It probably tastes fine but visually I think you should of sliced the tomato a little thinner and trim the part of the pepper that hangs over. Just to get it in that picture perfect photo.

The Exchange

Yeah probably but my knife skills aren't that leet but the garlic on the portobello shroomd were a good idea. The burger is rather messy to consume with all the juice dripping everywhere but this time I managed to hold it since I made the bund earlier. My mom liked it =)

The Exchange

Next week I'm looking at eggplant prawn subs. I really do wish cucumbers had a nice nutritional profile but I suspect I'm still stuck with green peppers since I won't do avocado. I wonder if okra would work out...

The Exchange

I also went for a 22 km hike yesterday. The organisation was not so optimal - the organizers did not walk through the route before hand so there was like 2h overrun. And lots of rushing. My walk speed is rather slow so I was having some problems keeping up with the group (eh not really if I decide to run instead of walk, but keeping within the spirit of the walk).

Eggplant prawn sub sounds awesome. How do you prepare the eggplant and Prawn?

Messy is how you know its a good burger btw.

Well I've healed up enough after surgery that I've started doing my work out again. Starting slow. I can tell It will be more then a few weeks before I get back to where I was.

The Exchange

Eggplant = slice into two, length wide, toast in oven with salt and garlic

Prawns = fry with garlic and black pepper

Now I need to find some greens to stuff in, I'm thinking of okra stir fried with onion with soya sauce added.

Red...I dunno too. Capsicum again?

Trying to get different vegetables, so I can literally eat the rainbow.

Yeah don't push too fast and get injured. My right hind paw is a little twingy after yesterdays long walk but other then that I'm fine. Today was more of a recovery and batch cooking day and only did a bit of bodyweight work.

If you salt the egg plant and let them sit for awhile then pat dry it will get rid of some of the bitterness and make them a little easier to toast.

Didn't realise eggplant could be bitter =o

I think the last time I toasted it I was fine with the taste. Also Woran, yes, Vidmaster and I have that effect on people.

If you're thinking red veggies, I try to keep jars of roasted red bell pepper slices and sun-dried tomatoes (packed in olive oil) in the fridge. Hopefully your local market will have them both for cheaper than Amazon. They both pack a nice punch of flavor and nutrition.

Edit: Casts invisibility on self to hopefully avoid making Woran even hungrier.

I love eating, so its pretty easy to get me hungry :)

The problem is I had green pepper and tomatoes on my burger this week and I'm having tomatoes every day of the week. Hmmm. Can you put stir fried leafy vegetables on a burger?

I would just put my own tomatoes or red peppers. Mmmph I'm that kind of cat. Because red bell peppers with sundried tomatoes in olive oil would fall under imported from western nations, and thus expensive category.

I love eating as well - it's where the hunger is directed to.

Oh Air conditioning! I was like: "what does your armor class have to do with fall damage."

Firstly I don't take falling damage. Feather fall dude! ) *just kidding*

But yes AC as in AIR CONDITIONING is what I'm taking about. It's been VERY helpful to my overall temperament while dog walking. But I REALLY would like cooler days and longer nights.

Thirdly I like corn. Why did I mention that? Mom got some great sweet corn this past week and I hope she'll get some again soon!

I love fresh corn. And air conditioning.

Cheers for fresh corn and air conditioning.

I don't think the're any rules. You can put what you want on it.

To late to edit it but change that to: I don't think they're any rules you can put whatever you want on your burger.

Marmalade?
Creamed corn?
Scrambled egg?
Nutella?
The Michigan State Bureau of Weights & Measures?

Scarab Sages

I think corn from the BBQ is absolutely delicious.

It is Woran it is.

creamed corn on a burger however is Hersey and I take my my previous statement of you can put whatever you want on one.

I think Vid has been possessed by the Spirit of Predictive Text.

I did say that really weird.

So let me break it down

Creamed corn burger bad

I take back my no wrong toppings for burger statement.

Pfft. No reputable study has ever proven the existence of Michigan. It's the Sasquatch of the American Midwest.

*is glad that fresh corn and air conditioning are tops*

Less tops, side swiping your mom's car with her old car while backing out of the garage...

Yipes. Bad?

I was about to add sweet corn kernels onto my burger.

My brother lived in Japan for a few years while in the Navy. Sweet corn is a popular pizza topping there.

Cal,

It wasn't good no...but at least now she's calmed down because I promised to pay for the damage.

Whenever that will be after I get my glasses I guess because I'm sure the lens will run between 600 to 800 dollars...

Wow, I'm so sorry. When it rains...man.

Ouch a 2 for one. that sucks. My mom actually once hit a deer the very first time she drove my brothers brand new car. like her literally just bought it let her drive it and bam!

I tried a sweet corn flavored potato chip by lays once. It instantly made me want to vomit.

I do like regular sweet corn however. I just never thought to put it in everything. Also I do just not like cream corned really.

I think their was a disconnect somewhere.

I like cream corn but again I'm known to be indiscriminate enough to eat anything.

Creamed corn is fine. It's good with salt and pepper. It just isn't particularly good with anything else, except maybe on mashed potatoes as a gravy substitute.

I just climbed 40 storeys for $5. Eh wasn't particularly hard even if it was harder then training climbs(stairs were higher, ventilation not so good). Mmph.

Cal,

Well the raining would be improvement because then I'd have an excuse to not take dogs for long walks. But yeah.

Vid,

It wasn't a good day then...but Tuesday has improved because it's moved me closer to Saturday...and Wednesday I'll be done with at least one client.

One client eh? what is it you do for a living?

Your becoming a regular gym nut Mort. Let us know when you start entering strong woman competitions.

I tried running up the stairs today. Didn't get very far, unfortunately. About 5 storeys before I ran out of steam.

Also I really don't like people passing swiss rolls to me and threatening to throw it away if I don't eat it up. Arrrggghhh the sin of wasting food! It's a perfectly innocent swiss roll you know. I won't actively seek this kind of foods but I don't really turn them down very well either =(

I did deadlift about 30 kg 31 times in 1 min on one Saturday morning but my fellow competitor despite looking a little plump, did a LOT better. Lol. Again I haven't really been doing many reps for deadlifts. Actually I get about 52.5kg for max load on deadlifts.

You just keep falling deeper into the rabbit hole Mort.

But I'm a cat! What would I be doing in a rabbit hole? Only dawgs try to dig for wabbits!

Take the Swiss roll.

Look the other person in the eyes.

Bare your teeth.

Crush the Swiss roll in one mighty fist.

Roar.

Enjoy your subsequent visit to HR.

I can't do that...anyway I probably brisk walked/ran it off. I have no idea how carrying my office bags and brisk walking can get my heart rate to 140 when an hour of aerobics or even a leisurely run doesn't...

I'm a pet sitter/dog walker/guy that takes care of animals for people.

Also I'm a guy not getting paid because I have this stupid idea that family (and one or two family friends) shouldn't pay for my service...

After this week I'm ready to rethink that but I doubt I'll change it since I'm always too damn nice..
