Help my grippli with his true love

Advice

Liberty's Edge

Hello,

I have a weird request...then again we are talking about a game with talking dragons, zombies, and magic so weird is relative I guess. I have a grippli rogue character who has fallen in love with a half elf cleric and the feeling is mutual. In the game we make it very plain that we consider our bond as strong as that of a standard husband and wife and we even refer to one another in those terms. We see beyond the physical to the heart of each other and ultimately we feel that's what matters most. However I would like to surprise the other player by being able to change form into a half elf, human, or elf and essentially make our union formal before a priest as well as have a true "marital" relationship...you know where I'm going with that. I've looked everywhere for any kind of magic item that could supply that and so far I have found none. Does anyone out there know of an item that would help me do this? I'm not talking a scroll or similar item that would be very temporary but rather perhaps a ring, bracelet, bracer, headband, ect that could provide a longer duration or be turned on and off when desired. Any help would be appreciated. This is quite literally the princess finding her true love turned into a frog...kind of.

Hat of Disguise, greater version if you want the real deal.

A more permanent option would be a cast of Polymorph any Object.

Find true love with your pillow golem waifu *anime reference for those who know*

I've seen the Greater Hat of Disguise mentioned but I don't know if the mod it is in is legal for play in Pathfinder Society or if that item itself is legal. I tried to find it in the Additional Resources document but I didn't see it there.

Greater Hat of Disguise is not PFS legal according to Archives of Nethys, meaning that item is out.

However, I don't think that this should even be an issue. If the characters are in love as they are, why bother with something like this? To make other players at the table more comfortable with an unorthodox relationship? Doesn't sound like a valid excuse for other players to metaphorically (or literally) puke their guts out, or be estranged to the idea.

I mean, if the other character is fond of you in your current form, I don't think having the means to disguise yourself to your true love is really necessary or even perhaps wanted, based on current information. I'd just not worry about this sort of thing unless it's been expressed otherwise.

**EDIT** Added some terms to avoid confusion of worded intent...

Silver Crusade

Let yourself die and let someone cast the reincarnate spell (druid 4, costs + 1000 gp in material cost) on you? You then come back as a random other race. I'm not sure if that is PFS legal though.

Archives of Nethys has it listed as not legal as well. Man, PFS sure makes you stick to your guns when it comes to choices. I bet you can't even retrain anything either...

Silver Crusade

Maybe a wand of alter self then, combined with ranks in use magic device. Costly, and only works for a few minutes at a time, but for short cerermonies or *ahem* action I guess that works?

Lycanthropy. Rather than either of ypu taking the other's form, come together in a different one. Just need to find a size and alignment compatible wereform.

Curse of the Riven Sky is society legal, though it's a tier 10-11 module... or are you talking about a different module?

Normally Great HoD isn't legal, but it's on the chronicle sheet for Curse of the Riven Sky
