I wasn't sure if I wanted to go gunslinger or not. I do have a ranged option, a Legendary Samurai (Yumi Sniper) | Swashbuckler (Arrow Champion).
I think the Samurai classes on one side are going to be a hugely popular choice overall for people - they're fighter-like enough that they make a good, generic side to a gestalt.

So I have both good news and bad news. The tl;dr is that things happened and the primer is screwed, but I'm still willing to run the game.
Let's start with the bad news. The hyperlink problem was fixed by the file's physical address being moved. The bad news is that the 32-page primer, all of the rebalanced playable races, and even the new campaign traits are gone. The file somehow screwed up after the address move and it is now 839 pages of what looks like coding gibberish. Lots of numbers, letters, accents, and blank boxes. There are some RBG letters and values, so I am sure that it's raw code. Not sure what happened, but I don't think that's getting fixed. Had a support ticket up that went nowhere.
The good news is that I am still planning on running the game. It's going to be quite a grind retyping all of that up since I did a lot of it on my phone while I was at work through Google Docs over several weeks. I should be a little quicker at it since I have time off for the holidays. I can't guarantee that it will be within the next week, but I can tell you it's still on. I'll keep a hard copy on my laptop so I can avoid that problem again.
Please let me know if you are a tech person who might know what the problem is. I can send screenshots of some of the chaotic gibberish that the document has turned into through Imagur or something. I know it probably can't be fixed, but I want to know what the problem was.

Oh no! :(
Did it save any kind of version history, if you're on Google Docs? If you click up on the "Last edit was X time ago" link at the top of the doc it should bring up a version history, so you might be able to recover an earlier version of the document. If you moved it around, though, that may not be possible (and if it's not Google Docs it's definitely not possible).

Did it change the file name to gobbledygook too? Something like ~!@n Xia Primer or whatever?
Sometimes Doc swill copy over "two versions" of a file; one of which is corrupted gibberish and the other of which is fine. Check the actual Google Drive folder on your computer(s) and see if there's one whose title is intact. The file should also be fine.

It doesn't have anything under it so I assume that there is no earlier version since it was moved.

The name is gibberish too, yes. Your fix didn't work, but it makes more sense to me now why it screwed up in the first place.
Hm. I run into this issue fairly often myself (I use Google Docs for work, and transfer between my home work computer and work work computer) and that has almost always solved the problem before.
Did you move to a different computer, or just move it from your computer to docs?
If the former, boot up Google Drive Sync on the NEW computer and see if it corrects the issue once it connects them properly; that's also a common issue I run into.

One thing you might want to try right fast is just reopening the document in whatever program you were using on your phone and try recovering it in that program. Most text programs will usually have a recovery tool, and they'll usually get somewhat close (so you might have to, say, delete some garbage characters, but you will be able to see the majority of your text).

Since I am done with the player's document for the day and I have about half an hour before I go over to my grandmother's house to have our Christmas movie marathon, I want to touch on a few changes and additions I have made in this write-up. It's not a huge list, but here it is. More things might be changed or added as I get closer to finishing up the player document.
Changes
- Technology is more prevalent in the setting. Most nations have access to firearms. That doesn't mean that other weapons are phased out. Far from it. Just like the people of the Sengoku and Tokugawa Eras in real-world Japan, most people adhere to the more traditional ways of combat. Firearms are much more common in segmented military units, the setting expy of the Yakuza, and among more daring "adventurer" types that shun tradition in favor of flair or utility.
- Changed the layout of Tian Xia some. It now resembles a true world more than a single continent. This makes more sense given the massive changes that happened during the Great Sundering and the expansion of the broken shards of Golarion during the Making of the Spheres.
- Changed my stance on races. I am adding in a few extra races because they fit the setting. Androids are the biggest new race being allowed in because of the Lands of Ice having much higher technology in this write-up.
- Made a few tweaks to the character creation rules. Nothing major, but they are there.
Additions
- Added a few new player races, including the Leaf Children. The Leaf Children are based on Nioh and Princess Mononoke's Kodama and will be one of the few races of a different size.
- Added in two more continents to Tian Xia's world so I could add in more cool stuff.
- Made a list of all the holidays in Tian Xia's world.
- Made individual timelines of general history for each nation's top ten most important events since the Great Sundering.

Oooh, liking what I'm hearing.
I hadn't even considered the existence of a Yakuza in this setting. I may amuse myself by making another character. I've been on a bit of a Yakuza kick this past year (working through all the games starting from 0; nearly done with Yakuza 3 now) so I may make myself a noble Yakuza sort.
A Majima-alike might be fun to play in a game like this.

Oh, one thing I was thinking of--for the unarmored AC boost, what if you simply allowed everyone to take unarmored training from Spheres of Might? It might be a little easier than trying to adapt that rule from the 3.0 Unearthed Arcana you were looking at. (And apologies if this was already suggested)
