What to do with PFS wooden tokens?

Getting ready for Gen Con I came across eight wooden tokens they gave us during the Pathfinder special OP event. I forget what they were used for, can someone refresh my memory?

Those are/were traded for boons (generally 2 tokens for a roll on the "random boon" table.)

I think two years ago they were talking about phasing out/obsoleting old tokens, but I don't know what happened with that.

Just collector's items now.

They were once used to purchase boons at the events where they were distributed, but in 2017 they changed so that only that specific event's tokens were accepted for boons because people were hoarding them for years and creating unacceptable situations at the trade-in table.

As an additional note, they got rid of the last minute they did on the last day because too many people were (predictably) hoarding their tokens until the last day to get more bang for their buck.

Now, spend them as you earn them. You'll lose out by hosrding.

pro tip: instead of going to the boon booth between sessions, go during your (probable) bathroom break during the session.

I just want to say as a GM that if someone needs to depart the table to use the restroom I'm okay with it as long as they give some sort of notification so we're not holding up a block for someone who flaked and vanished.

Happened to me twice on the overnight at GenCon last year. Person just up and vanished, no word, no warning, left us wondering if they'd been mugged or worse.

I brought home a case of them once they declared past-years no good. I use them as prize tokens at my local on instead now.

But I also dug through to make complete display sets for myself.

If you have any extras to spare, I would love to have a few. I'm putting together a little shadowbox of regional dice and other little PFS memorabilia I've collected over the years.

Can make decent condition markers, too. Slip them under your mini when Enlarge Person fires, when Bard Song is up, etc.
