It sounds good! Great job!

Thanks! We're still working the distribution plan, hoping to get it into national chain stores. If your local store doesn't stock it right away, B&N (or anywhere else) should be able to order copies on request from the publisher.

EDIT: And of course all the usual online ordering venues will be an option. It'll be in e-book and paperback. I wanted vellum scrolls, but scribes are ridiculously expensive these days...

OH WOW!! That is so great! I've wanted to be a writer since I was a kid, but when I began to think about it seriously in my 20s I learned I have writer's block so badly that it triggers massive depression, panic attacks, and becoming physically sick when I attempt it. Kudos to ANYone who can sit down and share their stories with others!

Excellent! Paperback is the way to go, if you can't afford the vellum scrolls, sounds good, I'll look for it.

Ooh! And the map to the lost cyclops kingdom is hidden in one of those Magic Eye puzzles!

I’ll show myself out...

Coolio Daddio! Congrats QM!

I look forward to buying it.
And adding it to the growing collection of books that I really want to read, but havent gotten around to. Yet,...
;P

Sigh, I wish I was joking.
>_<

Seriously, COngrats!
As above, i like to dabble in writing, but haven't the time nor the patience to do much more than that. Kudos indeed to those who can, and DO!

I know what you mean. I feel like at some critical point the number of books I knew about and wanted to read passed the number of books I could possibly read in my remaining lifespan. And I heard a waaamp waaamp noise and immediately got wizened and cantankerous.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

That noise has killed many a dream.

That noise has killed many, many things. ;P

At least I can resurrect my dreams! ;)

Yeah, I had to get smart and STOP GOING TO THE DANG LIBRARY SALES.

When I had three boxes of books, (1 from each sale of the last 3 years) and an already WAY overcrowded set of FIVE bookshelves in my man-cave, erm, OFFICE. It was time to get realistic, and stop going to Library sales, and admit that most of the books I picked up I would never have gotten if they had been regular price.

But for .25 cents per inch for paperbacks, and .50 cents an inch for hardbacks, I could afford to pick up a lot of 'maybes' to check out. ;P

BUuuuuuuuut,... yeah, time to actually READ them is lacking. :(

Time to return some of these by donating them to the library.
Where they will end up on the sales tables again the following sale time,...

;P

Well, it looks like old Monkey Santa got himself stuck in the hoosegow. He’s trapped tighter than Boss Hogg in a cotillion gown at a costume party...

Awww,... nice!

I once had a good dog, mix of Lab and Malamut we thought, (werent sure, but pretty certain)

It was basically a Tan Lab with a fuzzy Chow tail.
THAT dog loved snow.
If we got 1 inch of snow on the ground, that mutt would find a way to tunnel UNDER it!
O_o

Nothing but a hump traveling under the snow, with a fuzzy chow tail poking above like a demented fuzzy periscope,...

What a haribo monster!!

My immediate thought was there should be a sugarfree version of this critter which has a touch attack that requires a CON save or the target is sickened/violently nauseated. (Do NOT click link you might be nauseated by very descriptive product reviews of what an excess of sugar-free gummi bears disgustingly does in the human digestive tract.)

Aged Wizard has returned.

Aged Wizard now need a vacation FROM his vacation!

Aged Wizard LEFT Louisiana to get away from Mardi Gras, and went to play with his fellow wizards in Hogwarts, (currently located in Orlando FL)

And what did Aged Wizard find there? All of Universal studios decked out.,... for MARDI GRAS, complete with a parade.
<Facepalm>
Some days, I just cannot win.

Worldbuilding Woes!

In trying to get my head around scale for story purposes, I've assigned the regions of my continent borders roughly analogous to regions of the US. One of my focus characters happens to be from the New England country, which has had the unfortunate side effect of granting a mental accent that alternates between Brooklyn and Boston and has gotten "Jump Around" to inexplicably get stuck in my head.

Here. Take this pill. It will handle the side effects of world-building. Of course, it has side effects of uncontrollable itching. Luckily, those side effects are, in fact, controllable, with this other pill...side effects?...yeah...but the eye bleeding isn't that bad...ok, yeah, there's a pill that controls the eye bleeding...no, green sweat is normal with this medication...

I love trying to get a common setting established for multiple characters. While figuring out an ultimate goal for character A, I realized there was no way A wouldn't end up running afoul of character B, so I have to gt B's background sorted out since that's a major geopolitics kerfuffle about 20 or so years before character A starts doing things...
