If you're good with spreadsheets you might like this one. Well, I mean, even if you're not it's pretty decent, probably. I haven't actually tried printing it, though.

For PDFs, I really like this one. It is fillable and does the calculations for you. It likely needs an update but it is still highly usable.
That is nice, but it's unfortunate that more stats aren't on the front page. Probably the first character sheet I've seen that didn't have HP and AC on the front.

I'm a big fan of this one. I detest the official Pathfinder sheet with a fiery passion, and this one has all the important bits next to each other. The "feats and features" box is a bit unwieldy, but I just paste a text box right over it. It calculates things from your base stats and you only really have to calculate your to-hit and damage modifiers (it calculates your base melee and ranged attacks, so Weapon Focus and TWF aren't calculated). But the most important part for me is how all the different bonuses to saves and AC are spelled out, rather than the "misc" on the official sheet.

I recommend that if the player is new, you discourage them from any more than a form-fillable sheet. I have seen many players jump right into herolab, pathbuilder, etc and never really learn the mechanics of building a character. The player needs to understand why and how bonuses are calculated, how their feats work, and similar. If they just punch some numbers into a program, they will never become a good player.
