Evening everyone! A friend is going to start GM’ing RotR soon, and I was wondering about a character idea. I’ve always wanted to try a Redeemer Paladin, and want to know is this a good adventure to try it out in? I’ve never run through the whole thing, so are there opportunities to change the enemies minds and eventually alignments?

Nothing as written, but there are several places where you end up in non-combat conversations through bad guys (often through the use of magic), and you and your GM could use these instances, as well as whatever other opportunities your friend can think of as opportunities for you to attempt to redeem them. If your friend posts here, I can PM them some ideas for specifics.

Yes, there are opportunities to do so. That being said, I would make sure this concept will mesh well with the other players' plans. If they're thinking more in terms of a "fight bad guy first, ask questions later" style of game, you might not find a lot of opportunities to try and redeem someone, which could be frustrating for you as a player.

Yeah, this AP, as I imagine many are, is only as friendly to redeeming characters as the DM permits and the players insist on.
My players, for instance, killed and revived a major enemy in hopes of giving them a second chance, and have tried making friends with another. They successfully redeemed another. Only one of those had anything in-text to justify it - the others were simply options because of creative thinking on my part and, even more importantly, me looking for help on these forums.
As others have advised, ask your DM and your fellow players if running a Redeemer fits their vision of the campaign. If so, go for it! The Redeemer is one of my all-time favorite archetypes.

If your goal is to change the mind of your enemies and redeem them, there are certainly plenty of possibilities for that in this AP. There are enemies that are hell-bent on causing evil, enemies that actually don't want to fight the party but have some reasons to do so, and enemies that might be swayed one way or another. However, definitely talk to your GM so they can prepare accordingly.
For example, in my campaign, I had an enemy that was definitely evil. Then my paladin suddenly tried to redeem them. I was a new GM and unprepared, so I did not give any room for that to happen, as I did not know how to handle the situation. Then the party just fought, which was what I did prepare for so it was easier for me. But it would have been much more interesting if my player had told me in advance he would like to try to redeem them, and if I had made the correct preparations! Then they still might have failed in trying to convince their enemy to change their mind and fought anyway, but at least a different outcome would have been possible.
