Reference / Cheat Sheet

General Discussion

I playtested this at Paizocon and we had a great reference/cheat sheet that had the actions, conditions, and encounter mode flow on it... it was amazingly helpful.

Is there any chance that we could get a copy of that sheet added to the playtest bundle?

Oh I second this request. Trying to keep players informed of avalible actions bogged down our combat a lot. Even something player made would be great honestly.

They said during a panel they would look into it, but not right away. One of the things they wanted to test is how readable and easy-to-use the book format was without a cheat sheet.

Thanks for the heads' up on that, though I'm not sure I get their logic there. It's really not all that different than what would be put on a GM screen. And honestly, there's too much in so many hundreds of pages to really need to be flipping back and forth constantly for this chart vs. that chart as a GM.

It doesn't matter if it's the most amazing and readable, user-friendly book in the world... there's hundreds of pages, a cheat sheet is going to be necessary.

Oh, I agree with you, just reporting the news. I actually made my own - one with conditions and actions for the whole group, and one with the sample DC tables for me to DM with.

I might have to do that. Even the act of making such a table would help me get the basic actions in my head better.
