Ah. I never watched GOT nor read the books (I know just enough about both to know I wouldn't enjoy them) so the reference was lost on me.

Everything I know about Game of Thrones I learned from South Park.

I've also never seen or read it.

I binge-watched the first season with a friend of mine. I wasn't impressed.

I just got off the phone with a very dear friend whom I've not heard from in over 30 years. It was so good to reconnect. I don't think I realized how much I'd missed the guy until now. My day has been made.

I feel like none of us is living our best life now until we figure out how to make that happen. :)

Snarky observation by my daughter, "Princess/Sorceress"
(And no. I DON'T know where she gets the snark from. I still have ALL of mine, thank you.)

(Sitting on her bed, laptop on the lap-desk in front of her, doing her College work, or as she calls it "Corona University")

Princess- "This has got to be the LONGEST game of 'Cooties' EVER!"

So. Until the data are in, I'm being extra cautious. Washing the cat's paws every time he comes inside.

He's ok with it, but I can't get all the fur off my tongue...

(How to know your doing good as a parent during this stuck at home time)

So, a child, from his bedroom, uses his cell phone and calls his mother, who is in the front room, on her phone.

"Yeah mom? I slept in too late, and missed the bus. So I won't be coming in to 'school' today."

(Your reaction may vary,...)
;P

Awesome.

But then, my house words are "Sarcastic in disaster."

It sounds classier in Latin...

I heard this recently, cant recall where exactly, so pretending it was my niece. It may have been. ;P

My sister (Parent of three kids, talking to her 3 year old daughter):
"I'm sorry sweetie. We can't go to the neighborhood park and play with your friends today."

3-year old girl: "Is it because of the Corana Pirates?"

My sister: ",... Yes."

What could you possibly have against 7 legitimate businessmonkeys conducting legitimate business via Monkrosoft Teams? Legitimately.

Are they trying to buy out Apel Computers and the Simiansung Group?

No no,... you have to sneak in, start out small,

FIRST you get a MonkDonald's in every city & town, and work your way up,

THEN you leverage your way into buying Monkvel Comics and their movie franchises,...

Maybe they should try going into desserts? Rhesus Pieces are pretty popular.

Well, for starters, it's because you're already more than halfway to 12 Monkeys.

In other words, good job! ;P

Is it going to rain?!

Yay!

It seems to have passed after only a few droplets :/

It rained here beginning Saturday night and most of yesterday. It rained a lot.

Lots of rain and some very violent winds and tornadoes here.

There were tornadoes here in Arkansas, as well. One hit the delta town of Helena-West Helena and did a lot of damage, even destroying historical buildings.

Tornadoes here too. My house crushed a witch. Fortunately, my homeowner's policy covered that. Nationwide truly is on my side. And hates witches.

That's nothing! My house crushed three witches, and some noble dude from Scotland!

Though now my floorboards keep prattling on about double trouble or something. Oh! It probably means double points! Score!

My mother is sitting in Oklahoma, where is snowed (lightly) last night.

I am in Southern Lousy-Anna, Using my baby's First Electric Chainsaw to chop down the @#$% spiky-leafed bushes that are a pain in my rump, because it is cool enough to (and I have time) to finally do so.

2020 is officially broken. O_o

Well 'Wizard the ever aging' here discovered one major drawback to being stuck at home with the loving Mrs Wizard.

The 'Honey-Do' list starts getting REALLY long. And more difficult.

I've already repainted/repaired the kids bathroom from top to bottom, and promised to repaint the kitchen area (it IS pretty old and not-good looking) but FIRST,...

"Honey,... do you think you can get rid of those bushes in front like we were talking about? (for the last 5 years) "

Me- "OK, but you know once I get started on this i cant stop until its actually DONE. And I'm not talking about the new flowers or whatever either."

Mrs- "OK!"

me- two days and a whole lot of backache later,... ALL the bushes have been chopped down (thank goodness for 'baby's first electric chainsaw') and hauled to the curb in time for trash pickup tomorrow. And a neighbor kid with a big truck and I got half the roots out of the ground. The EASY half. The rest will require a chain for pulling and/or a whole lotta chopping.
>_<

I've had enough of being 'Off' of work, Can I go BACK to work now?!?!?
;P

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good 12v auto battery maintainer/slow charger that can also jumpstart in a pinch?

Duh.

I hate wasting food but the even-lower-than-usual rate at which I am getting groceries now threw me off the loop. I just discovered that the piece of pork shoulder meat that was waiting its turn in fridge (and got skipped a few times when I had more short-term products, and delayed a few more times when I didn't bother with making a full dinner) is terribly overdue. When I opened the packaging it was definitely smelly and slimy. I could have try to make something out of it, but decide not to risk food poisoning.

Meh. Over two pounds of meat (and approximately an hour of minimum wage work) went to trash :(

Hate that.

Me too!

I eat the leftovers as lunches, because no one else in my house will (hardly ever) touch them! ;P

Who knew that pulling up the roots left behind after chopping down bushes and using a pickup to to pull the stumps out the ground was the HARD part?

Oh, wait, I DID!

(My wife is wondering why my back hurts? Because I hurt it trying to pull up those CONFOUNDED @#$% roots!)
;P
