in 3pp PF2 products, and of course, to see how many of us PF1 folks are still around. :)

Agreed. This will certainly serve as an interesting test case. So far it's fairly evenly distributed across PF1, PF2, and 5E, with PF1 backers getting slightly fewer PDFs and slightly more print books and PF2 and 5E about equal.

And after fully funding in less than 8 hours, we have already knocked down the first TWO stretch goals inside our first day of going live!

Check out the latest update right here!

I'm guessing you've already mapped out the stretch goals, but what I'd like to see, if possible, are the following:

1. Player maps (without secret doors, etc.) that can be handed out;
2. Player visual handouts (such as illustrated rooms - especially ones that are odd-shaped or on a grand scale); and
3. A separate file that has all the maps in one place (unless this is already an appendix in a part of the main book).

Thanks for considering.

Will this have iconic character artwork like the legendary planet and Paizo ap's do?

And still going. This is looking really great. Four stretch goals down, with one just around the corner.

Woohoo, almost double our funding after just two days! Check out the latest update!

As a matter of fact, that is on our list of stretch goals!

Loved working on this AP, and can't wait to see how backers react when they get their hands on it. The Lost Lands lore is deep for those who are into it, but it's going to be pretty easy to shift it into other settings with a bit of tweaking, as well. For example, I'm thinking that I'll probably run this for PF2 but set in Eberron!

Agreed. Those who are Lost Lands fans will find literally HUNDREDS of detailed footnotes and references to adventures and series spanning the last 20 years, but there's also enough world lore baked into the AP and the Player's Guide that you could take the whole region and just drop it whole into another campaign world as is, or reskin to your heart's content to make it fit with another campaign setting.

Somewhat curious if this split is maintaining itself as time goes on or if bigger variation in numbers are starting to crop up.

You can see yourself in the totals for each section.

Currently - Print ($100)
PF1 - 69
PF2 - 47
5E - 64

Digital ($50)
PF1 - 26
PF2 - 24

Total (above tiers only)

These are the $50 and $100 tiers only. Also, these numbers do not include those who may eventually add a second (or third) system in backerkit.

As I said in the other thread: Yay! (I mean, you probably had it planned originally anyway, but yay!)

Now, I watched the interview video, so what kind of stretch goal would it take to get a pdf of Greg's outlines? :) :)

Welp, I got everything I wanted.

UNLESS...you can add a stretch goal where Greg runs the entire adventure for my group. On our schedule. In person.

And brings snacks.

(You'll need to take care of COVID-19 too.)

Plus a FOURTH free adventure coming up at $60,000 with Greg's Feasting at Lanterngeist!
