I made omelettes filled with a mixture of fried kale and chorizo for my other half and myself recently, and those were pretty good. She's a confirmed fan of kale.

Give me all your kale. I'll make stamppot.

The Exchange

Kale is pretty expensive here like 4.65 per small pack.

Wow. They were selling it in the supermarket for 20p for maybe 400 grammes?

you eat okra.

My mom and my aunt eat okra too! Tell it to them!

And my brother eats Tempura Okra!

Thomas - you shouldn't be forcing yourself to eat vegetables you don't like. Assuming you have the means, instead of broccoli you could be eating green beans, okra, brussel sprouts, asparagus, zucchinis, eggplants, cucumbers, bell peppers, collard greens, leafy vegetables like spinach, bok choi, pea shoots, snow peas etc -there are plenty of vegetables out there, go find one you like!

Look kale and chia seeds are touted as superfoods, but you don't see me eating them do you?

Kale is ewww, I still have standards, and chia seeds are overpriced. I'm on budget!

Though my mom recently bought some hulled pumpkin seeds so I may just help myself...

you eat okra.

Your standards are quite low.

Which shows you just how low kale is on the roster in comparison.

the roster is apparently upside down, as kale is edible, okra is not.

Oh, they're both edible...just not by themselves.

You can keep your kale and send me all your okra.

Kale is for planting in the garden to keep the bunnies from eating the good vegetables.

You just keep telling yourself that.

So in non-food related but related to my previous comment, I had ANOTHER weird dream. This time it was kind of buddy action comedy where the hitman was using exploding drawers as his weapons. That was before he tried to steal some rugs from this one couple who tried to do that whole "swingers thing"

As one gets older remembering dreams because less and less frequent. Which is sad because, like yours, some of mine were doozies.

I only remember because I woke up thinking "I need to stop eating breakfast and then going back to bed..."

Even though it's how my life is right now...

I had a dream once that I managed to remember enough of to the following morning to write it down. Thanks to that it's one of my most vivid dream memories of all time.

And it inspired a plot idea that I'm hoping to one day turn into a campaign to write/publish.

I just have dreams where I wonder if my brain isn't just channeling bad tv writers...

Maybe the bad tv writers are channeling your dreams, and that's why you can't remember them.

Today is national day so I ran 5 km at a leisurely pace(took me about 35 min to do do), then cooked my various foods for the week(only missing the cucumber), made osmanthus jelly, hit the gym then went to my BFs national day family dinner and made a pig of myself.

Yes, the amount of food I can put away is shocking especially after a workout(weights or cardio it doesn't matter). Did manage to limit the calorie damage by going nuts on the greens - finished like about half a plate of leafy greens by myself. Then went batsh*t crazy on the clams (I figure I need the iron anyway).

Yes, I am one scary vegetable eating monster. Also I was deliberately putting myself on a calorie deficit in preparation for the pigging session.

Speaking of weird dreams, I dreamt that I took my brother to Germany, to show him where I was posted to. Which, in real life, has become a housing complex. Go figure.

Between all of us we can probably find a home for any fruit or vegetable =)

Someone will eat it. Who knows, if kale is cooked right, I may become a kale convert too?

No I'm pretty sure it's because my brain only contains so much. Also I'm pretty sure bad TV writers are just using my brain wave length to make me angry.

Thank you =) Eggplants are more filling and cheaper then portobello mushrooms, going at 39 cents per 100g.

The Exchange

I'll probably start fiddling with chicken and eggplant or fish and eggplant and maybe some French beans as well.

This sounds like an unfortunate (or brilliant) bluegrass/cooking show mashup.

Or a Muppet Show sketch.

Please no porn hub. I already have dog stenches I must contend with right now...

Fortunately it's not someone making a mess on the carpet...

But regardless, if we're going to do muppets and sex, I'd remind everyone what happened with Melissa McCarthy and that abominable movie "The Happy Funtimes Murders."

Have you tried Eggplant lasagna?

The Exchange

Not quite yet but I don't have my mom's permission to do that but again she's been like saying no I can't do this, can't do that all because it's out of her repertoire. Standard langsana has too much cheese, I'll probably have to adapt something with tomatoes and pork(since I'm not allowed beef).

I actually wanted to have it for breakfast, thinking they'd be easier to store.

if you can't watch pornhub without relieving yourself, something has gone horrifically wrong.

Also that movie was...awful.

Freehold,

The second part was my point involving porn and muppets... That it turns out horribly.

I can't comment on the first part...
