Yes! Which is cool because that opens the door to a lot of other equipment giving unique actions/reactions. A parrying dagger might let you riposte an enemy who critically fails to hit you. A Sai might allow a free disarm attempt etc.

That sounds great, making mundane equipment more useful, and flavourful. I do hope all the reactions and 4 tiers of of success/failure are manageable in play.
