Is anyone able to give me a update on my VA application? My VC is a bit slack in giving me updates.

We've got a couple folks locally waiting for updates too.

Unfortunately it is just a waiting game, as it is all handled by a single person, Tonya Woldridge, and she is *SUPER* busy between cons, the holidays etc. If it is any consolation it took 7 months for my promotion to go through, and I have been doing VA duties before Venture-Agent was a rank.

Use the chain of command to your benefit. If you have attempted to contact your VC with no success, escalate to the RVC.

wasn't the point of the RVC program specifically so it wasn't one person who had to do all the work?

Yes, but as RVCs are volunteers and not employees there is a limit to the things we can do.

So, no

RVCs do plenty of work, the do check/assist/tutor VCs, VLs and VAs and help them to resolve local issues, so fewer things have to be escalated to Tonya.

It is in the very nature of these things, that non-VOs are not really involved in the behind the scenes processes, and thus have limited insight into the unique challenges we face.

You might know this from other jobs, but some decisions are just too important to do for the rank and file and the boss has to be involved, appointing VOs is one of those.

Processing VO appointments/promotions requires direct access to the Paizo database which is something non-employess do not have. Thus, it is left to Tonya to process all VO. The program has been bogged down with the transition to oversight by the Organized Play Foundation and the signing of the volunteer agreement by all VO. Processing hundreds of people through a band-new system takes time when its on top of all the existing activities that are required of the Organized Play Manager.
