HAHAHAHA!
Erm, Um, I mean,
"Shame on you Monkey Santa. You should have at least offered QM his percentage of the sales!"
:)
EDIT- Very cool! I am looking forward to when it hits the store shelves!

Thanks! It's possible you may have to ask your friendly local bookstore to order it, if they don't stock it right away. First-time novels are tricky that way.
And of course it will be on the usual online venue, which Monkey Santa is STILL confused about.

LOL, Oh monkey Santa.
(At least he's been out of trouble for the morning? I'm sure he'll make up for it once he figures it out though,...) ;P

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm making a stop at some weird hipster market for exotic fruit on my way home today, just to keep him from pouncing me. Or, you know, I'll bribe him with Red Bull and banana brandy. MON-key, mon-KEY.

Because I'm perpetually trying to make myself less of a failure re: English (as I'm an English teacher without an English degree), I'm trying to read as many of the classics I should've read in college as I can.
Current project: Wuthering Heights.
...So far, I want to punch the narrator and actually am pro-Heathcliff for being willing to call him a moron. Pop-cultural osmosis tells me this sympathy for Heathcliff will probably not last.
Finished the book. It took a while to get going, but it wasn't as bad as I was fearing...however, it also wasn't as good as people sometimes gush.
Heathcliff is almost beyond suspension of disbelief as a one-dimensional villain. No one else is much better. I can defend it if we dip into lit analysis territory as a necessary commentary on lack of legal recourse for abusive situations and property rights back in the Regency Era (...and today to some extent), but it's very difficult to enjoy the novel as simply a novel when I want to shake every character and bop them with the Rolled Up Magazine of Common Sense Illustrated (Swimsuit Edition).
3 stars, average, didn't die, probably wouldn't read again unless needing to Prove A Point. Might have found the threshold of Not A Better Love Story Than Twilight.

Can I just say,...?
Remember how, just a FEW SHORT MONTHS ago, we were all (aged wizard included) complaining about bad/hard/rough/etc etc our year had been?
(EDIT- And it was!)
I distinctly recall a multitude of posts (including a couple of mine) over several forums that all basically read;
"Can 2019 just PLEASE be OVER now?!?"
So, I would just like to take a moment,...
,... And sincerely apologize to 2019 for ALL of the $#!%%& things we said about it!
;P
AND you may now return to your regularly scheduled rant! :)

Today was a very trying, emotional day. To top it off, my son and his mom got into a huge argument at my house and when I tried to get them to stop I'm suddenly made into the bad guy.
I've had enough of today.
Reminds me of the time my father came home from work and found my brother and his girlfriend making out in the basement rec room. Apparently, he had her shirt off. I came out of my bedroom to see what all the shouting was about, and all of a sudden it was all *my* fault. :-(

We had to say goodbye to a sweet, loving, and beautiful girl tonight. Roxy, my ex-wife's black German shepherd, was 14 years and 2 days old. We had a birthday party for her on the 17th and my son even managed to get her to play catch again by standing a few inches from her and gently tossing her a rubber bone. She got to eat all the bad for her snacks she wanted because we were scheduled to say goodbye to her tomorrow afternoon. She was very happy.
She was my ex-wife's ever-present friend and guardian. Even after she could no longer get on Cindy's bed she had a soft pad to sleep next to her bed on the floor, so she was always near her. She was truly a very, very good girl.
Goodbye, Roxy Girl. We love you so very much.

Bummer!
I hope you all can get together soon. Or at least that your dice come up 20s as you roll them on your table.
We had to put my Strange Aeons campaign on hiatus. I mocked them roundly for being afraid of a mere pandemic, when there were Things Man Was Not Meant to Know waiting to eat their faces...
One of my players keeps saying "We brought this on ourselves! Covid is our fault with all this Xhamen-Dor talk!"
I think it started as a joke. But his eyes are getting mighty wild...

Strange Aeons:The overarching plot involves efforts by an otherwordly fungus Great Old One named Xhamen-Dor to infest Golarion. Merely knowing about him, or dreaming about him is sufficient for the Inmost Blot to spread. One of my players keeps saying "We brought this on ourselves! Covid is our fault with all this Xhamen-Dor talk!"
