When can we expect to see the new rules and guidelines in their final form for use by the community and ... well, anyone.
I'm PRETTY sure that the Convention Games that are going to take place in the next week are all going to be for use with Pregen Characters only, but if this is at all untrue, then I think getting the new rules pushed out before the show might be advisable.

The Guide to OP will be released on Monday, July 29th. I think the books are released on Aug 1st.

Pregenerated characters will be available for Pathfinder 2nd Edition events, but you may also create your own characters. As Christian indicated, the Guide is scheduled to be released sometime on the 29th which will allow time for players to create and register their characters before they are played for the first time on the 1st of August.

Do we know where they are going to post this info?
Someone said they posted them but I can't find them.
The pregens have been posted in the NDA covered part of Slack. Otherwise I would expect the pregens to become available for the public on Thursday.
Aww. Was hoping the new Guide to OP would be released today. Maybe Wednesday? Does anyone know?

That said, Monday isn't over yet, and Paizo has been known to release things after the close of typical business hours, so we'll see.

Well, I looked at the add character function in Organized play.. They have added 2nd edition, but still doesn't let you add a character, since the option for Faction is blank, and won't let you add/save until you choose a faction.

I played with that a little bit this morning -- refreshing to see if the factions would show up, because the 2e button appears and disappears on refreshes sometimes -- and now I have three 2e characters listed on my summary page, despite not being able to save changes because of the faction thing. I can't name any of them, but they're there!
Unfortunately, having them there doesn't make any Playtest Point boons show up on that page -- selecting one of them from the dropdown just continues to display "You have not purchased any boons." I was kind of hoping it would, as I'm trying to decide whether I want to start my first character off at second level for my 8 AM game on Thursday.
I guess I'll just have to keep being patient :D

Actually, it gives you an error if you don't pick a faction, but the character does actually get created. You can't modify it without picking a faction though. Presumably this will get cleared up shortly.
